Meet the Cast of the Thrilling Zombie Apocalypse Movie "Love You as the World Ends"

Kamen Rider stars Takeuchi Ryoma and Takahashi Fumiya are Hibiki and Yamato in the dystopian zombie film Love You as the World Ends

Based on the hit horror-television series co-produced by Nippon TV and Hulu Japan, Love You As The World Ends ties in all the intertwining stories of a group of survivors trying to stay alive during a zombie outbreak.

Takeuchi Ryoma plays the lead role as Hibiki, a mechanic before the world was plunged into chaos. Hibiki was about to propose to his partner, Kurumi, when the deadly Golem outbreak began. Fighting for survival, Kurumi tragically succumbs to the Golem virus, but miraculously gives birth to their child, Mirai. Mirai’s unusual childbirth piques the interest of researchers who are looking for the cure to the Golem virus, and kidnaps, hoping to further their cause. Hibiki must now climb up Utopia, a refuge from the Golems, to get to the researchers and save his child.

Most notable for playing main character Shinnosuke Tomari of the Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider Drive, Takeuchi Ryoma has been Hibiki for the Love You as the World Ends series for 4 seasons. He’s also cast as Miyabe Arata in Roppongi Class, a remake of the hit K-drama series Itaewon Class.

Takahashi Fumiya plays the second protagonist, Yamato, who came across Hibiki by chance when his car broke down while on a date with the girl he wants to be in a relationship with, Aoi. The pair will meet again as fate brings them together on a quest to find and rescue their loved ones. Aoi is up in the top level of Utopia, where the researchers are secluded, her fate unknown to Yamato. As they face unknown dangers higher up in Utopia, Yamato and Hibiki form a tenuous alliance to increase their chances of successfully getting to the top.

In 2019, Takahashi Fumiya was the first Kamen Rider actor to be cast who was born in the 21st century, playing the protagonist role in Kamen Rider Zero-One. Consistently getting roles in TV drama series, he bagged the lead role for the prime time drama for the first time as Kitada Gaku in Fermat no Ryōri.

Watch them take the ultimate journey as Love You As The World Ends opens in PH cinemas on June 12, an Encore Films film distributed by Warner Bros.

SB19's Pablo and Josh Cullen with BINI and BGYO are Featured Artists in "MYX Hits Different" Season 3

SB19 member Josh Cullen tackles his hardships after debuting as a soloist while also balancing his commitment to his group in the pilot episode of “MYX Hits Different” season 3.

Josh performed his solo tracks “Pakiusap Lang” and “Yoko Na” with Al James. He also shared his perspective on debuting as a solo artist which he described as “hard but fulfilling.”

It’s not an easy responsibility because I really try to give all my efforts with the group and at the same time doing an extra activity like this. It’s like having multiple jobs; it’s hard but fulfilling,” said Josh.

The new season takes viewers into a deep dive to the world of P-pop and how it impacted the landscape of Filipino music. Various local pop soloists and groups such as SB19's Pablo with Josue, Press Hit Play, Dione, 1st one, Yara, BGYO and BINI are set to grace the show.

"The P-Pop phenomenon is beginning to take center stage. Just a few years ago, only curious listeners casually tuned in to P-Pop artists. Today, they have giant multi-ethnic fan bases around the world who identify not only with their music but with what they represent. It's also refreshing for these P-pop music artists not only to be extremely talented but also to project values and positive messages to their fans with their music," said Nino Llanera, MYX Global head of content and programming.

Get to know more about your favorite P-pop acts on “MYX Hits Different” airing on MYX’s YouTube channel every Wednesday, 7pm with replays on MYX (SKYcable channel 23 and Cignal channel 150) every Saturday, 8:30pm.

Puregold CinePanalo 2024 Best Picture “Under A Piaya Moon” Comes Home to Bacolod on May 29

Negrense director Kurt Soberano’s debut masterpiece Under A Piaya Moon, which bagged eight major awards at the 2024 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival including Best Picture, will have a commercial screening run in the province that inspired it.

The award-winning film, starring Jeff Moses, Pau Dimaranan, Chart Motus, and veteran actor Joel Torre will open in Ayala Malls Capitol Central and SM City Bacolod on May 29.

In its premiere at the recently concluded Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival, Under A Piaya Moon captivated audiences and critics alike. It nabbed eight awards and numerous nominations including Pinakapanalong Mahabang Pelikula (Best Full-Length Film), Panalong Aktor for Jeff Moses (Best Actor), Panalong Pangalawang Aktor for Joel Torre (Best Supporting Actor), a Mowelfund Special Citation, MTRCB Responsableng Paglikha, Panalo sa Cinematography, Panalo sa Editing, and Panalo sa Production Design.

Many critics praised the film, with Marco Sumayao of Adobo Magazine calling it “meant for the global stage,” which “couldn’t have been told by other voices or in other settings.” Respected film critic Philbert Dy further opined on his personal Letterboxd, praising Joel Torre’s acting as ”such a fine performance that it practically makes the film worth recommending on its own.”

Under A Piaya Moon is Soberano’s beautifully crafted homage to his province Negros. Unlike many award-winning films dominated by Manileño culture, Piaya Moon is a defiant film, with its dialogue being spoken entirely in the local Negros language of Hiligaynon. Upon its release, it was adored by audiences and critics alike for its sincere display of Negrense culture, particularly its rich culinary tradition.

According to director Kurt Soberano, the choice to put Negros Occidental was a labor of love, as a Bacoleño himself. For him, few provinces have changed and grown the way Negros Occidental has throughout the years, which makes it a perfect backdrop for a story like Under the Piaya Moon, which is all about growth, exploration, and perseverance.

It’s in the sweetness of piaya and the depth of muscovado sugar that this movie seeks to reflect the collective identity of Negrenses, and our indomitable, enduring spirit,” says Soberano. “I made this movie in part to celebrate Negros, both to celebrate how it’s progressed, and preserve the culture we can’t afford to lose.”

Outside of being a landmark film when it comes to Negrense culture, Under A Piaya Moon is also notable for being a heartwarming film about the delicate balance of professional success and personal growth, and how the breaking of bread can bind families. The film tells the story of Stephen, who arrives in town as the heir to his grandparents’ local panaderia, but finds himself caught between his professional aspirations, his family’s troubled past, and the irresistible pull of Negrosanon culture.

We are proud to have premiered Under A Piaya Moon at the 2024 Puregold CinePanalo and are eager to see it run in the province that inspired it,” said Puregold President Vincent Co. “This film marks a significant milestone in representing the cherished province of Negros in cinema, and we are confident our audiences will appreciate and enjoy it.”.

Ms. Ivy Piedad, Puregold Senior Marketing Manager, concurs with this sentiment. “It’s very rare that Negros culture is celebrated in this way, with this much care and artistry put into it,” said Piedad. “We’re more than proud to be part of something as personal to the province.”

Under A Piaya Moon will be screening in Negros beginning May 29 at Ayala Malls Capitol Central and SM City Bacolod. All interested watchers are invited to partake in the cinematic event and buy their tickets before the screening run ends.

(Music Video) "Nasa Atin ang Panalo" SB19, BINI, SunKissed Lola, Flow G and Puregold's Ultimate OPM Collaboration

After weeks of building anticipation and dropping hints on their social media platforms, Puregold has finally unveiled the music video to the new song “Nasa Atin ang Panalo.”

Released on May 25, the video is a must-watch for Pinoy pop fans. It serves as the ultimate collaboration of four of the country’s most sizzling musical acts: SB19, BINI, SunKissed Lola, and Flow G.

"Nasa Atin ang Panalo" Music Video:

These four artists are the powerhouse acts in Philippine music today. Collaborating with them is an excellent opportunity to reinforce Puregold's brand message,” said Vincent Co, President of Puregold Price Club, Inc.Puregold proudly celebrates their achievements and is dedicated to continuously uplifting Filipino talent. And as we look forward to our 500th store milestone, it’s a privilege to have these artists produce a song that authentically represents our core values.”

The music video shows all four acts together singing and dancing along in a stylized Puregold store. They flaunt their diverse talents: harmonizing, dancing to exciting choreography, playing instrumental solos, or, in the case of Flow G, writing and rapping their own verses.

Beyond just the monumental feat of having all four mega acts in a single music video for the same song, “Nasa Atin ang Panalo” also celebrates the people of Puregold. Dancing alongside them and sharing the spotlight in the music video are the everyday shoppers and store staff that keep Puregold a running success from day to day. Puregold’s very own Aling Puring even makes an appearance to jam with the country’s biggest stars.

The song perfectly captures the “panalo” spirit that has defined Puregold’s long history in the retail business. Beyond that, it also speaks to the “panalo” stories of the artists involved in creating it. Each one has come into this project with their own stories of success.

SunKissed Lola’s relentless ascent in the industry affirms their commitment to turning dreams into reality. BINI’s growth and coming-of-age narrative serves as a reminder of the profound value of transformation and evolution over time. Flow G’s unwavering determination in the face of constant obstacles demonstrates his resilience and resolve to forge ahead. SB19’s journey, filled with triumphs and trials, is a powerful example of the ability to bounce back and confront each new day.

The collaborative song combines all of these elements in a single that can be enjoyed online now and soon on streaming platforms like Spotify.

Excitingly for Pinoy pop fans, there’s even more looming on the horizon. All four artists have already teased solo tracks that will soon drop with Puregold in the forthcoming weeks. Each new original song will dive further into the artists’ individual qualities that have allowed them to reach their “always panalo” dreams. Fans are encouraged to keep a close eye on Puregold’s social media accounts for further developments.

StarPop’s Newest Singing Heartthrob Rob Blackburn Muses on Finding Love in Debut Single "Biyernes ng Gabi"

Former “Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10” housemate Rob Blackburn who now goes by the mononym Blackburn longs for a deep connection with his beloved in his debut single “Biyernes ng Gabi.”

He performed the song for the first time at the “Star Magic Hot Summer 2024” event where he also showcased his fitness transformation.

”Biyernes ng Gabi” captures the feeling of relief during the last day of a work week and how it would be a perfect day to spend with someone special.

There was this time my family was outside of the country, I was left on my own, and my friends constantly invited me out on Fridays. I sometimes felt Fridays could be hectic if it’s not spent with the right person. I wanted to relax on Friday nights with a special person, though I’m still not sure who she is yet,” he said.

Blackburn composed “Biyernes ng Gabi” while StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos led its production.

From an early age, Blackburn discovered his love for music through singing at parties, talent shows, and joining musicals during his high school.

I fell in love with using my voice to entertain others and I found what I was good at. I then sang more consistently, whether or not that was recess in school, my room, the bathroom or humming to melodies in the classroom. I enhanced my passion by joining talent shows and performing as a singer in community parties,” the StarPop artist shared.

He continued to flourish as an actor starring in the Pie Channel series “The Chosen One” and “Eat Pray Love.” Now, he begins to venture into music where he can showcase his passion for singing and songwriting. Some of his musical influences come from rock bands such as Blink-182, Sum 41, My Chemical Romance, The Goo Goo Dolls, Eraserheads, Rivermaya, and Kamikaze and pop artists such as Ed Sheeran and Maroon 5.

Check out Blackburn’s debut single “Biyernes ng Gabi” available on various digital streaming platforms.
