Travel the Philippines in Minutes with the New AirTrav PH UberChopper Service

Filipino company AirTrav Corp. (AirTrav PH) owns and operates air charter services in response to a growing need for quicker travel between shorter distances in the country.

AirTrav PH travels daily except on Tuesdays from Manila-Clark-Manila and Manila-Puerto Galera-Manila. They also offer chartered flights.

You can travel from Manila to Clark in 30 minutes (one way fare is Php4,500) and from Manila to Puerto Galera in 40 minutes (one way fare is Php6,000).

The company, which has an Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines and a non-scheduled domestic carrier certificate from the Civil Aeronautics Board, operates out of its own hangar located at the Manila International Airport in Pasay City, flying the Robinson R-44 Raven II and the Cessna Grand Caravan Ex Amphibian.

The Robinsons R44, which was made in Torrance, United States, can seat up to three passengers comfortably. It can fly up to 300 nautical miles, which means three hours without refueling.

The Cessna Grand Caravan 208 is the largest single-engine airplane ever produced by Cessna. It can seat eight passengers comfortably plus their luggage and personal items. It can also safely land on water.

AirTrav PH helicopter pilots undergo factory training directly at Robinson's manufacturing facility in the United States. For the seaplane pilots, they are trained by Flight Safety Australia.

Aside from this, the aircraft and pilots are insured by the country's premier insurance firm, Pioneer Insurance and Surety Corp., for its airframe, passengers, cargo and crew.

In 2015, AirTrav teamed up with ride hailing app Uber to launch the first and only UBERCHOPPER service in the Philippines. With Uber's extensive network, AirTrav was able to roll out an on-demand helicopter service within Metro Manila.

AirTrav PH is also the designated helicopter tour provider for the annual Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival held at Clark, Pampanga.

AirTrav PH also provides VIP helicopter transfers, city tours, marriage proposals and flower droppings. Medical evacuation, search and rescue, and disaster response are also offered in conjunction with the Philippine Red Cross.

This year, Airtrav Philippines Inc. has expanded its business to transport more people directly to their Philippine destinations with the acquisition of the new Cessna Grand Caravan Ex Amphibian.

Hugot-Tawa Movie "The Write Moment" Starring Jerald Napoles and Valeen Montenegro Now Showing in Theaters Nationwide

What do you do when the love of your life, the woman you dream of growing old with, suddenly breaks up with you for the most cliché reason of simply growing tired of your relationship? For wedding videographer and occasional movie script writer Dave, he writes a screenplay depicting their happy ending and surprisingly finds himself living out his written story with a mysterious twist.

Such is the premise of the film "The Write Moment," now showing in cinemas nationwide.

Produced by The IdeaFirst Company and Viva Films with CMB Films, The Write Moment is top-billed by Jerald Napoles as Dave and Valeen Montenegro as his lady love, Joyce. Unlikely as their pair may be, this ordinary guy-beautiful girl team-up proved to be an effective combination in presenting the poignant yet hilarious scenes of a fantasy love story gone wrong.

Anyone who has suffered a heartbreak, or even those who have a penchant for stories of the lovelorn who still fight for love, will surely relate to the film’s unorthodox “hugot lines” and laugh at the cheeky humor of this fantasy romantic comedy.

Directed by Dominic Lim, The Write Moment was an original entry to last year’s QCinema International Film Festival and it received good reviews on how the movie’s surreal moments took viewers to a “wildly entertaining trip to the dark side of love.” The story itself is an existential journey depicting the realities of life and love, which is perfectly played out by Jerald and Valeen with their own individual flairs and eccentricities.

GSK Pioneers World BPH Day: Advocates Men's Prostate Health Awareness Through “FUN to be WISE on BPH” Campaign

  • 24% of Filipino men aged 50-59 suffer from Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) with at least moderate symptoms

  • FUN to be WISE on BPH campaign aims to inform Filipinos about BPH symptoms
so men can consult their doctors and achieve better quality of life

GlaxoSmithKline Philippines (GSK), a global leading healthcare company, is pioneering World BPH Day on June 25 through the “FUN to be WISE on BPH” advocacy in order raise awareness about the disease and help improve the quality of life of Filipino men.

According to the Harvard Medical School, most men eventually develop some type of prostate problem, including BPH 3 . Patients affected by BPH often have to deal with sleep disruption and sexual dysfunction. Their daily activities and outdoor trips are also limited and can be a source of embarrassment. If untreated, BPH can also lead to Acute Urinary Retention (AUR) and may require surgery.

In the Philippines, 24 percent of men aged 50-59 years old suffer from at least moderate symptoms of BPH, a common disease that causes the prostate to increase in size as a man ages. BPH is not malignant or cancerous but it can affect the flow of urine.Whether it is incontinence or painful urination, this will definitely hinder the way a person lives.

Every man at the prime of his life deserves a life where he can enjoy the things that he loves to do - such as trips with his family and sports like biking and hiking - without any hindrances and discomforts caused by BPH.

The FUN to be WISE advocacy addresses not just men but every person to take action.

Men are urged to consult their doctors while others can tell the important men in their lives to seek medical advice and treatment.

The good thing about BPH is that the symptoms are noticeable.

With GSK’s FUNWISE acronym, which is based on the International Prostate Symptom Score, men can know if they are experiencing symptoms of BPH.

F for Frequency: Over the past two months, how often have you had to urinate two hours after you finished urinating?

U for Urgency: Over the past month, how often have you found it difficult to postpone urination?

N for Nocturia: Over the past month, how many times do you typically get up at night to urinate?

W for Weak Stream: Over the past month, how often have you had a weak urinary stream?

I for Intermittency: Over the past month, how often have you found yourself to have stopped and started again while you were urinating?

S for Straining: Over the past month, how often have you had to push or strain to begin to urinate?

E for Incomplete Emptying
: Over the past month, how often have you had a sensation of not emptying a bladder completely after you finish urinating?

You can improve the quality of your life even if you’re suffering from BPH.

Consult your doctor for diagnosis. Remember, it is never too early but it can be too late.
