(Video) SpongeCola - Jeepney (English version) Live Performance

Sponge Cola vocalist Yael Yuzon did an on-the-spot English version of their hit song "Jeepney" in LG G6 launch event held at SM Mega Fashion Hall last Tuesday because “Technically, I’m not allowed to speak in Filipino,” he said.

Check out  the original lyrics of “Jeepney” and the song’s on-the-spot English translation below:

I disembarked from a jeepney
Where two of us were once side by side
We were cheek to cheek, we were cheek to cheek, yeah
That's how it was

Your hanky in my pocket
Oh yesterday remains and permeates
Our laughter gives way to the heat we have inside

However right now, there’s no more (there’s no more)
You have gone away, away

I remember all of the nights
Lying down underneath the space
I remember all the nights
Side by side in the rain

Oh the color of your smile and the curls of your hair
Oh the softness of your lips, yeah, oh the softness of your lips

Your shadow from afar, it’s all I ever want to see
To stop me from feeling what it is to be cold inside

Maymay Entrata and Kisses Delavin Join SKYathon Boracay Beach Run on April 22

Excitement is written all over the faces of Pinoy Big Brother season 7 Lucky Big Winner Maymay Entrata and Second Lucky Big Placer Kisses Delavin as both girls fly to Boracay for SKYATHON, the beach run with a mission to rehabilitate the island’s coral reefs.

Describing the trip as a bucket list wish come true, “PBB” grand winner Maymay who is a first time Boracay goer, is looking forward to swim, dive, ride a banana boat, and drive a jetski on the pristine blue waters of Boracay.

But Maymay is much more excited to run on the island’s powdery white sands and join the coral reef planting as she is set to participate in SKY Cable’s SKYATHON beach run that aims to help restore Boracay’s beauty and rich marine ecosystem.

It will be my first time to join a coral reef planting and I’m very, very happy to be part of this cause because this advocacy is very important since the coral reefs are damaged,” Maymay said.

It’s important that we keep the environment beautiful and clean,” she added.

Maymay shared that she has been stretching to survive her chosen beach run category, while her fellow alumna Kisses has been running on the treadmill as part of her beach run preparation.

Meanwhile, Kisses also revealed that she and Maymay dream of travelling more together in the future.

We really love travelling. We’ll be in Boracay for three days and after SKYATHON, we plan on swimming, eating, and just relaxing at the beach,” Kisses explained.

Another Kapamilya actor who will be joining Maymay and Kisses in SKYATHON is former “Doble Kara” star, Anjo Damiles.

Anjo has also been running every morning and spending time in the gym to prepare for SKYATHON and he is eager about coral reef preservation.

I have watched several videos and I really hope that we can help preserve our coral reefs here in the Philippines and save our planet,” he said.

According to a DENR assessment conducted in September 2015, coral bleaching, unregulated diving, and the spread of crown-of-thorns starfish have caused damage on Boracay’s coral reefs. The rehabilitation project can help coral reefs to recover for Boracay to sustain it’s a healthy marine ecosystem.

SKYATHON’s last day of registration is on Thursday (April 20) at Rudy Project and Chris Sports in Boracay. Aspiring SKYATHON runners can choose from a 3K (P500), 5K (P600), and 10K (P800) beach run. A race kit includes a singlet, timing chip, loot bag, and a finisher’s medal.

Sarah Geronimo Makes a Jollibee Comeback with ‘Don’t Forget the Hashtag’ Video

After releasing a series of viral videos, Jollibee now features its long-time celebrity endorser Sarah Geronimo in a full-production commercial worthy of its own hashtag. The newest clip shows the Popstar Royalty shining on stage while singing "Don't forget the hashtag" and dialing the leading fast food chain's nationwide express delivery hotline, #8-7000.

The advertisement is a follow-up to the video "Isang Number Para sa Pinas", which featured Sarah alongside promising young performers Juan Karlo Labajo and Elmo Magalona.

"Kinareer talaga namin 'yung rehearsals. Kaya sana kapag lumabas na 'yung commercial, magustuhan ng tao at siyempre masubukan din nilang magpa-deliver sa Jollibee. (We really put in a lot of effort during the rehearsals. I hope that when this video comes out, people will like it and, of course, try Jollibee delivery themselves.)

The total performer shares her excitement in doing the TVC, especially to show Filipinos how easy it is to order their langhap-sarap favorites and have it delivered from anywhere in the country, by dialing just one number.

Being a fan of well-loved treats like Chickenjoy, Jolly Spaghetti, and Peach Mango Pie, she recalls trying to get the numbers straight just so she and her friends can order their favorites.

"Naaalala ko na naka-post sa ref namin 'yong flyer na may number ng pinakamalapit na Jollibee branch sa amin. Tapos nagkaroon ng 8-7000 sa Metro Manila. Swerte na lang ngayon kasi may #8-7000 na Jollibee Delivery Hotline narin at lahat na, from Luzon to Mindanao, pwede na magpadeliver. Kailangan lang pindutin yung #, wala nang area code." (We used to rely on Jollibee flyers and saved the number of the Jollibee nearest us. Then 8-7000 was launched in Metro Manila. Luckily, we have #8-7000 now which allows us to call in Jollibee anywhere, from Luzon to Mindanao. We just need to press the "#" first and we don't need area codes anymore).

Touring the country for mall shows, appearances, and multiple commitments, Sarah finds convenience in using one number for great-tasting and consistently satisfying food from Jollibee Delivery.

"Iba talaga 'yung Jollibee eh. Isipin mo, isang dial lang sa #8-7000, matitikman mo ulit 'yung favorite mo. Masaya na 'pag nag-crave ako ng Chickenjoy, mabilis lang, tatawag na lang." (Jollibee is really one-of-a-kind. Imagine, you just have to dial #8-7000 and you can already have your favorites delivered. I feel happy whenever I crave for Chickenjoy. It's very accessible, I just need to call.)

Sarah gladly shares her secret to remembering Jollibee's nationwide hotline. "Naalala ko because of our latest jingle, masaya pakinggan!" (I remember it because our latest jingle is just fun to listen to!)

"What I really love about Drax is he's not what you'd expect from reading the comics," Bautista says. "Everybody was expecting one thing, and we gave them another. It makes it more interesting. It's easy just to be the big guy who's always growling at people and intimidating people. We've seen it a million times. But when you get the same guy who looks the same way but just says the most ridiculous things that make you laugh, it makes him more interesting."

Continuing, he adds, "And he's also got that side to him that's just all heart. He's still heartbroken over the loss of his family. And I love that dynamic, man. I love playing with that. It's challenging. It makes it's interesting. It makes the character loveable and it makes people connect to him."

In the movie, Drax develops a friendship with a new character, Mantis, played by Pom Klementieff. Describing their relationship, Bautista says, "It's hard to think that Drax would have some innocence to him but he really does, and it comes out in this film. That's in the connection he has with Mantis. There's a lot of innocence in both characters. They're almost like two kids who find each other and become playmates. They just connect on a certain level that they can't connect with anybody else. They're both suffering from some pain and learning new things and new feelings, new experiences. They're going through that together and that's where the connection is."

The opportunity to work with Chris Pratt again was a plus for Bautista. "On a personal level, I think everybody involved on this film will agree that we just love him," Bautista says. "He's just such a good dude; a good, kind-hearted person. I can't say enough good things about him. He is what you see. There's nothing superficial or pretentious about Chris. He's just got a great energy about him and he's a very positive person. And that all trickles down. When you get number one coming to set who's always in a good mood, it's hard to be that guy who is in the bad mood or complaining."

Working with director James Gunn once again proves to be a positive experience for the actor. "It's great because the writer is there and the director is there, all in one person," says Bautista.

He adds, "Drax is the vehicle for James Gunn's twisted, witty sense of humor. I love when I'm shooting and delivering stuff that I can hear James off in the distance laughing because I know that it is what he wanted. That it is what he was expecting out of the dialogue that he wrote. That in itself makes me feel really good because I love giving him what he wants."

Bautista is confident that audiences will connect to the film on a personal level. As he says, "The first film was more about people coming together for the greater good. And I think this film is more about relationships with people. It is the story of a family. Your family doesn't always have to be blood family. They can be chosen family. So I think this is more of a relationship film, and everyone can relate to that."

Set to the backdrop of 'Awesome Mixtape #2,' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes' aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Opening across the Philippines on April 26, 2017, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is distributed in the Philippines by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
