Did Jake Ejercito Admit He’s The Real Father of Andi Eigenmann's Daughter Ellie?

Jake Ejercito surprised everyone with his meaningful post on Instagram few weeks after Maxx Eigenmann revealed that he is the biological father of Andi Eigenmann’s daughter Ellie.

On his post, Jake seemingly admits that he is truly the father of Ellie. He started his sweet message addressed to the young child by saying that “I’ve been here for you even before your first precious breath- nothing and no one has or will ever change that.”

Jake’s full message:
There will have been a lot of things you’ve heard and read by now and I’m glad you’ve somehow stumbled upon this. Cause this is one of the very few truths that matter.

It may have taken me years to find out by myself, but I’ve been here for you even before your first precious breath- nothing and no one has or will ever change that.

You’ve only brought good things to my life and I promise to do the same to you a hundredfold. Know that everything has been and will always be for you. And that I will hold your hand the whole way through.

I can’t wait till you start asking me questions. Although words will certainly fail to express how much I love you, our love story is filled with fun, optimism, and immeasurable bliss. It’s a story of a million beautiful memories that no one can ever take away from us and I’d endlessly be proud to share it with you.

As we always tell each other whenever we part ways or go to sleep, you will always be my princess and I, your first love.

Stay real and stay bright, my love x”

Few weeks ago, Andi Eigenmann’s sister Maxx revealed to host Mo Twister during her interview on the podcast of Good Times with Mo that Jake is the real father of Ellie.

Philippines Bids Slow Internet Connection Goodbye; International Study Reveals Improved PH ICT Performance

Various foreign indexes have noted an improvement in the state of information and communications technology (ICT) in the country which is attributed to the innovations made by telecom service providers (telcos) and the Philippine government to develop the sector.

In the latest survey conducted by the United Nations Public Administration Country Studies (UNPACS) among UN member-countries, the Philippines climbed 24 notches to rank 71st out of 193 countries in "e-government development.

The survey uses E-Government Development Index (EGDI) as composite indicator of the willingness and capacity of national governments to utilize ICT in the delivery of public services.

The country's latest standing is a significant improvement from its 95th rank during the initial survey done in 2014 that is based on three important dimensions of e-government, namely: scope and quality of online services (OSI), development status of telecommunication infrastructure index (TII), and inherent human capital.

On the other hand, a report done by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., the largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer in the world, cited a marked improvement in the development of ICT in the country.

The Philippines ranked 38th this year in the Huawei's Global Connectivity Index (GCI) 2016---up four places from last year's index---and even topped the Starters category. This category measures how 50 nations are progressing with digital transformation using ICT.
The country moved two notches up from its 2015 ranking with a score of 33 to lead the Starters category, which are countries considered to be at the early stage of ICT infrastructure build-out.

The focus of countries classified under the Starters category is on increasing ICT supply to give more people access to the digital world.

GCI 2016 also noted improvements in the number of homes with computers in the Philippines as well as in smartphone penetration and mobile broadband subscriptions.

Meanwhile, the Philippines hopes to further improve its standing in the global ICT Development Index (IDI) this year after gaining an upgrade in the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) list in 2015.
The country ranked 98 out of 167 economies in the world in 2015, an improvement of eight notches from year 2010 in the "Measuring the Information Society Report" released by the ITU yearly since 2009.

The 2016 report is set to be launched on Nov. 22 during the World Telecommunication/ICT Indicators Symposium (WTIS) 2016 in Gaborone, Botswana.

Hopes are high that the Philippines will continue to put up a good showing in ICT development as the ITU report last year noted that levels of ICT access, use and skills continue to improve all around the world.

In the Asia Pacific region, ITU said middle-income countries, in particular, have shown considerable improvements in their IDI values between 2010 and 2015.

Improvements in the Philippine ICT sector could be attributed to the innovations made by telcos and the Philippine government to develop the ICT industry in the country.

The Philippine government, through the years, had developed ICT laws concerning electronic commerce, digital signatures, consumer protection which are responsive to the needs of the different stakeholders of the industry.

Telcos, for their part, have provided substantial investment in infrastructure. They have already started to transition from 3G to 4G in urban and business areas to address the demand for higher data usage. #

Teejay Marquez Takes Indonesia by Storm, Named Dubsmash Boy Wonder of Indonesia

In this exclusive interview with Inside Showbiz Weekly, young actor and Dubsmash wonder Teejay Marquez sizes up his career as he prepares to conquer more goals.

It’s not the first time this has happened. A performer from the Philippines makes it big abroad. This time, it’s Teejay Marquez. He of the angelic, dimpled face adored by fans in Manila would cross borders and end up making waves overseas.

On top of his acting gigs in the local scene, it would be the millennial’s playful presence on social media, which has earned him the moniker Dubsmash King, that would serendipitously take his showbiz career to Indonesia. Now back in the country, Teejay finds himself firming up his current and future career goals. It is a new move for the easygoing, happy-go-lucky chap who didn’t exactly seek to be in the limelight.

To be honest, I never planned to be in showbiz,” declares the young heartthrob.

Teejay, who just turned 23 last September 29, would grow up to be the independent young man he is today. “I am an only child. My parents are from Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija, but I grew up here. My parents are separated. I grew up with my grandma. I’m a lola’s boy. I used to stay with my father but he passed away recently.

Pero my mom and I talk naman. But I only met her when I was 18 years old. She has her own family already na din kasi. I was born nasa 3rd year high school ‘yung parents ko. It was a young love, puppy love. Now, I live talaga with my lola. Before inaalagaan niya ako. But now it’s my turn to take care of her.”

Showbiz would come to Teejay unplanned and unexpected. “It just started because of my friends. They were the ones who were in showbiz, into modeling. They would go to VTRs tapos kasama nila ako. I was 19 nung na-discover ko na gusto ko pala ‘to. Nung nakuha ako, it was fulfilling for me kasi for the first time I earned my own money. Then, ganun pala ‘yung feeling na makuha for a commercial.

Teejay would soon realize there was more to what he thought was a pastime. “To be honest, as a first-timer, it really gave a boost to my confidence. Tumatak sa‘kin na if I want something, and if you just focus and try, baka pwede talaga. So after nun, I started seeing it as a job. Hindi ko naman tinitignan as business ‘yung showbiz.

With his newfound perspective, Teejay would eventually transition from commercials to television and movies. “When I was doing commercials, ‘yung mga kasama ko na models started entering showbiz.” Luckily, Teejay’s initial reluctance to get into acting would yield something positive for him. “I auditioned. I went to the networks and fortunately, after ko mag-audition sa GMA, nakuha ako.”

Teejay recounts, “My first teleserye was Tween Hearts. Dun nagsimula. Dati inisip ko lang na trabaho. But I was having fun. Hanggang sa minahal ko siya and na-feel ko na kaya ko. So wala talaga siya sa plano nung umpisa.”

For three years, Teejay would earn his showbiz stripes. Teejay muses that his most memorable stint so far has been the Kapuso TV series Tween Hearts. “Alam mo naman sa Pilipinas, when you are part of a barkada show, everybody goes crazy over you. So talagang from zero tapos ngayon, eto na.”

Things would take a different turn for the young actor on social media via the popular lip-sync app Dubsmash. “Last year, talaga namang trending ‘yung Dubsmash. Everyone was doing it and ‘yung Twerk It Like Miley was a really cool song. Nagulat ako na after I posted my Dubsmash video of the song—hindi ko naisip that it will go viral—madaming nag-view, madaming natuwa. Tapos nung kinabukasan, iba na. From ten thousand views, naging one million na agad.”

It was more of having fun and nakikiuso para sa mga followers ko sa Instagram and Facebook. Para makita nila na kalog din ako, yung funny side ko. So, it was like that until naging viral na and umabot siya sa Indonesia.”

Little would the guy know his videos would find an unexpected but appreciative audience beyond the local scene. “After maging viral sa Pilipinas, nagulat ako na my following was increasing very fast. ‘Yung four hundred thousand naging seven hundred thousand na. Nagtataka ako. ‘Is this a joke?’ Sabi ko ‘baka may nagbibiro sa ‘kin.’ But looking at their comments—hindi ko maintindihan ‘yung language because it’s different. But based sa mga emojis they use, happy naman. Parang natutuwa naman sila pero hindi ko pa sila kilala.”

Tracing how he would subsequently earn an Indonesian fanbase, Teejay declares, “Dun siya nagsimula hanggang sa may nag-message sa ‘kin from Indonesia na they want to try me out for a commercial kasi looking at my Instagram account daw, I have Indonesian fans, may market sa Indonesia. Akala ko talaga joke lang kaya hindi ko masyado pinapansin. Syempre, takot din ako mag-risk kasi hindi siya dito sa Manila lang. So talagang umabot sa point na hindi ko sila pinansin for three months.”

A friend of Teejay, who owns a talent agency, would push him to pursue the offer from Indonesia after he was messaged by Indonesian producers who wanted to get Teejay as a talent.

Sinubukan ko,” Teejay would admit openly. “Once I got there, I found out na TV station pala ‘yung nag-contact sa agency. They wanted to interview me right away. Pagdating ko dun, parang ‘seryoso ba ‘to?’”

Once he was there, things would run at full speed for Teejay. “It happened sa first week pa lang. Prior going to Indonesia, nagpo-post na ako sa Instagram na nag-aaral ako ng Bahasa (Indonesian language) so everyone was expecting na pupunta ako doon. Feeling ko nakita na rin ‘yun nung TV stations kaya pagdating ko dun, may nakahanda nang projects.”

Teejay would immediately land a big role for a TV show there. Teejay reveals, “Lead role ‘yun. I played a foreigner in the soap.” This, in turn, would lead to something even bigger for the fresh import.

At first, Teejay thought the prospect would not lead to something. He was given the offer on a Saturday and by Monday, “kinausap ako, pinakwento nila ako ng story ng life ko—story ko about Dubsmash, kung paano ako naging artista.”

Teejay remembers, “May mga writers din dun. Tapos, ni-sync nila ‘yung Filipino story ko to Indonesia. Nilagyan nila ng romantic side. Talagang nag-brainstorm sila sa story ko. Deep inside na-appreciate ko kasi first time ko lang magkaka-pelikula na ako ‘yung bida and it was a love story pa. Akala ko nung una parang indie film pero it was a mainstream movie from a big production outfit—kaya malaki talaga siya. Sumisigaw pa ako sa apartment ko nun kasi hindi talaga ako makapaniwala.”

Dubsmash The Movie would be met with warm reception by his followers in Indonesia. No small feat for a Filipino talent fresh to a foreign market. Teejay shares, “The movie was finished around May but it was shown during Ramadan, around July.

Teejay’s debut movie in Indonesia would be released before the month-long religious observance to capitalize on the big buzz of his media presence in the country. “Luckily naman nung pinalabas siya, maganda naman ‘yung pasok. It lasted for three weeks in the cinemas. Ngayon, ang kumikita ‘yung CDs. Ayun, good naman ‘yung feedback kaya na-offeran ako ng another movie. That’s why I’m here now because I need to study Bahasa.”

In terms of how his Indonesian fanbase sees him, Teejay observes, “Feeling nila I’m just an Indonesian person. Sa nakikita ko gusto nila ako to be funny. Dubsmash makes me look funny. Actors there are a little bit more reserved. In my case, all out, every day or every week nagpo-post ng videos so natutuwa sila. Siguro nagagwapuhan sila sa ‘kin. Kasi sa kanila, kapag gwapo, dapat reserved. ‘Yung tipong action star vibe. Pero ‘yung gusto ng mga fans ‘yung mga gwapo na parang abot-kamay nila na funny type. Kasi nga I look so approachable, I make fun of myself.”

Teejay goes on to share, “For now, I will focus on my career in Indonesia and in learning their language. Need na dapat fluent ako in Bahasa ngayong kinuha na nila ako for another movie.” Teejay admits, “I am not really fluent pero ‘yung kayang makipag-usap. Tinanong ko if sagot nila kapag nag-aral ako dun ng Bahasa. Hindi daw. So, umuwi muna ako. Mas relaxed for me if dito ako mag-aaral para ‘di din ako ma-homesick.”

Much to the delight of his followers, the digital superstar is back home for now. “When I came back here nung July 30, birthday ‘yun ng lola ko. Pero nung bumalik ako, sabi ko ‘kilala pa ba nila ako?’

His short break in Manila has landed him a number of good appearances on TV. “Meron namang tumawag for guesting so sabi ko ‘pwede pa naman.’ So parang dun pumasok ‘yung what-ifs ko.

‘What if tinuloy ko na lang pala dito?’ Kasama ko pa pamilya ko. Hindi ako nahihirapan sa language. Pero may mga nagsasabi din naman sa akin na hindi naman daw mawawala ‘yung Pilipinas. I can always go back. Sayang ‘yung good opportunity sa Indonesia.

It’s like a practice for me. At the end of the day, sino ba naman ‘yung hindi magiging thankful sa opportunity na ‘yun?

As for his fans in the Philippines, Teejay relates, “Pag-uwi ko naman dito, they’ve remained very supportive. Every time na uuwi ako dito, parati kaming merong gatherings so nakikita ko pa din sila. Nung sinabi ko na I’ll stay here for a while kasi mag-aaral ako, natuwa sila.”

He shares his message for them: “I’m always here. I never left. I’m thankful sa support. Hindi pa din sila nawala lalo na ‘yung solid followers ko. I’m just hoping na mas makita pa nila ako. Ayokong mag-promise to them pero nakikita naman nila—if they follow me, they know what I’m up to. Every achievement na nakukuha ko, nakikita nila ‘yan. Kaya I’m just thankful na every step of the way, andyan sila. I love them so much.

While Teejay intends to be in close touch with his Pinoy fans, he also wants “to work with good actors and directors and make more films in Indonesia. Sana hindi sila magsawa sa akin so I can really expand my craft there. Here syempre, sana unti-unti ako mabigyan ng magagandang roles and makuha ako ng management. ‘Yun ang future planvs ko for now.”

Whenever they ask me what kind of actor ako, sinasabi ko gusto ko maging character actor. Ayoko ‘yung pare-pareho. Gusto ko ‘yung pwede mo akong gawing basurero, baliw or kung ano man.

In time, parang gusto ko ma-identify as an actor talaga. So I really want to be an actor.”

These career realizations easily translate as life lessons for Teejay. “Compared to before, siguro I have learned to really let go. Nag-start ako sa teen show kaya there were restrictions—yung bawal ganito, bawal ganyan. Kaya ayun, parang nakalimutan ko to have fun.”Teejay would continue,

Now, I take things as they come. I want this and I will just do my best. I’m having fun; I can talk to whoever I want to talk with. The best thing for me now is I can show who I really am, the real me. Wala na ‘yung kailangan dapat ganito ako. In the end, hindi ako pagod kasi I just showcased who I really am.

And wasn’t this exactly what this pretty boy sought to do in the first place—to just be himself and take life on the way he knows how? It’s positive there can only be bigger things for this guy - wherever he chooses to be.
