Angel Locsin Admits Hurting, Jessy Mendiola Happy with Luis Manzano

FHM Sexiest Woman 2016 Jessy Mendiola, on Thursday, has finally put an end to rumors saying she already replaced Angel Locsin's spot in the heart of Luis Manzano.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Jessy said she sees nothing wrong with hanging out with the TV host.

I am single so I don’t have any problems with that. I really appreciate the fact na he has always been there for me. He’s a very good guy.  It is what it is. What you see is what you get,” she said.

The actress, however, maintained she does not want to label it as a date.

Kasi sometimes we go out as a group. We go out sometimes. Yeah, you could say we go out and we are friends and we are getting close to each other,” she said.

Asked if she thinks Luis is courting her, the 23-year-old actress simply said: “Ewan ko sa kanya.”

But does Luis even stand a chance?

Oo naman. I am not denying anything. Ayaw ko naman maging sobrang pretentious na wala. Meron kasi, ‘di ba? As I’ve said, Luis is a good guy. Any girl would be lucky to have him kaya siguro Lucky ang pangalan niya,” she said.

In a separate interview, Luis' ex-girlfriend Angel Locsin admitted that she has yet to move on from her failed relationship with Luis, "I'm getting there."

Angel added that she will not pretend that everything is okay between her Luis.

"Hindi ako magpapaka-plastik. Lahat naman tayong mga babae ay may prosesong ginagawa. Pero ako naman kasi, I always want him to be happy. So kung happy siya, magiging happy na lang ako para sa kanya." she said.

Reunited with My Growing Up Beauty Weapon - NIVEA Body

Growing up, just like the rest, I had a fair share of traumatic experiences about pimple breakage, rough dark skin. I can still recall my Tita from Abu Dhabi, UAE to send me Nivea products to address my skin concerns since the product can only be purchased from a few stores selling imported goods that time. And the price was so high, mind you.

Me, at present time.

When an invitation came my way last Saturday, June 25, to join this country's most credible lifestyle and beauty bloggers in an event that will give today's generation of active women a fun and creative way to check the firmness of their skin by the world’s no.1 skin care brand - NIVEA, without a blink of an eye, I obliged.

The event dubbed as NIVEA Skin Firmness Check was held at SM Megamall Fashion Hall and was graced by the brand's influencers led by Kapuso sexy star Kim Domingo and Kapamilya host Gretchen Ho who said that you can never be young or old enough to worry about taking good care of your skin. As age kicks in, as early as our 20s, our skin starts to lose its firmness, making today the best time to start caring for our skin, to keep it firmer for longer.

Throughout the day, guests were treated to a fun way of checking the firmness of their skin through a bungee trampoline, outfitted with high-speed cameras to capture how the skin moves as they jump. Using a motion-tracking technology, guests were shown a creative visualization of the skin’s movement to illustrate the firmness of the skin – the less movement, the firmer the skin is.
Jamie Sanico, Senior Brand Manager of NIVEA Body, said: “Our skin starts losing firmness at age 20, and so NIVEA thought of this creative way to engage younger women and help them realize the need to start achieving and maintaining the skin’s best years. By letting our consumers know about the possible factors and habits that may affect their skin, we are giving them the chance to start achieving their skin’s best years.

To further educate women on skin firmness, guests were made to assess their lifestyle through the NIVEA Skin Firmness Habit Check that revealed the habits that influence the skin’s firmness – from lack of sleep, not enough water intake, exposure to UV rays and pollution, smoking and many other factors. Talk about being every woman’s best skin care partner!

It was truly a wonderful event that firmed-up NIVEA’s position as the best skin care in achieving skin’s best years. The NIVEA white and firm range, which includes the NIVEA Extra White Firming Body Serum SPF33 provides not just fairer but firmer and smoother skin too. Extra White Firming Body Serum SPF33, with its light and non-sticky formula, contains 95% pure Vitamin C to provide radiant and fairer skin tone and firming ingredient Q10 that helps firm skin and restore its elasticity. The amazing result? Noticeably more radiant, whiter, smoother and firmer skin in just 14 days.

ROBINSONS SUPERMARKET and How It Helps My Journey to a Healthier Lifestyle

Living a healthy lifestyle is expensive. But being fat can be hurtful.

Staying healthy for me is not just what you see from outside. Beyond superficial. It's what you feel, how you feel  - and this remains to be one of my biggest challenges.

That's why when I heard about ROBINSONS SUPERMARKET Wellness Festival, it didn't occurred to me how hard it could be to brave the Friday night traffic just to join this event. Yes, traffic is hard, but it's harder to face everyday feeling bloated, with dying self-esteem. With my busy lifestyle: full-time job, blog conference left and movie, movie screenings, social events, travel invitations, and relationship duties, there is no time left to go to the gym, jog or even do crunches at home. You don't have an idea how much money I am spending just to stay fit. Let me enumerate:

Low calorie healthy meal plan - annual subscription
Non-invasive procedure - annual session
Massage theraphy session 2x/week
Boxing and gym membership (was able to attend once on both)
Clothing allowance (most part of my budget goes here. From XS to S to now, M!)

People tend to always make you feel bad, look awful. "Ang laki ng tyan mo, grabe! Mag diet ka nga!" "Tumataba ka nga!" If only I could tell them the same. "Ikaw, din. Ang pangit mo na dati pero bakit parang mas pumapangit ka pa lalo?" Better not to argue. What's the point? I am fat, period.

I arrived at Robinsons Magnolia Open Garden area thinking I will have an hour again listening to a series of talks about what to eat and not. What exercise should I put in my schedule. To get rid of things that cause stress, hence, an unhealthy eating habits. Little did I know that I am about to face a whole lot of fun while learning, achieving the body that I want without hurting my budget.

The exciting wellness activity started immediately after I entered the venue. A Festival Wellness Card showing the different activities lined-up for the night was handed to me.

The goal is to try some, if not all, of the activities featured in different booths situated within the area. For each successful attempt, you will get a mark and a bag of goodies from their lifestyle partners such as Abbott, Johnson's, Promil, Nestle, P&G, Univeler, and Magnolia, . If you complete all the tasks, you will get an access to enjoy an unlimited treat from the biggest walk-in salad bar. Healthy cocktail drinks and foods are also being served elsewhere in the area.

Wow, this big walk-in salad bar. I can live in this place forever!

I was able to try the Hand Grip Strength Test, the result? Weak.

This is fun. I tried it 4 times. I didn't imagine that picking those fruits can be that hard.

(Video) GAME OF THRONES Season 6 Finale Recap

“The Winds of Winter” capped off the sixth season of our favorite series with new deaths, new alliances, new king and queen, new threats and new hope.

The dismal yet chilling sound of the bell rang across the whole King’s Landing as everyone prepared for the trial of Loras Tyrell and Cersei Lannister. The Sept oF Baelor was packed with people, including the faith militants, Kevan Lannister, Queen Margaery Tyrell and his father Mace.

Loras’ trial never happened though because he pleaded guilty of the crimes he committed. To fully atone for his sins, he unburdened himself of his worldly desires and promised to devote his life to the Faith. Brother Lancel traced his blade on Loras’s forehead to mark him as the defender of the Seven Gods.

King Tommen was supposed to attend the trial, but The Mountain prevented him to go, as ordered by Cersei who intended to stay at the Red Keep and wait for her plans to materialize. Queen Margaery, meanwhile, realized that Cersei isn’t coming for her trial. The High Sparrow got worried too and sent the militants to get the Queen.

A young girl, one of the “littlebirds”, led Pycelle into Qyburn’s laboratory. Qyburn said his apology and farewell message to Pycelle before a group of children pounced on the old maester and dug their knives to his flesh.

Another littlebird shrewdly led Lancel into the crypt beneath the Sept of Baelor. Lancel found himself in a dark alley when he was stabbed by the little boy he was chasing. He noticed wooden barrels around him and at the end of the alley, he saw the burning candles atop small puddles of wildfire. All this time, Cersei was staring out from the balcony at the Red Keep, her eyes fixed at the Sept located just meters away.

Queen Margaery argued with the High Sparrow that Cersei didn’t really intend to show up and face the consequences of her trial. She sensed that something bad will happen. She tried to get everybody out the Sept but she was barred by the militants.

Lancel knew what the wildfire is for so he dragged himself but didn’t make it in time to extinguish the candles. The small flame sparked the massive explosion as the wildfire crept from the underground room and up the Sept, detonating the whole place and expunging all the people inside.

Cersei watched as thick plumes of smoke rose high into the air. Her major enemies were already gone but she wasn’t done yet. The next subject of her revenge was Septa Unella, who was secured on a table in one room. Cersei poured wine onto her face and made her confess, mimicking what the holy woman did to her wheh she was jailed before. She turned over Unella to the Mountain who began inflicting torment upon the woman.

King Tommen could still see the remnants of the explosion from afar and was informed about the casualties. When he could no longer handle the agony the event caused, he took off his crown and jumped off the window to his death. Cersei knew after all that her children will die based on a prophesy so she just asked Qyburn to burn her son’s remains.

Samwell and Gilly finally reached the Oldtown and headed straight to the Citadel. Sam was given access to the library as the future maester of the Castle Black. He walked into the chamber where thousands of books were shelved and all he could do was to look around in an open-mouthed wonder.

The Freys celebrated the retaking of the Riverrun and their stronger alliance with the Lannisters. Jaime Lannister and Bronn were present to join the party at the Twins. Jaime later mocked Walder Frey and questioned the need for the alliance when the Freys couldn’t competitively protect the Riverlands.

At the Winterfell, Davos interrupted Jon Snow and Melisandre’s small talk to confront the red priestess about the death of Shireen, Stannis Baratheon’s daughter, who Davos treated as his best friend and his own child. Melisandre admitted the girl was burned at the stake. Davos asked Jon to execute her but Jon instead sent her into exile in the south.

Jon, meanwhile, recognized they won the battle against the Boltons through Sansa but doubted her trust to Lord Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish. Sansa apologized that she didn’t tell about the knights of the Vale. Jon reminded her that they have made a lot of enemies so they need to trust each other now.

The Queen of Thorns Olenna Tyrell, amidst mourning the loss of her family, was invited to Dorne by Ellaria Sand who proposed about the Martell-Tyrell alliance against the Lannisters. Varys came out to seal the deal, offering what Olenna truly needs—“Fire and Blood” (the family “words” of House Targaryen).

Queen Daenerys wanted her lover Daario Naharis to stay in Meereen with the Second Sons to keep the peace in the city despite his insistence to go with her in the Westeros.  She felt badly about her decision and Tyrion Lannister tried to console him. “The Imp” later affirmed his passionate loyalty to Daenerys and was made the Hand of the Queen.

Back to the Twins, Walder Frey was served his meal by a young cup-bearer. He was asking about his two sons who were supposed to see him earlier in the day. The girl said they are in the pie she just fed him. She unmasked her face to reveal her true identity: Arya Stark. Arya said her parting words before slitting Walder’s throat, just like the same way her mother Catelyn was killed.

Littlefinger shared to Sansa how he pictured himself sitting in the Iron Throne, with Sansa by his side. He dived in for a kiss, but Sansa pulled away. As she walked out on him, he threw her a question: Who should the North rally behind? The true-born daughter of Ned and Catelyn Stark or a motherless bastard born in the south?

The reanimated Benjen Stark parted with Meera and Bran as he dropped them off at a weirwood tree. He said he can’t pass beyond the Wall as he is already dead. But he will be around preparing for the coming war (with the Whitewalkers) to fight for the living. Bran traveled  to the past again and joined his father Ned inside the Tower of Joy. Her aunt Lyanna was there, dying in her bed. She whispered something to Ned, her last wishes, and a crying baby was brought to him. The baby’s face was shown and the shot cut to face of Jon Snow; the scene hinted the story about Jon’s parentage.

Jon and Sansa presided over a meeting at the hall in Winterfell. Some Stark bannermen were concerned about the presence of the wildlings, but Jon defended them as friends in the battlefield. Most of the men also wanted to go home to prepare for the coming winter. But the war is not yet over, as Jon said, and the true enemy brings the storm.

Lady Lyanna Mormont jumped down on the skeptics’ throat and reminded Wyman Manderly, Robett Glover and Cley Cerwyn when they refused to help House Stark in the most desperate times. But the North remembers, she said, and she knows no other king than the Stark king, bastard or not. The allied rulers came to their senses and one by one affirmed anew their fealty to Jon, the new King in the North.

At the Great Hall, Cersei was proclaimed the new Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, while her brother-lover Jaime displeasedly watched from the gallery. “Long may she reign,” Qyburn declared. But perhaps not so long, as the Targaryen fleet, with Drogon in tow, finally set off on their voyage to the Westeros.

Tarzan Like You've Never Seen Him Before in THE LEGEND OF TARZAN Movie

First appearing in the 1912 story Tarzan of the Apes, Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Tarzan has remained one of the most enduring characters of 20th-century popular culture. The legendary “lord of the apes” has inspired films, TV serials, radio plays, stage productions, comics and video games.

But what the filmmakers of the upcoming action adventure “The Legend of Tarzan” found in the new script by Adam Cozad and Craig Brewer was a fresh and entirely new take on the legend. “It has great characters, romance, humor and fabulous action,” says David Barron, who is producing the film (with Jerry Weintraub, as well as Alan Riche and Tony Ludwig). “It’s a large-scope, audience-friendly film, but with a thinking mind and a beating heart.”

It’s not Tarzan as you know it,” director David Yates adds. “It’s not a bloke in a loincloth. It’s a big, epic theatrical experience that’s grounded in how we see the world now – in how we connect with each other and the animals we share the planet with.”

The film isn’t telling an origin story – it’s set years after Tarzan has left the jungles of Africa behind. But, the director says, we will see glimpses of Tarzan’s life growing up in the wild, with his nurturing ape mother, Kala, and the violent alpha male of the group, Kerchak, who never accepts the human child in their midst. “We see in flashbacks how Jane, as a young girl, goes through the jungle tracking the mysterious ghost of Tarzan,” the director explains. “She’s the one who teases him out of the jungle and rescues him from this fairly brutal life. She saved him, and over the course of our movie, he has to save her – because he can’t really survive without her.

From Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures comes the action adventure “The Legend of Tarzan,” starring Alexander Skarsgård (HBO’s “True Blood”) as the legendary character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

The film also stars Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson (the “Captain America” films), Margot Robbie (“The Wolf of Wall Street,” upcoming “Suicide Squad”), Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou (“Gladiator”), with Oscar winner Jim Broadbent (“Iris”), and two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz (“Django Unchained”).

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.

David Yates (the final four “Harry Potter” films, upcoming “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”) directed “The Legend of Tarzan” from a screenplay by Adam Cozad and Craig Brewer, story by Brewer and Cozad based on the Tarzan stories created by Burroughs.

Slated for release across the Philippines on Thursday, June 30, “The Legend of Tarzan” is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
