Who's Your Daddy? Richard Yap or Ian Veneracion

"The Achy Breaky Hearts" actors Ian Veneracion and Richard Yap talk about their friendship, upcoming movie - and more!

I can't quit you," says Ian Veneracion, 41, to his co-star Richard Yap, 49, making the shoot crew laugh. It wasn't just the well-timed Brokeback Mountain reference that sent everyone giggling (the two men were in the middle of a looking-at-each-other's-eyes-deeply layout). It was how everyone's-favorite-DILF got the cowboy twang down pat. Ian is the playful yang to Richard's serious yin; the showbiz veteran — with 35 years under his belt — trying to make his nervous newbie friend loosen up (Richard broke into the scene only in 2011). See, despite headlining one of the most successful daytime shows in recent memory (Be Careful With My Heart) and being part of blockbuster movies (Just The 3 Of Us, for example), Richard, the former division manager for an interior design firm, is still visibly uncomfortable in front of the camera. But more on that later.

Today's Supreme shoot is happening at a familiar deserted hallway in ABS-CBN where we have shot many a cover, guerilla-style. The two men are dressed in matching clothes: black V-neck shirts and blue jeans that subtly reveal their non-Dad bod bodies. Yup, Ian and Richard could still give men half their age a run for their money — which is probably one of the reasons why they are headlining Star Cinema's next blockbuster, Achy Breaky Hearts, which opens on June 29.

Matteo Guidicelli Speaks on Sarah Geronimo's Pregnancy

Matteo Guidicelli finally speaks in relation to the alleged pregnancy of her girlfriend Sarah Geronimo.

Rumor about Sarah's pregnancy surfaced after she announced that she will take some time off from showbiz to rest and study abroad. As we all know in showbiz, stars who opted to suddenly interrupt their booming career to enjoy sometime out of the limelight, mostly to travel long period of time abroad, returns home carrying a "little bunch of joy".

Matteo, in an interview with ABS-CBN News vehemently denied Sarah is in expecting stage. The "Dolce Amore" actor said: "Nakarating nga sa kin ‘yung balita and buntis daw siya. That’s not true at all.
"She was just feeling really bad the past few weeks like fever or something pero nothing serious. She just needs to rest." he added.

Switch to WATSONS Products, Save on Money and Splurge on Things that Matter #SwitchTest #SwitchAndSave

In shopping, it’s a tried and tested belief that quality is directly proportional to the price of a product. So if you are looking for a high-quality perfume, for example, you should be ready to shed some bucks from your budget. That’s the way it is, the higher the quality the greater the price.

Last June 14, 2016, at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, this economic norm about “quality” and “price” has been challenged by WATSONS, the leading personal care store in the country. With the help of its two brand ambassadors – Christian Bautista and Tessa Prieto-Valdes – members of the media took an exciting “SWITCH TEST.”

Before the program began, bloggers and members of the press were presented with several items like a pair of body scrub, a pair of tissue, and a pair of toothbrush. Christian and Tessa asked for volunteers to take the “Switch Test” on stage. They were asked to choose from products A and products B where one is the leading brand and one is WATSONS.

Christian and Tessa asked a volunteer to try a pair of body scrub by taking a sample from each anonymous brands and test its smell, how it feels when scrubbed to the skin.

Christian also asked one volunteer to examine a pair of toothbrush and a pair of tissue paper without knowing which one is the Watsons brand and which is the leading brand.

Other items that were tested during the event are lotion and hair irons.

The objective of the brand test is simple: to convince the skeptics that WATSONS products could be as good as the leading brand. And why are there customers who have doubts, you may ask?

It’s because WATSONS products are so affordable that some of the items cost up to 80 percent lower than the leading brand."

And this contradicts the marketplace belief that the quality of a product is directly proportional to its price.

After a series of tests, the results were revealed. Less than 20% from all the participants chose the leading brand over WATSONS products. It’s unanimous! Most of the attendees picked the items they thought have superior quality than the other based from their own examination. Needless to say, the brand they unknowingly chose is WATSONS.

For several years now WATSONS has been running its SWITCH & SAVE campaign with its brand ambassadors like Iya Villania, Christian Bautista, Tessa Prieto Valdez, and Patty Laurel, showing customers that if they switch from the leading brand to Watsons brand they can get excellent quality personal care products at up to 80% less.

Join the 8 out of 10 smart shoppers who switched to WATSONS label and saved up to 80 percent on their budget? Why not try it yourself.

Here are some examples on how you can get that much-needed savings by choosing more affordable WATSONS products without sacrificing quality:

Rescue 5, the premiere public service team of TV5, has partnered with various government agencies to strengthen its Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) initiatives.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Department of Education (DepEd) have reviewed and given Rescue 5’s activity book on disaster preparedness their seals of approval.

and Rescue 5 Host Renz Ongkiko

The team pioneered a fun, innovative and sustainable way of educating children how to protect themselves during floods, fires, earthquakes and storm surges by developing the Rescue 5 activity book.

Although they are the most vulnerable during disasters, we believe children can be empowered and engaged to ensure their safety. By coloring and answering the activity book, kids are motivated to learn about disaster preparedness,” TV5 Public Service Sherryl Yao said.

The activity book which is written in different mother tongues such as Tagalog, Sinugbuanong Binisaya and Waray contains various interactive contents such as pictures to color, puzzles and mazes that make learning about disaster preparedness easy to understand and remember, and more enjoyable. It has also bagged several recognitions from the Philippine Quill Awards and Anvil Awards.

7 Celebrity Breakups Caused by Third Party

Source: ABS-CBNNews

A breakup in itself is difficult to deal with but the situation becomes much more complicated when the people involved are celebrities.

When celebrity couples call it quits, speculations abound as to the reason behind the split.

Here are some celebrity couples whose relationships were plagued by third party rumors.

Sunshine Dizon and Timothy Tan

Last Friday, Sunshine Dizon took to Instagram to post photos of a woman who she claimed is the mistress of her husband, Timothy Tan. Days after her posts, her husband came out with a statement confirming that they have been having marital problems. While Timothy said both have already agreed to file for an annulment, Sunshine countered this on Monday, saying she will not give what her husband wants.

Ciara Sotto and Jojo Oconer

Last January, Ciara Sotto confirmed rumors that she had left her husband, Jojo Oconer. Ciara decided to go back to the house of her parents, Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa, saying it has become difficult for her and her son to live in their home. Although she did not say the exact reason of their marital problem, the actress hinted at instances of cheating.

Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson

During her September 27, 2015 interview on “Gandang Gabi Vice,” Kim Chiu admitted that she knows first-hand how it feels to be cheated on. While refusing to identify her former boyfriend, host Vice Ganda asked her directly if she was pertaining to Gerald Anderson. The actress replied: “Nananahimik na siya ngayon.” However, she also told Vice Ganda that she only had one past relationship.

Dawn Zulueta and Richard Gomez

During their appearance on "Gandang Gabi Vice" while promoting their movie “The Love Affair,” former couple Dawn Zulueta and Richard Gomez gamely answered questions about their break-up. Host Vice Ganda asked Dawn and Richards why they broke up, to which the actor admitted that he was involved with another women while he was in a relationship with Dawn. She also admitted that she knew who the other women were, prompting her to break up with Richard.

Sunshine Cruz and Cesar Montano

Sunshine Cruz made headlines in January 2013 after the actress confronted starlet Krista Miller, whose posts on Instagram showed items allegedly given to her by Cruz’s husband, Cesar Montano. The issue caused the celebrity couple’s separation after being married for 13 years. Sunshine and Cesar have three daughters.

Heart Evangelista and Jericho Rosales

In an sit-down interview with Yes magazine for its May 2013 issue, Heart Evangelista revealed the true reason why she and Jericho Rosales, whom she considered her “greatest love,” broke up in 2008. Heart said her parents made her believe that Jericho cheated on her with Malaysian actress Carmen Soo. At that time, Heart just reconciled with her parents after not talking to them for three years because she fought for her relationship with Jericho. Heart said her parents did not approve of the Kapamilya actor because he already had a child from a previous relationship. Jericho was then in Malaysia with Soo for the ABS-CBN series “Kahit Isang Saglit,” while Heart was in Dubai for her own show in GMA-7.

Dina Bonnevie and Vic Sotto

Dina Bonnevie and Vic Sotto tied the knot in 1982 and parted ways after four years of being together although their marriage was only annulled in 1992. Quoting Dina during the premiere of her digitally restored movie “Hindi Nahahati Ang Langit,” entertainment site Push reported that the real reason behind failure of the celebrity couple’s marriage was a third party.
