Fearless Forecast: Timothy Bradley to Bring Down Manny Pacquiao in April 10 Fight

Will new and controversial trainer, Teddy Atlas, bring boxer Bradley victory against Pacquiao?

Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley is once again on a quest to cement his place in boxing history, this time under a new trainer, the returning and controversial Teddy Atlas.

His fight against the People's Champ Manny Pacquiao, which airs on SKYcable pay-per-view on April 10 (Sunday), is the rubber match to watch.

Atlas is known as the tough-talking motivator who will not hold anything back to bring his wards to the edge. Legend has it that he drove Michael Moorer to the world heavyweight title in 1994 against Evander Holyfield by employing his brand of impassioned tactics.

While many observers say this approach is nothing but drama to call attention to himself, it has nonetheless brought Bradley a newfound optimism with the duo's first fight ending in a TKO against Brandon Rios.

With a number of titles to his name–WBO welterweight world champion, WBC super lightweight world champion and former WBO junior welterweight world champion—Bradley is an elite fighter who has dueled with world champions such as Juan Manuel Marquez and in hotly debated matches, Manny Pacquiao.

The Toprank website cites in his bio that "Bradley brought in Atlas to sharpen his skills and stop him from getting hit too much."

Watch if the new partnership will once again work and earn him a redemption. (Movie Poster) 10 Cloverfield Lane - John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher, Jr.

Paramount Pictures has just revealed the stunning, international payoff poster of producer J.J. Abrams' "10 Cloverfield Lane."

Described as a "blood relative" to the 2007 smash hit "Cloverfield," the new film stars John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher, Jr. The official synopsis only reads, "Monsters come in many forms."

Dan Trachtenberg directs "10 Cloverfield Lane" from a screenplay by Josh Campbell and Matt Stuecken. Describing the film to Empire Magazine, Trachtenberg says, "It's a mystery/suspense thriller. If we were in the time of Alfred Hitchcock, he would be calling this 'a suspense picture'. It very much harkens back to that kind of movie. For me it's fun, it's funny, and it's visceral and exciting and thrilling. It's all of those things."

Opening across the Philippines on April 06, "10 Cloverfield Lane" is distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.

Lupita Nyong is Raksha the Mother Wolf in 'The Jungle Book'

Raksha, a loving and fiercely protective mother wolf, cares deeply for all of her pups—including man-cub Mowgli (Neel Sethi), whom she adopts as one of her own when he's abandoned in the jungle as an infant.

Oscar® winner Lupita Nyong'o ("Star Wars: The Force Awakens") was called on to help bring Raksha to life, in Disney's new family adventure "The Jungle Book," based on Rudyard Kipling's timeless stories and inspired by Disney's classic animated film.

"We relied a little more on Kipling when it came to Raksha," says director Jon Favreau. "The wolves have a much greater significance in his stories, which was important to me."

"I just love my character," says Nyong'o. "She is the protector, the eternal mother. The word Raksha actually means protection in Hindi. I felt really connected to that, wanting to protect a son that isn't originally hers but one she's taken for her own.

"I really enjoyed preparing for this and learning about wolves and how social they are, how they stick together," continues Nyong'o. "There's such an order - a hierarchy - to a wolf pack. Mowgli tries to fit in with the other wolf pups. He has his challenges, but he is very much a part of the pack as far as Raksha is concerned."

Producer Brigham Taylor credits the actress with channeling her inner wolf. "Lupita just nailed the emotion of this character, which wasn't really fleshed out in the animated version," he says. "She intuitively captured that bond between an adoptive mother and her son."

Adds Favreau, "She's elegant and refined, but it's more than that. She has an accessibility about her that was what we really wanted for Raksha. She feels like a mom, but she clearly comes from somewhere different than where Mowgli does."

Nyong'o says she was familiar with the story when filmmakers approached her. "I grew up watching the Disney version and loved it so much," she says. "As a little girl, my favorite character was Baloo. The magic of Mowgli's story is that every child can identify with that feeling that you are the only one of your kind. I really identified with that idea. And going on an adventure with no adults is the ultimate childhood fantasy. I loved that this kid got to realize himself through this amazing adventure. It's a wonderful coming-of-age story."

"The Jungle Book" is an all-new, live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (Neel Sethi), a man-cub raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he's ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (Bill Murray). Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don't exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa (Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire.

The wild adventure swings into Philippine theaters in 3D on Thursday, April 07. "The Jungle Book" is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures through Columbia Pictures. 'Batman v Superman' Earns P86.65 on Opening Day in the Philippines

Warner Bros. Pictures' action adventure "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" took the Philippine box office by storm on its opening day yesterday, earning P86.65-million across 598 screens and setting new box-office records, with no signs of slowing down.

Opening virtually day-and-date across the globe, director Zack Snyder's highly anticipated follow-up to "Man of Steel" brings Batman and Superman together on the big screen for the first time in history, and is the very first feature film appearance of Wonder Woman, the third Super Hero in DC Comics' iconic Trinity.

In the Philippines, the film has broken a number of industry records, namely:
  • Biggest Single Day Gross in cinema history, surpassing last year's "Avengers: Age of Ultron's" P83.2-M (Sunday Gross);
  • Biggest Opening Day All-Time Industry-Wide, ahead of "Avengers: Age of Ultron's" P72.7-M (Wed opening);
  • Biggest Saturday Gross All-Time Industry-Wide, eclipsing "Avengers: Age of Ultron's" PhP81.9-M;
  • Biggest WB Opening Day All-Time, beating "Man of Steel's" PhP69-M (Wed - holiday opening) and
  • Biggest Superhero Opening Day, surpassing "Avengers: Age of Ultron's" P72-M.
The announcement was made by Francis Soliven, General Manager of Warner Bros. Pictures Philippines.

Soliven said, "Anticipation for `Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' has been building across the country and these incredible results are a testament to not only the enduring appeal of these global icons but the power of the epic cinematic showdown Zack Snyder and his brilliant cast and crew have delivered. We couldn't be more thrilled with the film's incredible debut and strong word-of-mouth and repeat business promises to propel its success well into the season."

From director Zack Snyder comes "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," starring Oscar winner Ben Affleck ("Argo") as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill ("Man of Steel") as Superman/Clark Kent in the characters' first big-screen pairing.

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with each other, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it has ever known before.

Directed by Zack Snyder, the film also stars Oscar nominees Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White; Oscar winners Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter as Senator Finch; and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince.

Snyder directed from a screenplay written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, based on characters from DC Comics, including Batman, created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, and Superman, created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The film is produced by Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder, with Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and David S. Goyer serving as executive producers.

Snyder's behind-the-scenes creative team includes director of photography Larry Fong ("300," "Watchmen") and production designer Patrick Tatopoulos ("300: Rise of an Empire"), and from his "Man of Steel" team, editor David Brenner, costume designer Michael Wilkinson, visual effects supervisor John DJ DesJardin, and Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer ("The Lion King") working in conjunction with composer Junkie XL ("Mad Max: Fury Road").

Warner Bros. Pictures presents, an Atlas Entertainment/Cruel and Unusual production, a Zack Snyder film, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." The film can be seen in IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 3D and 2D, and is being distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
