Nora Aunor to Manny Pacquiao: 'Mas masama ang sugarol at babaero.'

Superstar Nora Aunor, when asked for reaction, took a swipe at Manny Pacquiao for  comparing people in a same-sex relationship to animals, saying that being a gambler and a womanizer is far worse than being gay.

At saka huwag niyang sasabihing hayop kasi mga tao iyon eh," the 62 year-old veteran actress said.

Pacquiao has had a history with gambling and womanizing, but has since proclaimed himself a reformed man after embracing religion.

Asked for his advice for Pacquiao, the Superstar said: "Nasa gobyerno siya, hindi ba?

The veteran actress also said she will support the legalization of same-sex marriage, which is still not allowed in the predominantly Catholic Philippines.

Nike, Nestle and Wonderful Pistachios Fire Manny Pacquiao

Haters gonna be hate....and it doesn't pay good. Never, ever.

Nike, on Thursday, announced that they are terminating its endorsement contract with senatorial candidate and Saranggani congressman Manny Pacquiao after he made derogatory remarks about LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) people.

In a statement, Nike said:

We find Manny Pacquiao’s comments abhorrent. Nike strongly opposes discrimination of any kind and has a long history of supporting and standing up for the rights of the LGBT community. We no longer have a relationship with Manny Pacquiao,”

Nike claims to be a supporter of the LGBT Sports Coalition and its initiatives to end discrimination in sport. The company helped found the LGBT Sports Coalition in 2011, and continues to support the coalition through the #BETRUE collection.

In his response to Nike's decision, Pacquiao said:

Now, reports have it that other brands like Nestle and Wonderful Pistachios are also terminating their tie with the boxing champ.

Wonderful Company spokesman Steven Clark was quoted saying:

Wonderful Pistachios is not currently affiliated with Manny Pacquiao nor do his views align with ours. Wonderful Pistachios stands firmly for diversity and equality, and we proudly support marriage equality and inclusion around the world.”

Pinay Animator Josie Trinidad is the Brain Behind Disney Film 'Zootopia'

Another Filipino artist rises atop the global animation stage with the release of Disney's new animated feature, "Zootopia" whose Co-Head of Story is Filipino-American Josie Trinidad. She oversees the story team, which is responsible for translating the script to its first visual form.

Trinidad joined Disney Animation Studios in 2004 as a story apprentice. Once she completed training, she was hired as a story artist. Her Disney credits include 2009's feature film "The Princess and the Frog," the 2010 adventure "Tangled," the arcade-game-hopping "Wreck-It Ralph," and shorts "How to Hook Up Your Home Theater" and "The Ballad of Nessie."

Before she joined the Disney team, she worked as an illustrator for toy company MGA Entertainment, as well as Klasky Csupo on animated commercials.

She was inspired to pursue animation as a career at age 8 while watching "Robin Hood" on VHS. "We accidentally paused the movie and it continued to play in slow motion," says Trinidad. "I saw each frame change and move. It was stunning how beautiful each drawing was. I realized someone actually had to draw each frame of animation, and I knew I wanted to do that."

Trinidad attended UCLA, majoring in English literature and fine art, and studied character animation at CalArts.

The Filipino-American animator shares a special connection with Judy Hopps, the protagonist bunny in "Zootopia." In a particular scene, Judy has just moved to the big city and beginning to regret her choice. "This is the exact same thing I went through when I moved to New York," she explains. Although the scene changed a little bit from inception to final, the piece is still near and dear to Josie's heart."

"We set out to make a funny animal movie," says director Byron Howard. "But the more digging we did, we saw an opportunity to talk about something important—while still having great fun with the world, the characters and the story."

According Trinidad, filmmakers first looked at prey versus predator and how that would affect a community like Zootopia. "Then we leaned into animal stereotypes—elephants never forget, foxes are sly, rabbits are timid—everyone has a stereotype they're fighting against. That's something everyone in the audience can appreciate."

Disney's "Zootopia" is a place where no matter what you are—from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew—you can be anything. But when rookie officer Judy Hopps arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn't so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with Nick Wilde—a fast-talking, scam-artist fox—to solve a mystery.

Opening across the Philippines on February 17, "Zootopia" is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International through Columbia Pictures.

After Alma Moreno, Karen Davila Puts Manny Pacquiao in Hall of Shame

On her DZMM radio program 'Pasada Sais Trenta' on Wednesday, Karen Davila unleashed, once again, the sensibility and braveness in her way of pulling out the best (and worst) out of her guest when she talked with the most controversial politician of this time - Saranggani congressman Manny Pacquiao.

So ano ang totoo?"

Manny Pacquiao: "Iyon ang opinyon ko. Hindi ako nagko-condemn ng LGBT. Ang sinasabi ko lang, 'yong mga ginagawa nilang karumal-dumal in the eyes of God. May mga pamangkin ako na bakla."

Davila: "Naiintindihan kita, lagi mong kino-quote ang Bibliya. Pero narinig mo na ba ang kasabihan na separation of Church and State?"

Pacquiao: "It is impossible for a nation to become successful or to be blessed without the guidance of the Lord. It's impossible to have peace and unity without God."

[...] I will support the bill.

Naiintindihan mo ba 'yon?"

Pacquiao: "If we're talking about marriage, that's sacred. Napaka-importante ang marriage sa mata ng Panginoon. So for me, ha, if you're doing that, you're insulting God. But I'm not condemning them because they are LGBT.

Pacquiao: "Ang pag-adopt, walang problema.

Since you are quoting from the Bible, are you saying lahat ng LGBT will go to hell? Kasi you are quoting Leviticus, nabasa ko 'yan. Napaka-harsh ng Leviticus, Manny, ha."

Pacquiao: "Hindi ko sinasabi na lahat ng LGBT will go to hell.

Davila: "Should you be a senator or should you just be a pastor? Nababagay ka ba sa Senado when we are in the 21st Century?"

Because if you are godly leaders, you have the fear of the Lord not to steal money."

Pacquiao: "We have to respect our Constitution. Presumption of innocence until proven guilty. Kung siya ay guilty, kailangan siya parusahan."

Davila: "Sa mga nakikinig ngayon, marami sigurong nag-iisip na you're being very judgmental. Papel mo ba to be the one to judge? Is that your role?"

But I'm telling the truth. Sinusunod ko lang nakalagay sa Bible. I must obey the Word of God."

(Video) Beast Mode Boy Abunda Slams Manny Pacquiao

An angry Boy Abunda slams senatorial candidate and Saranggani congressman Manny Pacquiao, who denounced people in a same-sex marriage as "masahol pa sa hayop," saying the latter crossed the line.

"Kung ang tao ay nanakit, nangyuyurak ng karapatan ng tao, eh gugustuhin ko na po maging hayop," Abunda said in the Tuesday episode of his late night talk show. "Kung ang ibig sabihin po ng hayop ay gumagalang, nagmamahal, then I am an animal."

"I am not begging Manny Pacquiao for dignity. I am not begging you for respect. I am not begging you for my humanity because you do not own my humanity. Akin iyon. That's my birthright."

"Tatakbo ka bilang senador?" Abunda asked.
