Kiray Celis Cries Foul Over Derek Ramsay's Kiss: 'Dapat smack lang. Kinain na niya ‘yung labi ko.'

Kiray Celis Cries Foul Over Derek Ramsay's Kiss: 'Dapat smack lang. Kinain na niya ‘yung labi ko.'

It look like not all girls are into Derek Ramsay. Despite the hunk actor's overwhelming hotness that makes her girl (and girl alike) fans swoon, the case is different with young comedy actress Kiray Celis.

Derek and Kiray are paired together in Regal Films' latest offering entitled "Love is Blind" where they are required to shoot a kissing scene that is supposed to be just a smack. But an uncontrollable thing happened that put Kiray in a state of shock.

’Yung first kissing scene ko po sa buong buhay ko, yung sa MMK pa, kami ni Arjo (Atayde), hindi gumagalaw ang bibig. As in, naka-steady lang po,” Kiray narrated during the movie's presscon held early last week.

Sabi ko, ‘ay okay to. Nung na-try ko si Kuya Derek, ano po pala, gumagalaw ‘yung mouth niya. Kasi akala ko po, smack lang. Kinakain niya po ‘yung labi ko,” she added.

When asked if she felt that Derek took advantage of the situation?

Ganu’n siya,” Kiray further said.

Showing on February 10, Love is Blind also stars Solenn Heussaff and Kean Cipriano. Written and directed by Jason Paul Laxamana.

Meet the Inhabitants of 'Zootopia'

Walt Disney Animation Studios' 55th animated film “Zootopia” features a large and diverse range of characters – “One of our biggest casts ever for a Disney Animation film,” says director Byron Howard.

Director Rich Moore agrees saying, “Everyone in this incredible cast is bringing something special, something unexpected to their characters, which really takes our story to a whole new level.”

In the film, officer Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin), the very first bunny on Zootopia’s police force, jumps at the opportunity to crack her first case - even if it means partnering with fast-talking, scam-artist fox Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman) to solve the mystery.

Joining Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde is an assembly of unique characters that will surely become future fan favorites.

Chief Bogo (Idris Elba), a cape buffalo and the stern (yet goofy) head of the Zootopia Police Department. He is reluctant to add Judy Hopps to his squad of hardened rhinos, elephants and hippos.
Mrs. Otterton (Octavia Spencer), a desperate otter who turns to Officer Judy Hopps for help in solving her husband’s mysterious disappearance.

Leodore Lionheart (J.K. Simmons), a lion and the noble mayor of Zootopia who coined the city’s mantra that Judy Hopps lives by: “In Zootopia, anyone can be anything.”

Assistant Mayor Bellwether (Jenny Slate), a sweet sheep with a little voice and a lot of wool, who constantly finds herself under the foot of the larger-than-life Mayor Lionheart.

Duke Weaselton (Alan Tudyk), a small-time weasel crook with a big-time weasel mouth, who tries to give Judy the slip during a police chase.

Yax the Yak (Tommy Chong), the most enlightened, laid-back bovine in Zootopia. When Judy Hopps is on a case, Yax is full of revealing insights.

Benjamin Clawhauser (Nate Torrence), Zootopia Police Department’s most charming cheetah who loves two things: pop star Gazelle (Shakira) and donuts. From his reception desk, he greets everyone with a warm smile and a helpful paw - covered in sprinkles.

Flash (Raymond Persi), the fastest sloth who works at the DMV (that’s Department of Mammal Vehicles).

Bonnie Hopps (Bonnie Hunt), Judy’s mom, and Stu (Don Lake), Judy’s carrot farmer dad. They are worried about Judy moving to Zootopia and the untrustworthy big-city mammals who live there—especially foxes!

Finnick (Tommy Lister), a fennec fox with a big chip on his adorable shoulder.

Opening across the Philippines on February 17, 2016, “Zootopia” is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International through Columbia Pictures. Michael Bay Transforms '13 Hours' into an Epic Action-Adventure Movie

Michael Bay Transforms '13 Hours' into an Epic Action-Adventure Movie

From “Armageddon” to “Pearl Harbor” to the “Transformers” franchise, director Michael Bay has spent his 20-year career giving human stories the epic, action-adventure treatment. Together, his 11 films have grossed a staggering $5 billion-plus, making him the fourth-most-successful director of all time.

Now, Michael Bay brings audiences Paramount Pictures' "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi," the gripping true story of six elite ex-military operators assigned to protect the CIA who fought back against overwhelming odds when terrorists attacked a U.S. diplomatic compound on September 11, 2012. When everything went wrong, six men had the courage to do what was right.

Watch a featurette on Michael Bay below:

The film is written by Chuck Hogan, based on the book 13 Hours by Mitchell Zuckoff and Members of the Annex Security Team, and stars James Badge Dale, John Krasinski, Max Martini, Pablo Schreiber, Toby Stephens, David Denman and Dominic Fumusa.

The real-life soldiers were happy with the choice of Bay to direct “13 Hours.” "I thought `Armageddon' was awesome," says Kris "Tanto" Paronto, a former Army Ranger. Adds former Marine Mark "Oz" Geist, "Some people are like, 'Oh, Michael Bay, he does all the explosions.' Well, the real event had plenty of explosions. So it's not like he had to come up with any."

Bay says the main point of the movie is to honor the heroism of the soldiers. “There was a great human story, that got buried. And that's the story I'm telling: the guys who were on the ground. The men and women that were stuck in the CIA annex, and how they fought for 13 hours to get out of there alive. We worked very hard to get the facts right from the research of the book that (author Zuckoff) did to the amazing access I have from working 20 years with the military, from the boots on the ground, the people who were in country to the CIA at a high level meeting to get just the facts right, the recently released emails. We just had to get it right.

“13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” opens across the Philippines on January 27, 2016 and is distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.

A Different Kind of Valentine's Love Story Tackles in 'How To Be Single'

A Different Kind of Valentine's Love Story Tackles in 'How To Be Single'

Perfectly timed for Valentine’s Day, Warner Bros. Pictures' new romantic comedy “How to Be Single” follows a handful of interconnected characters navigating the ever-shifting set of codes, customs, rituals, apps and emojis of the contemporary single life in New York City.

In the film, there’s a right way to be single, a wrong way to be single, and then…there’s Alice. And Robin. Lucy. Meg. Tom. David. New York City is full of lonely hearts seeking the right match, be it a love connection, a hook-up, or something in the middle. And somewhere between the teasing texts and one-night stands, what these unmarrieds all have in common is the need to learn how to be single in a world filled with ever-evolving definitions of love. Sleeping around in the city that never sleeps was never so much fun.

“How to Be Single” stars Dakota Johnson (“Fifty Shades of Grey”), Rebel Wilson (“Pitch Perfect”), Alison Brie (“Get Hard”) and Leslie Mann (“Knocked Up”).

Christian Ditter (“Love, Rosie”) directed the comedy from a screenplay by Abby Kohn & Marc Silverstein (“The Vow,” “He’s Just Not That Into You”) and Dana Fox (“Couples Retreat,” “What Happens in Vegas”), screen story by Kohn & Silverstein, based on the book by Liz Tucillo (TV’s “Sex & the City”).

The film also stars Damon Wayans, Jr. (“Let’s Be Cops”), Anders Holm (“The Intern”), Nicholas Braun (“The Perks of Being a Wallflower”), Jake Lacy (HBO’s “Girls”), with Jason Mantzoukas (“Neighbors”).

Dakota Johnson stars as Alice, who sets the adventure in motion when she takes a break from her college boyfriend to get her first real taste of the single life and is hurled into a hilarious crash course in the “right way” to do it from Rebel Wilson’s alpha-single Robin, who lives the film’s tagline: If you’re not having fun being single, you’re not doing it right. We also meet Alice’s big sister Meg, played by Mann, an obstetrician who is too busy to find Mr. Right; and Alison Brie’s Lucy, a college professor who has it down to a science.

This is not a movie where ‘girl meets boy and happiness follows,’” director Christian Ditter says. “I think lot of other things can lead to happiness – friendship, finding yourself, figuring out what you want to do with your life… It can also mean finding a guy, or a girl, but not always. Our film is about everything that goes on in life in-between.

According to producer Dana Fox, it’s less a romantic comedy than a funny, edgy celebration of the single life. “We wanted to make a grown-up comedy out of an ensemble romantic comedy,” she explains. “In fact, most romantic comedies tend to be about the romances; this is about being single, and your friends picking you up when you’re down. It’s about going out, trying to find ‘the one’ and maybe stumbling, maybe succeeding, because what you really have to find is yourself.”

Concludes Ditter, “Our film is a comedy first and foremost, but it’s also a movie with a lot of heart, and what’s great about this cast is that they can pull off both – they can make you laugh while delivering those little moments that stay will you long after the movie is over.”

Opening across the Philippines on Thursday, February 11, “How to Be Single” is distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo Spotted in Japan

ABS-CBN and The Filipino Channel (TFC) opened 2016 with a powerhouse ensemble of Kapamilya stars welcoming the year in what could be a preview of what’s in store for Filipinos in Japan at the successful “One Kapamilya Go! Japan” (OK Go! Japan) at the Chibaken Bunka Kaikan in Chiba Prefecture last January 10, Sunday.

“OKGO!” set the tone for a good year ahead as it brought the world-class performances, the stellar line-up and community spirit for which “OKGO!” has been known for across the world, for the third time in Japan and for the first time at the Chiba prefecture.

With the thrilling performances from blockbuster tandem John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo and powerhouse song and dance mixes from Maja Salvador, Enchong Dee and Shaina Magdayao, and with comic interjections from Pooh, Filipinos in Japan can look forward to an exciting year with “OKGO!” as a preview of things to come.

Kicking off the “OKGO! Japan” was the special screening of the highest grossing non-MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) Filipino movie of all time, “A Second Chance,” starring Cruz and Alonzo who played Popoy and Basha, where the audience welled up.  The perennial Box Office King and Queen relived their memorable movie moments on stage as they sung “I’ll Never Go” popularized by Erik Santos.

Bea surprised the audience with her sweet renditions of pop hits like “Same Old Love” by Selena Gomez and “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” by Meghan Trainor.  Surprising the audience even more was Cruz who sang Hotdog classic, “Manila.”  The cheers reverberated across the halls of Chiba-ken Bunka Kaikan when Cruz emerged from the stage and even kidded the audience “Relax lang kayo mayroon pa akong 200 songs (Relax I have 200 more songs,” referring to the number of times the audience had to endure his singing.

Dance Sweetheart Shaina Magdayao delighted the audience with her own version of “Lean On” by Major Lazer and “Cheerleader.”

Enchong Dee raised the excitement level for the ladies in the house as he sang “Seloso” his original music from his debut album.

The crowd went wild when Dance Princess Maja Salvador, Magdayao and Enchong grabbed the dance floor with their show-stopping moves in a medley of RnB hits.

Capping the party that no one seemed to end was crowd favorite Salvador who impressed both the male and female Filipino and Japanese audience with her impressive cover of “Breakfree” by Zedd during her solo performance.

During the show, comedian and host Pooh amped up the fun and excitement by throwing wacky antics that made the audience roar with laughter.

ABS-CBN Asia-Pacific Managing Director Ailene Averion is amazed by the warm welcome of the Kapamilyas in Japan for the first TFC event of the year.  “This is the third time that we held an ‘OKGO! event in Japan but every installment has its own merit.”  Averion explained, “This is the first time OKGO! is kicking off the year and is giving a preview of good things to come for our Kapamilyas in Japan.

Averion ends, “I’m beyond happy that whichever way we bring a TFC event, Filipinos in Japan are always there to greatly support. This is really a great way to start off 2016.

“OK Go!” was launched in the U.S. in 2008 and has since created a history of its own, bringing the biggest names in the Philippine entertainment industry to party with their kababayans in renowned venues in the U.S., Europe, and Asia-Pacific, in one festive celebration of the greatness of the Filipino talent.   “OKGO!” first set foot in Japan in 2010 by way of Tokyo and Nagoya and a second in 2012 back in Tokyo.

“OK GO!” in Chiba was attended by over 1,500 Filipinos, some braving the distance from far-flung prefectures to Chiba, just to experience the first ABS-CBN and TFC event in 2016.

“OK Go! Japan,” an event spearheaded by ABS-CBN Regional and TFC, was made possible through the help of major sponsors, Philippine Airlines, Koi, MX3, Rebisco Hansel crackers, and Thunderbird.

Cruz can be seen weekends via “Home Sweetie Home” and Pooh via “Banana Sundae.”  Meantime, Salvador, Dee and Magadayao are regulars on the longest running musical variety show “ASAP 20.”  Alonzo will soon appear in a Star Cinema movie.  These programs and Star Cinema movies can be seen via TFC’s internet protocol television (IPTV), cable platforms and via TFC’s official online service, TFC.tv

James Reid and Nadine Lustre Give Hint on the Finale Story of 'On The Wings of Love'

James Reid and Nadine Lustre assured their fans that their hit primetime series "On the Wings of Love" will conclude on a high note.

"I'm really sad kasi sobrang ganda ng story. Kahit ako, nai-in love ako sa story nina [Clark and Leah]," Nadine said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

"Si direk kasi gusto niya happy ending kaya excited na ako makita 'yung happy ending na iyon kasi after such a long time, sobrang daming issues sa buhay ni Leah, sa dami nang humahadlang, ito na! Finally, matutuloy na talaga," she added.

For his part, James opened up about his mixed feelings about the series reaching its finale, which is scheduled sometime in February.

"It's kind off sad that the story is over --for everyone, even for the fans. But we all want to see it come to a close so we have that closure. Overall, we're just happy. It's a great project, great experience," he said.

The two, however, stopped short in confirming as to whether "On the Wings of Love,' which first aired back in August, will conclude with a church wedding between their characters Leah and Clark.

Coleen Garcia Out of 'It's Showtime', Billy Crawford Leave the Show Next?

Have you wondered why Coleen Garcia is visibly not showing up on ABS-CBN noontime show "It's Showtime" for some time now? Yes, she's out of the show.

Coleen, in an interview, admitted that she will not be returning to the show as she puts more weight on pursuing an acting career this year.

"I was barely ever there during the entire second half of 2015.I don't think I'll be returning. Management talked to me and they want me to focus on acting." she said.

Aside from the daily pre-primetime series "Pasion de Amor," the Kapamilya actress is also set to star in a still untitled movie opposite Piolo Pascual and Dawn Zulueta under the direction of Gino M. Santos. She will play a young socialite who has an "unlabeled" relationship with Pascual's character.

"Iyong characters namin ay within the lifestyle today. I'm a socialite, while Piolo is a DJ. He's really going to learn how to spin. Zulueta is a fashion designer so somehow our characters will cross paths," she added.

Meanwhile, netizens are also asking if Billy Crawford, her real-life boyfriend and an original host of the Kapamilya noontime show, is also leaving "It's Showtime". Billy, who is also busy taping for the 5th season of Pilipinas Got Talent, has been absent on the show. Despite queries from her fans, Billy remains mum on the issue.

Yna, who is determined to fight for their love against the odds, was also let go by David (Diego Loyzaga) despite his worsening condition.

But her newfound conviction also faces obstacles as Nanay Belen (Amy Austria) is still strongly against the relationship of Yna and Angelo.

Claudia, meanwhile, vows to get rid of Yna and Amor (Jodi Sta. Maria), especially after finding out that Yna is actually Maria Amor, the daughter of Amor and Eduardo (Ian Veneracion).

How long will Claudia be able to make her family believe that she lost her memory? Will she in her plans? And will she still be able to keep Yna and Angelo apart?
