Here Comes the "Wedding Ringer"

Here Comes the "Wedding Ringer"

Columbia Pictures Press Release

Are you bro-less? Buddy-deficient? About to settle down with a girl without ever having lived it up first with the boys? You might just need “The Wedding Ringer.” Top comedians Kevin Hart (“The Grudge Match”) Josh Gad (voice of Olaf in “Frozen”) and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting (TV's “The Big Bang Theory”) star in the new buddy comedy from director Jeremy Garelick (“The Break-Up”).

For any man getting married, there's a lot to take care of before the big day. But no matter how stressful it gets, he can be certain of one thing: the guys that make up his wedding party - from best man to groomsmen - will help him out, from the bachelor party to the reception toast.

They're his crew, after all: the guys who have always been there for him, through good times and bad (and good times that memorably go bad, right?). They're the guys who matter. The guys that lovable, socially awkward groom-to-be Doug Harris (Josh Gad) never had, and doesn't have.

And if he doesn't want to look like a fool to his bride, they're the guys he desperately needs. Fast.

Where most men have the luxury of choosing among childhood friends, current friends and close family for a best man, Doug's in an especially tight jam because he can't find anyone to be his best man. In fact, after going through his entire address book, Doug - with less than two weeks to go before marrying the beautiful girl of his dreams Gretchen Palmer (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) - has come to realize that he simply has no friends.

Enter Jimmy Callahan (Kevin Hart), owner and CEO of Best Man, Inc., an off-the-radar company that provides the ultimate in best man services, which includes making socially challenged guys look like bro-magnet rock stars. With very little time to work with, Jimmy pulls out all of the stops in assuming the role of Doug's right-hand pal, putting together an all-star team of bogus groomsmen in order to impress Gretchen's increasingly suspicious parents Ed (Ken Howard) and Lois (Mimi Rogers) Palmer.

But as Doug's wedding and future hang in the balance, an unexpected bromance develops with the flashy operator he's hired, which fills Doug with the confidence he never had. What ensues in the boisterous comedy The Wedding Ringer is a hilarious charade as Jimmy and his misfit team of rent-a-friends create a series of outrageously funny dude-ventures while circumventing myriad tests initiated by the Palmer family, in order to pull off their biggest and boldest con to date.

Joining Hart, Gad and Cuoco-Sweeting in supporting roles are Ken Howard ("30 Rock"), Cloris Leachman ("Raising Hope"), Jenifer Lewis (“Think Like a Man Too”), Mimi Rogers ("Two and a Half Men"), and Olivia Thirlby (“The Wackness”).

Opening across the Philippines on February 11, “The Wedding Ringer” is distributed by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International.

Maximize Your Pope Francis Experience With These Tech Tips and Safety Reminders

Maximize Your Pope Francis Experience With These Tech Tips and Safety Reminders

Be blessed as Pope Francis finally arrived in the Philippines.

As we celebrate and welcome His Holiness, expect not just a huge crowd going out of their way to see, hear and feel him spread the word of God, but his social media exposure as well.

Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and Sun Cellular (Sun) shared some tips and reminders to mobile subscribers so they can have a safe Papal visit experience.

Safety comes first.
It maybe wise to avoid bringing very young children and family members with health conditions to events where large crowds are expected. They can still keep track of the papal visit through TV and radio broadcasts as well as through updates online and in social media. Be in the know regarding the latest news and information regarding the schedules and on ground conditions. For those attending the public events, prepare personal or family emergency kits which should contain basic medicines, enough water for hydration and light snacks such as crackers, and extra change of light clothing. Make sure that all family members have ID cards with emergency phone number contacts. During the event, take note of the nearest first aid or other emergency stations in your areas.

Be mindful of mobile phone usage.
Apart from calling, texting, and social media sharing, your mobile phones can be your handy guide and safety tool for emergencies so make sure they're ready. Before going to a public event, make sure that your phone is fully charged. If you have power banks, don't forget to bring them too. Due to the huge number of people expected to participate, it is also best to use your phone for important call and texts to conserve battery and resources. For security reasons, while in the middle of a crowd, you can opt to use your phone cameras and then post updates later to your social media when you are more comfortably settled and secure.

Install navigation apps.
To help you find your way, make sure to have a navigation app like Waze and traffic tools like the MMDA app installed on your mobile device.  Aside from suggesting different routes to your destination, these apps can also provide traffic updates. For Waze users, you may also contribute your own road/traffic updates for the benefit of the other users. You may download the Waze app via Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and Windows Phone Store for free. Waze and other apps as well as websites can be used for free with the Free Internet promo for Smart, TNT and Sun Cellular subscribers by just texting FREE to 9999 to register. Make sure to keep monitoring all official public advisories and announcements on which roads will be closed or transport services that will be suspended during the papal visit. Visit for more information.

Install the Batingaw app.
Turn your mobile device into a safety tool by downloading the Batingaw app. This app can turn your mobile devices into a flashlight, siren, compass, and radio, which are helpful tools to send signals and stay connected especially during emergencies. The Batingaw app, which can be downloaded for free via Google Play and Apple App store, also has the "I am safe" feature which allows you to send a preset text message plus your actual location to a loved one with just a tap on your phone.

Take note of the Smart person finder service In extreme cases where you couldn't locate your friend or family member, you can make use of the person finder service available for Smart and Talk 'N Text (TNT) subscribers. To use the service, the person you want to locate must first allow you to locate him/her.  To ask permission, text FIND <name of loved one> <mobile number of loved one> and send to 386.  Once you get authorization, text FIND <name of loved one>  to get the location details of your loved one.

Remember the syntax for emergency load.
Just in case you run out of load and there are no loading stations available in the area, you may request for an emergency load from a friend by calling *808 + number of your family/friend. But if you have zero balance, you may dial *767 for SOS load. This service will allow you to send three (3) text messages to Smart or TNT subscribers with P1 airtime load. Four pesos will be deducted from your balance the next time you top up. These services are available to Smart and TNT subscribers.

Use "ICE" and speed dial.
Add the letters "ICE", which stands for "in case of emergency", in select contacts in your mobile phone directory. This will let the emergency responders know who you would want to be contacted during an emergency. Also, don't forget to save emergency and family numbers on speed dial.

Stay connected.
Be updated of the Pope's whereabouts and learn more stories about his visit. Follow news stations like @TV5Manila on Twitter. You may send a message to Pope Francis via your social media accounts using #dearpopefrancis. You may also create a prayer post card online via

Meanwhile, to further allow more Filipinos to be informed and stay in touch, Smart and Twitter has partnered for free Twitter via mobile app or browser from January 15 to January 19 by texting DEARPOPE to 9999. Smart, Sun Cellular and Talk 'n Text subscribers who are registered to the ongoing Smart Free Internet promo may enjoy the Free Twitter service on top of their 30 MB allocation.

Piolo Pascual Declares: "A Valentine movie with Sarah Geronimo is not the right project!"

Piolo Pascual Declares: "A Valentine movie with Sarah Geronimo is not the right project!"

If rumor is true, this is sad news indeed to the fans of Piolo Pascual and Sarah Geronimo who wished to have the two biggest Kapamilya stars do a movie together.

Piolo, whose latest movie "Starting Over Again" opposite Toni Gonzaga earned the highest-grossing Filipino movie in history, said the reported team-up with Sarah, a 3-time blockbuster queen awardee, may not push through.

I can’t speak about that kasi hindi pa sila [Star Cinema] nagpi-pitch ulit... With the recent developments, parang hindi na yata tuloy yung Sarah,” he said.
After it was reported that Piolo and Sarah will star in Star Cinema's Valentine’s movie this year, Piolo said it may not happen as they have not started shooting for the movie.  Likewise, news also surfaced that Kapamilya hottest loveteam KathNiel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla) now shooting their movie with Lorna Tolentino and Gabby Concepcion slated to February 2015 released.
May ibang concerns ang Star Cinema, e. Sila ang magde-decide kung matutuloy, e. So dapat February ang release pero hindi kami natuloy nung December for shooting,” Piolo added.
Piolo also said that he will have meeting with Star Cinema next week to talk about his next movie project but it’s likely that he may not be paired with Sarah for his new movie.
Baka hindi na with Sarah. Although I want to work with her but I think it’s not the right project.”

Project Almanac: "Today is Better the Second Time Around" Movie Poster Out

Project Almanac: "Today is Better the Second Time Around" Movie Poster Out

Columbia Pictures Press Release

Today is Better the Second Time Around,” so says the newly-released poster artwork of Paramount Pictures' time-travel movie “Project Almanac” from producer Michael Bay.

The one-sheet – which shows four photos of teenagers wallowing in luck, and fifth one with a sinister vibe – echoes the presumptive theme of the film: every good luck has a hidden, dark consequence.

In the film, a brilliant high school student and his friends uncover blueprints for a mysterious device with limitless potential, inadvertently putting lives in danger. The youthful cast is composed of Jonny Weston (“Chasing Mavericks”), Sofia Black-D’Elia (TV's “Gossip Girl”), Sam Lerner (TV's “Suburgatory”), Allen Evangelista (TV's “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”) and Ginny Gardner (TV's “Glee”).

Insurge Pictures presents in association with Michael Bay a Platinum Dunes Production “Project Almanac.” Executive Producers are Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Vicki Dee Rock. Produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, the film is written by Jason Harry Pagan & Andrew Deutschman. Directed by Dean Israelite.

Opening across the Philippines on February 04, 2015, “Project Almanac” is distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.

Photos: Pregnant Cristine Reyes Kissing 6-Packs Abs Ali Khatibi

Now that she's pregnant and decided to temporarily put her showbiz career on hold, sexy actress Cristine Reyes finds a huge time to update her fans about her regular "non showbiz" activities including her daily OOTD (proving that being pregnant shouldn't be a reason to make you look ugly, undesirable), her pregnancy journal and lately even posting a photo showing her doing a passionate deed with boyfriend Ali Khatibi.

On Facebook, Cristine posted the following messages accompanied with photos (below) showing her baby bump while kissing a 6-pack abs Ali.

Us. Last night. Keeping it balanced. Ali said I have to prepare for a battle.. He means when the time has come to give birth to our daughter.
We are guided and carefully handled by professionals. So I am at peace doing some light physical activity. 🙅 Thanks to Ali's brother from another mother Franco Rulloda (@artesuave26) who patiently trains me with my "weak" energy lately. I've reached the end of my second trimester. Countdown is 12 weeks, 4 days left. ‪#‎motherhood‬ ‪#‎mothertobe‬ ‪#‎preggo‬ ‪#‎pregnant‬ ‪#‎gymaholics‬ ‪#‎bamf‬ ‪#‎training‬

Just want to share something today about us...

I had prayed for months about our relationship. There were a lot of "what ifs" going on inside my head. In the end, I made the decision to step out in faith. I don't know all the answers, but we have God. And we certainly going to have a lot of learnings to do. Like many, we entered in this relationship with a lot of habits, secrets, and preconceptions that could have killed us.
We often practiced the art of "silent treatment" Rather than dealing with the issue kindly and honestly. Too afraid of the conflict and exposure it would take to resolve it.
But as we face the reality. We realize the importance of each other. Why we started and the life were building together for our future family! Above everything. The LOVE. We should always remember the seeds that planted us together. FOREVER.
