“Fast & Furious 7” Announces Release Date; Cast Send Message to Loyal Fans

Universal Pictures' “Fast & Furious 7” officially wrapped production today, July 11, as announced in the film's official Facebook page. The post included a letter to fans of the franchise celebrating the end of the production and again paying tribute to the late Paul Walker, whose Brian O'Conner will ride one more time when the film hits theaters next April.

The letter may be read in full below:

We made it.

Today we completed the last shot in the production of FAST & FURIOUS 7.

We wanted to take this moment to express how thankful we are for your support. We felt the love and strength from our fans throughout this journey, and it’s because of you that we got here.

There was a time when we didn’t know how we could go on, or even if we should. But we listened to you, and you inspired us not only to keep going but to try and make the best FAST & FURIOUS movie yet.

Our FAST family has been together for almost fifteen years now and has grown a lot in that time. From the start, Vin has been our leader who feels what’s right for FAST in his gut and in his heart. When we had to stop production last year, Vin gathered us back together and moved us forward when we needed it most. He led us to this day.

Some of us have been here from the very beginning. Vin, Michelle, Jordana and our producer Neal all go back to that first little movie we shot on the streets of LA. We came back to LA in FAST 7, and it was an especially emotional homecoming for those who’ve grown up with each other since that first shoot.

There are those we count as brothers who we gathered along the way and are with us again: Dwayne, Tyrese, Luda, Lucas and our writer, Chris. We’ve got some new additions this time in Jason, Kurt, Djimon, Nathalie and our director, James. Caleb and Cody joined us to honor their brother and help complete his work.

Our family is big and strong but it won’t ever quite be whole again without Paul.

All of us -- those who’ve been here from the start and those whose first FAST film is 7 -- wanted to create a special film for him and for you. We believe we have.

Thank you for being there for us. You are the biggest part of our family, and we couldn’t have gotten here without you.

The countdown to April 4 begins.

With love,

Your FAST & FURIOUS Family”

“Fast & Furious 7” opens across the Philippines on April 04, 2015 and will be distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.

"Jersey Boys" Exclusive at Ayala Mall on July 16

Hailed by The New York Post as “one of the year's best" films, Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Jersey Boys” -- director Clint Eastwood’s big-screen version of the Tony Award-winning musical -- will be shown exclusively at Ayala Malls Cinemas starting July 16.

The film tells the story of four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic rock group The Four Seasons. The story of their trials and triumphs are accompanied by the songs that influenced a generation, including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Dawn,” “Rag Doll,” “Bye Bye Baby,” “Who Loves You,” and many more.

These classic hits are now being embraced by a new generation of fans through the stage musical, which has been running on Broadway for more than eight years and has also enjoyed successful tours around the globe.

Starring in the film, John Lloyd Young reprises his Tony Award-winning portrayal of the legendary lead singer of The Four Seasons, Frankie Valli. Erich Bergen stars as Bob Gaudio, who wrote or co-wrote all of the group’s biggest hits. Michael Lomenda and Vincent Piazza star respectively as Nick Massi and Tommy DeVito, two original members of The Four Seasons. Oscar® winner Christopher Walken (“Catch Me If You Can”) stars as mobster Gyp DeCarlo.

Oscar® winner Eastwood (“Million Dollar Baby,” “Unforgiven”) directed “Jersey Boys” from a screenplay and musical book by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, song music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe.

A video featurette about the making of the film may be viewed at

With music being the connective thread that runs through “Jersey Boys,” Eastwood made the decision to have the actors playing the title characters sing the band’s indelible songs live on camera, instead of doing pre-tapes of the musical performances. The director comments, “It just felt like the way to go since most of them had done it live so many times before. When they sing, you really see the performance value and get the emotion.

It feels very immediate,” attests John Lloyd Young. “Coming in, I didn’t realize how unusual it is on a film to sing live on camera, so it was an interesting challenge for everyone. The best part was that Clint is a true music aficionado, so it was fantastic to watch this legendary director turn into an enraptured audience member right in front of us.”

Vincent Piazza, who came into the film without a musical background, appreciated the support of his fellow castmates, as well as his director. “John Lloyd, Erich and Michael were there to help me through the numbers, which was a blessing, and I had great teachers. And I knew I was in the best hands with Clint. The fact that he believed in me gave me all the self-confidence I needed.

Eastwood concludes, “I know audiences will come out of the theater humming the songs and that’s great. But I also hope they enjoy learning the story of where those songs come from and remembering the four young men whose legacy is still being felt today.”

“Jersey Boys” is distributed in the Philippines by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment company.

Eva Mendes Pregnant with Ryan Gosling Child

Longtime couple Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are expecting a baby together, according to a report by US Weekly.

This will be the first child for Mendes, 40, and Gosling, 33, who costarred as parents in 2013's Place Beyond the Pines. The couple have been dating for nearly three years, since the fall of 2011.

Earlier this year, Mendes, who is now seven months pregnant, laughed off pregnancy chatter in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres. "It's so ridiculous," she said at the time. "It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy? They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out." That, apparently, was enough to set off the rumor mill.

Gosling, too, was - indirectly - involved in some baby buzz this year, when a fake Facebook page for the actor posted an update saying that the Notebook hunk had adopted a baby boy. More than 930,000 people were fooled by the Father's Day post, with many fans praising his "decision" to take in an infant son.

Is Jeff Langan Kris Aquino's Newest Love! Love! Love!?!

Ever wonder who is this guy you have seen in one of the episodes of KrisTV walking around with Kris Aquino (sorry to disappoint but Jeff is not Kris' recent love! love! love!)?

He is 21-year-old Las Vegas-raised 6-foot-one Fil-Am model named Jeff Langan.

Herbert Bautista Marriage Proposal to Kris Aquino, What Happened After?

Why do you think Kris Aquino is hurting so bad (that she even cut her hair short) when she felt humiliated after Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista admitted on national television that he love(s) his children (four from two past relationships) so he discontinued his relationship with Kris and never ever wanted to reunite emotionally with her?

On Ricky Lo's Philstar Funfare column released today, Herbert offered Kris marriage ‘but withdrew it after five days.

"If you were Kris, wouldn’t you feel like you were dropped like a hot potato? People need to understand her." RFL's source said.

No wonder Kris, who would initiate the break-ups with her men (Phillip Salvador, Joey Marquez and James Yap), feels so profoundly hurt.

Kapuso Stars Conquers Nationwide Festivals

It took Geoff Eigenmann and Lauren Young more or less six hours - two hours by plane and four hours by land - to reach Davao Oriental and touch base with 7,000 Davaoeño fans via a Kapuso Fiesta last June 21.

But the long and even exhausting trip was worth it as the Kapuso stars felt both the joy and satisfaction of mingling with their supporters and experiencing the vibrant celebration of one of Southern Mindanao’s festival attractions, the Araw ng Banaybanay.

That night, Geoff wowed the audience with his rendition of a few songs to the delight of the audience, while Lauren took the opportunity to promote Overtime, GMA Films’ latest suspense offering, which premiered last July 2. Sharing the stage with them was comedian Boobay as event host.

Geoff said, “It was an amazing experience for us. The Davaoeños were so welcoming, we had so much fun.”

Lauren, for her part, said, “Isa ito sa hindi ko malilimutang regional trips. Our sincerest thanks to our fans for making this visit truly memorable for us.”

On the same day, Iloilo’s sixth Pagnahi-An Festival was also heating up with the presence of Bela Padilla and Derrick Monasterio. The duo sang popular love songs in the annual affair that was held at the Bingawan Gym, attracting an estimated crowd of 4,000 Ilonggos.

Simultaneously happening up north was the Empanada Festival of Batac in Ilocos Norte, which had stars from GMA’s newest family drama series My BFF as guests.

Leading the party at the Imelda Cultural Center that was filled with almost 4,000 supporters was Mona Louise Rey together with Valerie Concepcion and Hiro Peralta.

According to Oliver Amoroso, AVP and head for GMA Regional TV-Integrated Marketing Services, “We’re delighted to spread the Kapuso fever all around the archipelago, bringing joy to (Kapuso viewers) in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao through our various events, mall shows and participation in festivities in the regions.”

On June 22, meanwhile, a Kapuso Mall Show featuring Jeric Gonzales and veteran stand-up comedians Ate Gay and Chubbylita happened at the KCC Mall of General Santos City delighting approximately 3,000 fans.

In the same venue, the Mindanao leg of the auditions for the revival of the well-loved ’80s soap Yagit also took place.
