Marian Rivera Launches “Kapuso Adopt-A-Bangka" Campaign

Marian Rivera Launches “Kapuso Adopt-A-Bangka" Campaign

Kapuso Adopt-A-Bangka campaign, GMA Regional TV, in partnership with the Bantayan Island Association of Hotels, Resorts, Bars, and Restaurants, Inc., helps rebuild and rehabilitate bangkas, a major tool of livelihood for local fisherfolk at the Island of Bantayan in Northern Cebu. As GMA supports holistic and transformative rehabilitation of these affected communities, we support the Bantayan Back-to-Sea Project, through the Kapuso Adopt-a-Bangka campaign.

The info drive campaign helps provide long-term livelihood opportunities for the fishermen and local communities who were greatly affected by super typhoon Yolanda. Rebuilding a typical bangka will cost between Php15,000.00-Php25,000.00 and can last for 15-20 years. I am personally inviting donors to join us in this cause.

Through the help of sponsors, the bangkas will be rebuilt and rehabilitated. These fishermen need their bangkas as well as fishing implements (hooks, nets, etc) so that they can help themselves, and in turn, help their communities.

Bantayan Back-to-Sea Project accepts donation through:

"Yolanda" Documentary Airs Sunday on ABS-CBN’s Sunday’s Best

Broadcast journalist Atom Araullo recounts his harrowing experience during the onslaught of the world’s strongest tropical storm Yolanda that hit Visayas in a special documentary titled “Yolanda” airing this Sunday (December 22) on ABS-CBN.

We were there when the storm was happening, when typhoon Yolanda was kicking. We could see the water rising then we imagined thousands of people getting trapped in their houses,” Atom recalled during his interview in Lynda Jumilla’s program on ANC “Beyond Politics.”

He also described the devastating aftermath of typhoon Yolanda as something that no one could have prepared for because of its incredible magnitude.

The people were running around… You could hear people sobbing in the darkness, there was no power, there were dead bodies all around, survivors couldn’t get in touch with their loved ones,” he shared.

Aside from recalling his memorable coverage in Tacloban, Atom also shows never-before-seen video footage of the super typhoon’s initial onslaught and images from the crucial hours after the storm.

He also tells the different heartbreaking and inspiring stories of Yolanda victims that showcase the the strength of Filipinos and highlight how the rest of the world united to help the typhoon survivors.

Mark Wahlberg's Action-Pack Movie “Lone Survivor” Depicts True Acts of Courage

Mark Wahlberg's Action-Pack Movie “Lone Survivor” Depicts True Acts of Courage

Touchstone Pictures' upcoming blockbuster “Lone Survivor” has been lauded by critics as a profoundly moving and “deeply intense” tribute to America's Navy SEALs – but getting the film off the ground was no easy feat.

Based on retired Petty Officer First Class Marcus Luttrell’s 2007 best-selling book Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10, the film adaptation tells the chilling story of one historically fateful day. On June 28, 2005 a four-man reconnaissance and surveillance team set out on a mission in the desolate region in Kunar province to identify a key Taliban leader believed to be responsible for the deaths of several U.S. service members.

Suddenly faced with an unfathomable ambush of enemy fire, Lieutenant Michael Murphy (Taylor Kitsch), Second Class Petty Officer Matthew Gene “Axe” Axelson (Emilie Hirsch), and Second Class Danny P. Dietz (Ben Foster) perished while fighting with relentless will and bravery alongside their brothers-in-arms. Luttrell (Mark Wahlberg) became the only survivor following the intense gunfight and five days in the remote mountains, protected from the terrorist organization by village locals.

A total of 11 SEALs and eight soldiers lost their lives on that mountain as rescue aircrafts too were shot down, and at that time the tragedy marked the biggest single loss of life for Naval Special Warfare forces since World War ll.

Yet despite “Lone Survivor’s” captivating plotline, it turns out that the based-on-a-true-story movie almost didn’t make the leap from book to the big screen. According to producer Randall Emmet, investors were initially skeptical, and they worried that the film wouldn’t appeal to international markets.

At first they thought it was too ‘down the middle,’ and there were risks in it. It didn’t fit into a certain genre like action or thriller. This is a really heartfelt drama and that can be conceived as more risky versus a mainstream, commercial action movie,” Emmet said. “But I felt a personal responsibility to make this happen. Even if we made no money, Peter [Berg, the director] and I knew this was a story about humanity, compassion, selflessness and it had to be made regardless. We took some meetings in Cannes, and thankfully investors saw that [vision] too.”

But Luttrell said he was simply honored Hollywood honchos would even want to tell his story.

No matter how many times I get up and tell [it], or how many people read the book, it’s nothing compared to how many people will watch this film,” Luttrell said.

And for the actors, the pressure was on to capture these real-life characters in an authentic way – a way that could serve as some sort of comfort for families of the fallen.

“Getting into character firstly there was the physical side, three months of training at an extreme level to look the part of Michael Murphy. I also got to go the SEAL base in Hawaii and sit and talk to Marcus and others, and hear stories about Murph and the funny moments and how he found his motivations,” Kitsch said. “We’re all guilty of being in our own bubble but doing a film like this, it grounds you. It makes you take a hard look in the mirror at the opportunities you have and the relationships… Audiences need to realize that these men don’t start the war; they just go and fight it. It doesn’t matter what side you’re on politically, everyone should be pro-soldier.”

Co-star Eric Bana, who plays Lieutenant Commander Erik Kristensen, first became a film face for Special Ops in the 2001 action movie “Black Hawk Down,” too stressed the importance of telling a story that would give audiences an even deeper understanding of the sacrifices made by our troops in combat.

I just hope audiences really get a sense of what an incredible task these men are faced with,” he told us. “I knew going into this movie, it was going to be a very special experience. The camaraderie was incredible.

Yet for Luttrell, a former SEAL accustomed to fighting the fight far away – without the need for accolades and pats on the back – having now been thrust into the Hollywood limelight with an onslaught of press attention is far from his comfort zone.

I can’t wait to get out of here,” he added with a laugh. “I just want to get back to my ranch in Texas.”
Opening across the Philippines on January 2014, “Lone Survivor” is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International.

TV5 Ready for 2014, Announces Bigger, Bolder, Exciting 2014 Shows Line-up

TV5 Ready for 2014, Announces Bigger, Bolder, Exciting 2014 Shows Line-up

Following the success of its counter-programming strategy in its ‘Weekend Do It Better’ programs and ‘Everyday, All The Way’ primetime block, TV5 continues to do away with traditional television programming this 2014 and dares to be different with its own variety of program offerings for the whole family.

The Kapatid network begins the year with a bang with its daily programs that are both surprising and out-of-the-box. Coming from the success of the daily primetime serye Madam Chairman, Megastar Sharon Cuneta will carry on to the daily tawaserye My Pirated Family. In this series, Sharon will play a one-of-a-kind street-smart woman who cons her way to the world of the rich and famous by putting together a fake family.

Aside from My Pirated Family, Megastar Sharon Cuneta will have her first-ever drama anthology entitled Minamahal. Further, the network will also have a Philippine adaptation of two hit Korean dramas, Baker King and My Fair Lady.

TV5 also dares to offer more than the daily 30-minute teleseryes through providing hour-long dramas that promise to be bold, intriguing and game-changing every Thursday night. Starting this January, Marvin Agustin, Neri Naig, Bianca King and Martin Escudero will star in Obsession, a controversial, cutting-edge medical drama about a woman who undergoes extensive cosmetic surgery to win back the heart of the man she’s obsessively in love with. Meanwhile, highly-acclaimed actress and Kapatid primetime princess Jasmine Curtis Smith stars in a self-titled drama series as a fictional version of herself. In the series, Jasmine encounters a mysterious stalker who becomes obsessed with every detail about her.

Second quarter of 2014 will also be thrilling as TV5 brings the local adaptation of the US hit series Pretty Little Liars to Philippine primetime. Topbilled by TV5 homegrown talents Sophie Albert, Chanel Morales, Stephanie Rowe and introducing Daniel Lee, a group of friends mourn over the death of the leader of their clique, hoping that their secrets go to the grave with her.

The Kapatid network also dares to change Tuesday television programming by offering a new take on its mini-series. Eula Caballero plays a struggling lady taxi driver in the fast and furious romantic comedy, One Of The Boys. Alwyn Uytingco topbills Beki Boxer where he portrays the role of Maneng, a gay boy who has boxing skills that could make him a famous champion boxer. Derek Ramsay and Aga Muhlach team up for the first time in the drama series My Brother’s Keeper where they play brothers who get caught in a sibling rivalry of epic proportions.

A whole new season of reality, game, talk and talent shows also comes to TV5 with more surprises, shake-ups and much more at stake. Aga’s successful game show Let’s Ask Pilipinas gets extended for another season, along with Gelli de Belen and Tintin Bersola-Babao’s social reality talk show Face The People. Well-loved TV5 programs such as The Million Peso Money Drop and Talentadong Pinoy, to name a few, will also make a comeback to the Kapatid network. The network will also launch exciting new game shows, some adaptations from hit foreign game shows and some Kapatid originals. Lucy Torres-Gomez will once again claim her reign on the dance floor as she hosts Celebrity Dance Battle.

The biggest race on Philippine television also returns to TV5 with Derek Ramsay hosting The Amazing Race Philippines: Biyaheng Asya. With a multi-million budget and bigger prizes at stake, the show will once again put together 11 teams who will race hard and race fast for two million pesos.

In addition to all these exciting shows, TV5 will officially launch sixteen (16) original made-for-television movies starring cinemas’ biggest and most iconic stars. Never-before-seen films and ensembles, as well as much-awaited reunions of unforgettable match-ups like Tirso Cruz III and the one and only Superstar Nora Aunor, come together in Studio 5’s 2014 Original Collection.

News5, the news and information arm of TV5, will also launch a series of documentaries exploring the vast wealth of the Philippine islands and the problems we encounter in managing such wealth. From our land resources, water resources to our human resources, Yaman ng Bayan will show viewers the richness of our natural resources, stressing the importance of tapping these natural wealth responsibly. Seasoned journalists led by News5 chief Luchi Cruz Valdez, Head of News5 Operations DJ Sta. Ana, Head of News5 programming Patrick Paez and InterAksyon.com Editor-in-Chief Roby Alampay will also host their first-hand documentaries on iDokyu.

With this remarkable line-up of new shows for the coming year, the Kapatid network breaks the habit of traditional TV to satisfy the modern viewer’s craving for fresh and vibrant entertainment programming. Indeed, those who dare to be different this 2014 should make the switch to the only station that dares to make a difference, TV5.

"Amazing Spider-Man 2" Latest Trailer

"Amazing Spider-Man 2" Latest Trailer

Less than two weeks after the launch of the full trailer of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” Columbia Pictures has already released a follow-up, new trailer – this time preceded by a personal message from castmember Emma Stone.

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The film, directed by Marc Webb from a screen story and screenplay by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci & Jeff Pinkner based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, is produced by Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach.

Jolo Revilla Talks About Jodi Sta. Maria's Pregnancy

Jolo Revilla Talks About Jodi Sta. Maria's Pregnancy

"This is my first and final statement regarding Jodi's pregnancy issue. She is not pregnant and we are not yet married," Jolo Revilla said in a statement on his Twitter account pertaining to the rumored pregnancy of his girlfriend actress Jodi Sta. Maria.

"What we have right now is something special and we want to keep it private because I love her so much. Kung sakaling tutuo man yan, kayo po unang unang makakaalam. God bless," he added.

Early this week, actor Richard Yap clarified rumors that Sta. Maria, his leading lady in the ABS-CBN hit series "Be Careful With My Heart," is now pregnant.

The Kapamilya actress noted that some fans often confuse Jodi with Maya, her character in the daytime series.

After the much-awaited wedding of Maya and Yap's character Sir Chief on the series, the former nanny seems to be infanticipating.

But Richard said this storyline doesn't extend to the real life of Jodi, who is in a relationship with Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla.

"They associated it with her real life kasi noong nagka-dengue siya ay pinalabas din siya sa show," Richard said. "So they might be thinking that we are doing the same thing now, but sorry to say hindi pa."

ABSNews

ABS-CBN News remains the most trusted Philippine TV news organization in the country, with its official website abs-cbnNEWS.com setting a new all-time record of 72.7 million page views in November, according to the audience measurement analytics provider Effective Measure.

ABS-CBN News website’s page views were bolstered over these previous months by high interest for information from news audiences about the Zamboanga siege, the strong earthquake and the super typhoon Yolanda that devastated the central Philippines.

On social media, ABS-CBN is still the most preferred news source among TV networks with its official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/abscbnNEWS) garnering more than 2.2 million likes, and its Twitter accounts being followed by a total of 2.9 million people.

Its YouTube account, on the other hand, maintains its standing as the media channel with the most subscriptions in Southeast Asia with over 1.4 million subscribers.

ABS-CBN News’ Social Media and Mobile Head Arlene Burgos expressed how she and her team are overwhelmed by the trust given them by Filipino netizens. “We thank everyone who believes in us. These figures motivate us to work harder,” she said.

But more than the affirmation of the network’s credibility to the public, Burgos said these numbers represent how many Filipinos are still abreast with what’s happening in and out the country and how they remain involved as citizens. “Social media can be used in so many ways and it’s good to know that millions of Filipinos still read the news using their laptops, tablets, smartphones, or mobile phones.”

Andi Eigenmann Spends Her Most Meaningful Christmas “In the arms of the one she loves

“Galema: Anak ni Zuma” star Andi Eigenmann looks forward to the holidays so she can spend time and enjoy it with her most ‘special someone’ - her two-year-old daughter, baby Ellie.

In the arms of the one I love - that’s how I’m planning to celebrate my Christmas,” Andi gleefully shared. “Because of my baby Ellie, my holidays will now become happier and more meaningful. Since she can already appreciate the things around her, this is the first Christmas she’ll remember. I'm really looking forward to taking her out and start new Christmas traditions with her.”

Andi further shared that like the rest of the Filipino people who faced tough challenges this year, she is choosing to remain optimistic about life and keep on moving forward for ‘brighter days.’

There's no reason for us not to celebrate the coming of Jesus Christ. No matter what kind of struggles we may have gone through in the past months, He still light up our lives. We should believe that there will always be brighter days to come and we should never stop being thankful to Him,” she said.

Meanwhile, viewers are up for bigger revelations in “Galema: Anak ni Zuma” as Galema’s (Andi) real identity starts to reveal the ‘true colors’ of the people she loves. What are the new evil plans of Zuma (Derick Hubalde) against his daughter Galema? Can Morgan (Matteo Guidicelli) win Galema’s forgiveness after realizing that he truly loves his friend despite the horrifying truth he discovered?

Don’t miss “Galema: Anak ni Zuma,” weekdays after “Kapamilya Blockbusters” in ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold. For more updates about “Galema: Anak ni Zuma,” visit the show’s official social networking sites: Facebook.com/galemaofficial and Twitter.com/galemaofficial.

NAIA 3 Shooting Incident Kills 4

NAIA 3 Shooting Incident Leaves 4 Dead

You tell me, where else can you stay that is still safe these days?

From tension-filled martilyo gang robbery incident in SM North EDSA, to horrifying Don Mariano bus accident in Skyway, now a shooting incident inside what we thought is one of the well-guarded place - NAIA 3 terminal.

Mayor Ukol Talumpa of Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur, his wife Lea, and 25-year-old Saripuddin Talumpa and 18-month-old Philip Thomas Estuesta were killed in an ambush at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 Friday morning.

Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Jose Angel Honrado said the 4 casualties were shot dead by unidentified gunmen at the loading bay area of NAIA 3 at 11:15 a.m., causing panic among the people at the terminal.

Four others were injured but Honrado refused to reveal their names. It was not yet established whether the four injured were included in Talumpa's party.

Honrado said Talumpa and his relatives arrived at the airport at around 10 a.m. He came from Zamboanga del Sur via Cebu Pacific flight 5J 852.

He said witnesses are now coordinating with investigators. He also appealed to others who witnessed the shooting to come forward, as he admitted that no closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera was installed to cover the site where the ambush incident occurred.

The MIAA chief, however, said a cellphone video captured the ambush incident and investigators are set to examine it.

Chief Supt. Jose Erwin Villacorte, director of Southern Police District (SPD), said police checkpoints have been established within 1.5-kilometer radius of the airport.

Villacorte said they received reports that the gunmen were on board a motorcycle and were in police uniforms.

Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) personnel are now processing the crime scene, where blood marks and the victims' luggage were seen.

The victim's other relatives who were at the airport, meanwhile, refused to comment on the incident.

Police are now investigating how the suspects managed to smuggle a firearm, said to be a .45-caliber pistol, inside the NAIA terminal. - ABS-CBNNews.com

Saka Saka - MMFF 2013 New Wave Section Movie Entry

The MMFF 2013 New Wave Section features full-length indie films, animated films as well as student films which will serve as a prelude to the main competition featuring eight entries that will open by December 25.

From December 18 to 24, 2013, five full-length indie films will be shown as part of the New Wave Section of the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

Five animation films as well as three student short films will be screened along with the full-length films at SM Megamall and Glorietta 4 including "Saka Saka" starring Ejay Falcon, Joseph Marco, Baron Geisler, Toby Alejar, Perla Bautista, Kathleen Hermosa, and Mon Confiado under the direction of Toto Natividad and produced by Cinebro.

Saka Saka is a story about two brothers, Alex and Abner, whose family and lives are shattered upon their initiation to the violent world of political assassins or “saka saka.”

Alex is played by Ejay Falcon, one of the most bankable young action stars in the industry today, while model-turned-actor Joseph Marco takes on the role of Abner.

The movie exposes the secret world of the saka saka as it explores the age-old conflict between lawful righteousness and violent revenge. It challenges audiences to think about the extent to which people may go in defending and protecting their families from oppression and corruption.

Ejay feels honored to be part of Saka Saka, an action-packed drama family drama directed by Toto Natividad.

Napakadaling katrabaho si Direk Toto, na direktor ko rin sa Dugong Buhay. Masarap [gawin itong project] kasi bilang fan ako ng action, nagawa ko ito,” says Ejay who also stars in Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy, another MMFF entry in the mainstream category.

This film marks the first lead role for Joseph. “Napakadami ko pong natutunan at nag-grow po ako bilang isang actor sa paggawa ng pelikulang ito,” says Joseph who is also part of the ABS-CBN teleserye Honesto.

Playing the role of the young Balneg (the boys’ father) is Baron Geisler. “It’s a good action film—may puso,” says Baron of Saka Saka, which marks his debut in the New Wave Section and brings his total number of MMFF films to four. “I’m very excited—it’s an action film and I got to use some guns! It’s like every boy’s dream,” he enthuses.

Ang Maestra depicts the life of a teacher named Antonia Dela Vega (portrayed by Perla Bautista). She 1ived her retirement under the care of her grandson Raphael (played by Biboy Ramirez). The movie captures how this caring, dedicated, and passionate teacher deals with the present and remembers a glorious past, all while coping with senility.

Biboy, who also co-produces the film, shares that the movie pays tribute to teachers. “What makes this movie different from other entries is that kami lang yata ang medyo melodramatic. May kurot, may iyak. Sa texture pa lang, ito yung drama na tipong papanoorin ng mga mommy at mga lola,” he says.

According to director Joven Tan, “Ang pelikula [at] musika [ay] dalawang bagay na kapag pinagsama ay makakabuo ng kakaibang damdamin. Isang malaking karangalan na maging bahagi ng dalawang mundong ito, mundo na ninanais ng karaniwang tao na maging parte ng pag-ikot nito.”

Dukit - MMFF 2013 New Wave Section Movie Entry

The MMFF 2013 New Wave Section features full-length indie films, animated films as well as student films which will serve as a prelude to the main competition featuring eight entries that will open by December 25.

From December 18 to 24, 2013, five full-length indie films will be shown as part of the New Wave Section of the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

Five animation films as well as three student short films will be screened along with the full-length films at SM Megamall and Glorietta 4 including "Dukit" starring Willy Layug, Raquel Villavicencio, Bor Ocampo, Mark Joseph Grisworld, Hazel Thea Lelay, Mary Grace Martinez, Petite Dobles, Rhea Angela Lim, Zelinda B. Sotto under the direction of Armando “Bing” Lao and produced by Center Stage Productions (Brillante Ma. Mendoza).

In Kapampangan, “dukit” means “carved in wood,” and this film with the same title tells the real-life story of known sculptor Wilfredo “Willy” Tadeo Layug from Pampanga.

In the movie, the lead character is Waldo, played by Willy himself, who was born to religious but impoverished parents. At an early age, Waldo suffered his first personal tragedy when his father abandoned the family for another woman. He suffered his second tragedy when his mother died.

Waldo assumed the role of the breadwinner to support his three sisters, and continued to do so even after getting married to his childhood sweetheart.

The early years of marriage were times of struggle, especially financially, but sheer genius, industry, discipline and perhaps faith, all helped to turn the tide in Waldo’s favor. Through his affiliation with the Catholic church, Waldo rose from rags and obscurity to riches and fame.

According to producer Brillante Mendoza, “One year in the making [itong movie] dahil kinapture niya ang mga social events sa Pampanga. So year-round ito. Major props din yung inukit na mukha ni Jesus Christ, so sinundan ang proseso [ng paggawa nun].”

For Willy, his reason for accepting the project lies in the opportunity to inspire others. “Nagmula kami sa hirap. It’s not impossible to dream big,” he says. “At the same time, we also want to promote our culture and arts sa Betis, [Pampanga].”

Mga Anino ng Kahapon - MMFF 2013 New Wave Section Movie Entry

The MMFF 2013 New Wave Section features full-length indie films, animated films as well as student films which will serve as a prelude to the main competition featuring eight entries that will open by December 25.

From December 18 to 24, 2013, five full-length indie films will be shown as part of the New Wave Section of the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

Five animation films as well as three student short films will be screened along with the full-length films at SM Megamall and Glorietta 4 including "Mga Anino ng Kahapon" starring Agot Isidro, TJ Trinidad, Carlo Cruz, Carl Acosta, Upeng Galang-Fernandez under the direction of Alvin Yapan and produced by Vim Yapan/Alem Chua Productions in partnership with Janssen Philippines

Agot Isidro plays the role of Irene - wife, mother and nurse. Irene was inspired to get into the medical profession because she saw how her own mother (also a nurse) cared for wounded rebels during Martial Law. When Irene’s husband Ed goes abroad to work, her schizophrenia is triggered, signaling the journey of Irene and her family in dealing with her condition.

TJ Trinidad plays Irene's husband, Ed, who is frustrated by his wife's denial of her disease. Young actor and commercial model Carlo Cruz is cast as Irene’s brother-in-law Carlo, child actor Carl Acosta is cast as Irene and Ed’s son Brian, and Upeng Galang-Fernandez plays Irene’s mother-in-law Flor.

The film has an important message to convey,” says Agot, who prepared for the role by watching documentaries about schizophrenia and going on an immersion at the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) in Mandaluyong.

The cast and production team were given a briefing about schizophrenia by the director of NCMH. We also visited and talked with the patients at NCMH up close. It was [an] eye-opening experience,” Agot adds.

Director Alvin Yapan explains the intense role Agot plays in the movie: “The film shows the different levels of [schizophrenia], from the mildest to the acute levels… Agot would go through all in one shooting day. She would be okay in one scene and go through a breakdown in the next!

The film was made to raise awareness about schizophrenia, erase the stigma associated with mental illness and show the struggles of patients and families living with the condition.
