Ramon Bautista Reveals Secret to a Lightning Fast Internet Connection 24/7 for only P80

I love to travel. It teaches me to live an adventure and makes my knowledge and experience of different cultures rich.

But traveling also puts me in a very discomfort situation of not doing other things closest to my heart - and that is blogging.

Wherever I go, I always make sure to stay online and connected. Providing my followers the latest happenings in showbiz is a commitment I should never fail.

But seldom do I find a place where internet is accessible 24/7. Connecting to hotel's wired connection is highly expensive while wi-fi access provides an unimaginable slow connection.

That's why I am so glad learning about SMART's most affordable and cost-effective BIG UNLI SURF 80 service.

BIG UNLISURF 80 can let you enjoy an unlimited internet access to any site through any phone for 7 days for only P80 with Opera Mini. Just text SURF to 211 and, voila! you’re connected to the world - with SMART's lightning fast internet connection for 7 days.

Thalia to Jessy Mendiola: "Thank you and good luck."

Thalia to Jessy Mendiola: "Thank you and good luck."

Mexican superstar Thalia gave a personalized message to Maria Mercedes star Jessy Mendiola.

Thalia's message was shown to advertisers during the recent ABS-CBN trade event wherein she wished Kapamilya actress Jessy Mendiola good luck in reprising her iconic role for the upcoming Pinoy adaptation of hit '90s telenovela Maria Mercedes.

"Thank you to Jessy. All the luck in the world. You’re going to make an amazing job. All the production and all the cast, good luck in Maria Mercedes," said Thalia via a taped Skype interview for the current affairs show Tapatan ni Tunying.

Jessy is the third actress to play a "Maria" role among Thalia's so-called Maria-seryes on Philippine television. Carla Abellana was GMA-7's choice to topbill its remake of Rosalinda while Erich Gonzales starred in the Philippine version of Maria la del Barrio.

Marian Rivera also reprised a Thalia role when she was chosen to play the title character in GMA-7's remake of Marimar.

Jessy is the only one who received a personalized message from Mexican superstar Thalia

"Sobrang laki ng pasasalamat ko at napakaswerte ko na mapili bilang si Maria Mercedes. Napakabait at napakaganda ni Thalia at sobra rin akong nagpapasalamat na ibinigay niya sa akin ang basbas niya. Mas lalo pa akong na-inspire na paghusayan ang pagganap ko bilang Maria Mercedes,” Jessy was quoted as saying in a release sent by ABS-CBN's corporate communications department.

Before the surprise video was shown at the trade launch, Jessy first sizzled the stage as she performed the theme song of Maria Mercedes, which she also sang and recorded, for the very first time together with her leading men Jake Cuenca and Jason Abalos.

ABS-CBN also gave advertisers a glimpse of what to expect from the show by premiering the full trailer of Maria Mercedes directed by Chito Roño.

Aside from Jessy, the Philippine version of Maria Mercedes also stars Jake Cuenca and Jason Abalos. Vina Morales stars as Magnolia, the mother of Maria Mercedes in this series.

263 Arrested Gang Sweep Caught on Violent Video

263 Arrested Gang Sweep Caught on Violent Video

263 Arrested Gang Sweep Known to be Members of Mara Salvatrucha

A nationwide sweep by federal agents targeting the violent MS-13 street gang has resulted in hundreds of arrests, including 263 gang members, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency announced Friday.

Those arrested in the July and early August sweep include suspects wanted on murder, assault, sexual assault, robbery and kidnapping charges, among other offenses, ICE said in a news release.

Among those charged are 158 members and associates of MS-13, with 105 others allegedly belonging to other gangs. Authorities arrested 84 non-gang members wanted on criminal charges and 14 people on immigration violations as part of the same sweep, according to the federal agency.

Special agents with ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations unit also seized 28 firearms, 10 kilograms of marijuana, 123 grams of cocaine, over 770 grams of heroin and about $22,400 in cash.

Agency officials describe MS-13 - also known by the name Mara Salvatrucha - as “one of the most dangerous transnational criminal gangs in the world today.”

Salvadoran immigrants fleeing that nation’s civil war started MS-13 some years ago in Los Angeles.

Mara Salvatrucha (commonly abbreviated as MS, Mara, and MS-13) is a transnational criminal gang that originated in Los Angeles and has spread to other parts of the United States, Canada, Austrialia, and Central America.

Since then, the group has grown to about 10,000 members - most of them Central and South American immigrants - operating in largely independent chapters across 42 states, according to the FBI. Authorities allege MS-13 members engage in various criminal activities, including drug trafficking, murder, rape, robbery and other crimes.

And MS-13 extends well beyond the United States, which is why many efforts to combat it have spanned borders.

In 2005, for instance, a two-day operation involving more than 6,400 government agents in the United States, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico led to 660 arrests. Some 237 of those arrests were in El Salvador, with 73 in the United States.

And last October, President Barack Obama’s administration named the organization a transnational criminal enterprise, with the goal of freezing millions of dollars in profits from drug and sex trafficking operations. - CNN

"Sunday All Stars" Prepares Exhilarating Showdown this Sunday

You’re in for a rollercoaster ride of emotions in this week’s episode of GMA 7’s Sunday All Stars as the competitive artists tackle their preferred choice of Emosyon.

According to judge Joey de Leon, last week’s best team performance award came down to a choice between Aljur Abrenica’s Ligang iLike and Sef Cadayona’s Tweethearts. In the end, Aljur and his team took the win, and the proud leader also shared the Best Performer award with Sef.

Also, the two seriously talented Best Performers will open the emotion-laden show.

After receiving rather lackluster comments from the judges last week, Tropang Trending promises to rise again, choosing “happiness” as the overall theme. Will Rachelle Ann Go be able to claim her first victory, along with her team?

Instagang also gained little favor from the judges. This time though, the group will show its feistier side with the theme “anger.” Team leader Winwyn Marquez will push Instagang into becoming more competitive this time around.

Tweethearts chose the emotion “gratitude.” How will team leader Sef show his team members’ talents while also proving that they are more than just the novelty performers that they have been known for? Sef has a few surprise guests up his sleeve, guaranteeing a different touch this week.
Entertainment ( Article MRec ), pagematch: 1, sectionmatch: 1

As for Ligang iLike, “hunger” will be the driving force behind the performance. Will Aljur be able to prove that he is not just a one-win wonder?

Judges Janno Gibbs and Jaya will be joined by Kuh Ledesma and Joey. Kuh and Jonalyn Viray will also regale us with the much-loved anthems from My Husband’s Lover.

Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson Look for Googliness in “The Internship”

Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson Look for Googliness in “The Internship”

Starring comedic duo Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, “The Internship” is a hilarious tale about two guys at the peak of their powers of salesmanship, who dare to dream against all odds.  They turn sales into an art form, and must now work that magic in a high-tech universe.

In this new world order, Billy and Nick learn that if you want a place at the table, then you have to work harder, reinvent yourself, and develop new skills at the speed of fiber optics transmissions.  Ignoring the naysayers and following their gut, Billy and Nick turn Google on its head by bringing their game to this center of the digital universe.

I think the comedy in this movie comes out of relatable situations,” Vaughn adds. “There's authenticity to Billy and Nick’s journey, in that they initially go through some tough things, which is happening to a lot of people.” Director and producer Shawn Levy echoes Vaughn’s observations on the relatability of the film’s premise. “I think this movie is astonishingly relevant,” states Levy. “There is a generation that feels it must reinvent itself. So how do you do that in order to write a next chapter?

One way of reinventing yourself is to pursue non-traditional career paths. Job seekers and employers are increasingly embracing “returnships” – return-to-work programs and internships for older professionals.  So, in some ways, Billy and Nick are part of a “Returnship.”  They are refreshing – and reapplying—their skill sets and learning new technologies, to rocket themselves back into the workplace in a big, big way.

The movie is an uplifting story with humor and idealism.  “The optimism that comes from the film’s message is that maybe there's something each generation can learn from the other.  It's a huge part of why the film is not just funny, but also timely, aspirational and hopeful,” says Vaughn.

Vaughn’s Billy McMahon is high-energy, razor-sharp, and verbally-dexterous.  When he loses the only vocation he has ever known, Billy searches the online job listings and inadvertently discovers the solution to his career conundrum –Google. “Billy gets an idea, that Google's a place where there are a lot of possibilities; it feels like a phenomenal place to work, where there are nap pods, Ping-Pong, volleyball courts and lots of places to eat – for free,” states Vaughn.

With nothing to lose and everything to gain, Billy “takes a swing for something that's far reaching or far out, but also seems like an exciting place to work,” says Vaughn.  “Billy and Nick wonder, why not take a chance at the best place to work that is filled with the most opportunities?”  Billy and Nick choose wisely.  In January 2013, Fortune magazine declared Google the best place to work, for the third time since 2007.  Google has maintained a longstanding reputation as a cool, fun and magical place to work.  Its employees love the company’s culture, mission statement and perks.  “For Billy and Nick, going to Google is like entering into the chocolate factory or traveling to Oz,” Vaughn says.

Instead of using their masterful salesmanship for personal gain, Billy and Nick use it as a way to unify the team, and more importantly, as a means to thrive at Google.  “What our characters bring is that ability, as salesmen, to connect with people,” says Wilson.  “And, do it in a genuine way.”  As underdogs in the competition, the team faces an uphill climb, but nothing that a little guts, grit and Googliness can’t handle.  “Googliness is a willingness to take chances, roll the dice, think outside the box, and be open to inspiration,” says Wilson.  “It’s a quality that everyone aspires to.”

“The Internship” lifts the curtain on Google’s innovative wizardry, offering a rare glimpse into its dynamic, trailblazing and high-tech culture.  “When I visited Google, that's when the project got exciting,” recalls Levy.  “It’s a tech company but every day they commit themselves to trying to make the world a better place.  There is a genuine altruism to its culture that is inspiring, and I wanted to depict that.

“The Internship” opens August 14 in theaters from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

The Evolution of Filipino Language Probes in CheChe Lazaro Presents

The Evolution of Filipino Language Probes in CheChe Lazaro Presents

In celebration of the national language, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas issued new P20 bills in 2010 with the citation, “Filipino as the National Language 1935,” which was allegedly imprecise.

English and Spanish were the official languages throughout the country in 1935, the year when President Manuel Quezon first professed the need for a national language. Two years later, President Quezon declared and proclaimed a national language based on Tagalog, which was called Pilipino in 1959, and Filipino in 1973 and 1987 to pacify non-Tagalogs.

Seventy six years since the Philippines adopted a national language, the Filipino language is still a subject of so much disagreement. The language of business is still English while discussions about the national language always end in an impasse. The debate over the recent proposal of the Commission on the Filipino Language to change the spelling of the country’s name from Pilipinas to Filipinas is just one of the interesting sidelights of language “politics.”

In observance of the annual Buwan ng Wika, “Cheche Lazaro Presents: Ang Wika Ko” takes an incisive look at the language that was envisioned to unify a nation of more than 7,100 islands and more than 170 living languages. At the heart of the two-hour documentary is the question: Has the Filipino truly transformed into a Philippine national language?

Drawing from her own experience as a broadcast journalist whose first investigative show “Probe” shifted from English to Filipino, Cheche Lazaro traces the bumpy journey of the national language with the help of experts and academicians who talk about the use — and misuse — of Filipino as well as the influences and different schools of thought behind the language debate.

Singer Noel Cabangon, rapper Gloc 9, and Bekimon, the face of gay lingo, enrich the discussion with their own views about language and preference for Filipino in communicating and reaching out to their audience.

At the core of every culture, language is both a rallying point and a tool to help people understand human experience and behavior. It is supposed to inspire and promote communication and tolerance, if not unity, amongst people.

How successful is Filipino in reaching these goals? What must Filipinos do to enrich the national language? A timely critique, the documentary tries to answer these questions and more.

“Ang Wika Ko” is every Filipino’s business. Don’t miss “Cheche Lazaro Presents: Ang Wika Ko” this Sunday (Agosto 18), after “Gandang Gabi Vice” on ABS-CBN’s Sunday’s Best.

Entertainment Press Writers Race Against M.O.R. 101.9 DJ in “Minute To Win It”

Entertainment Press Writers Race Against  M.O.R. 101.9 DJ in “Minute To Win It”

Instead of beating deadlines, entertainment press reporters Glen Sibonga and Demai Granali raced against time to outdo their opposing team in ABS-CBN’s top-rating game show “Minute to Win It” this week.

Glen, a columnist for tabloid “Ang Bagong Tiktik” and a contributor for PEP.ph, and his partner Demai, one of PEP.ph’s section editors, experienced firsthand the nerve-fraying mood in the studio while playing the show’s challenges.

The press duo gamely dueled against M.O.R. 101.9 DJ’s Popoy and Eva Ronda in the first part of the game show’s Head to Head Challenge where they aimed to score four points first. Glen and Demai, however, lost to the DJs and failed to play for the P1 million jackpot prize.

Demai, on a blog post on PEP.ph, wrote about her ”Minute to Win It” experience and said that what looked deceptively easy on TV was actually harder to do in real life and in the actual game. Not even a healthy amount of preparation and practice will determine the outcome of the game, she said.

“We think it’s so simple when we watch it on TV, but once you’re inside the 60-minute circle, it’s different. What other contestants say is true – nervousness, excitement, enjoyment, desire to win, and everything else get muddled when you’re playing the game. And the conditions—the cheering crowd, dancing lights—make it even harder for you to concentrate,” she wrote.

Nonetheless, I enjoyed every minute of the game. It was as if I was a child again,” Demai added.

Glen, for his part, described it as a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience and an instant bonding moment with his partner Demai.

It was a great privilege for me to join. Even if we lost, I felt that I was still a winner because I knew I could go through the challenges and share the experience with my family in the studio,” he said.

Watch “Minute to Win It” from Mondays to Fridays at 11AM on ABS-CBN. For updates on the program, visit www.facebook.com/minute2winitPH and follow @Minute2WinItPH on Twitter.

Barely two weeks after her sex video scandal with Parokya ni Edgar mainman Chito Miranda surfaced online, Neri Naig breaks her silence on the scandalous controversy.

On her instagram account @little_lulu___, Neri posted the cover of a famous Oxford World’s Classic novel The Mysteries Of Udolpho by Ann Ward Radclifffe with the caption “Her eyes were filled with tears, and the words she would have spoken faltered on her lips. Do not speak yet. I know all you would say. Your spirits must be soothed.

“You must allow yourself a little time to recover from your first shock, before you encounter the second. I will not affect to conceal from you how much I know your heart must suffer, on returning to the scene of your former happiness.

Julia Barretto's Debut Teleserye Called Racist by Viewers

Julia Barretto revealed true reason why ABS-CBN management decided not to push through with her supposed launching TV project titled "Cofradia" - a TV remake of the 1953 Gloria Romero hit movie.

The 16-year-old Star Magic talent, during her launch as the newest endorser of a teen beauty product, explained that Confradia is already replaced with a new teleserye with a fresh, original concept due to the negative comments that the remake got from viewers. “Madami po kasing nagreklamo about racism,” Julia said.

ABS-CBN and Dreamscape, they really listened sa audience, sa viewers, and everybody so they decided… na gawin na lang "Mira Bella" with an original story.” she further explained.

“Thor: The Dark World” Opens in IMAX 3D Theaters Nationwide on October 30

IMAX Corporation and Marvel Entertainment, a division of The Walt Disney Company, today announced that Marvel's “Thor: The Dark World,” starring Chris Hemsworth, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX® 3D format and released into IMAX® 3D theatres internationally (including the Philippines) beginning October 30.

Chris Hemsworth has played Thor, the god of Thunder in two highly successful Marvel films, 2011's “Thor” and 2012's “Marvel's The Avengers,” which collectively grossed nearly $2 billion at the global box office. In this latest adventure, Academy Award® winners Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins will also reprise their roles, as will Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander and Rene Russo. Alan Taylor (TV's “Game of Thrones”) will direct from a story by Don Payne and Robert Rodat, and a screenplay by Christopher L. Yost and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely.

"Like all the dynamic Marvel characters, Thor has developed a massive global following, and we look forward to moviegoers experiencing this highly anticipated next chapter in IMAX 3D," said Greg Foster, CEO of IMAX Entertainment and Senior Executive Vice President, IMAX Corp. "We're excited to continue to build on our flourishing partnership with Marvel and Disney with this iconic property."

"We continue to have great success with IMAX and are thrilled to once again work with them to bring the Marvel Universe to life in this premium format."

The IMAX release of Marvel's “Thor: The Dark World” will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX 3D Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX's customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.

Marvel's “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the nine realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel's “Thor” and “Marvel's The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos ... but an ancient race, led by the vengeful Malekith, returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Steven Seagal Talks About His Latest Movie “Maximum Conviction”

Steven Seagal Talks About His Latest Movie “Maximum Conviction”

Steven Seagal is  promoting his latest action film, Maximum Conviction, where he stars along with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin as ex-Black Ops agents defending a secret government prison from a small army of mercenaries, led by Michael Pare, trying to extract one of the inmates against their will. Maximum Conviction is one Seagal's better action films in recent years,

You haven’t done too many team ups with other action stars before Maximum Conviction. I was wondering how this came together.

Well, somebody said just take a look at this script, and this story, and I liked it. They said Steve [Austin] wants to do it, and I met him and liked him, and thought that we could be a good kind of team together. That’s sort of how it turned out. We had good chemistry together, and I thought it worked out great.
Had other opportunities to work in similar team up projects arrived at your doorstep before this?

You know, they did offer me Expendables and stuff like this. I’m sure that there have been offers in the past, and some I would make and some I wouldn’t make.

In this film, Tom Steele doesn’t put a lot of faith in the government, and I’ve noticed that that’s a recurring theme in a lot of your movies. Are you still passionate about that? Is that an issue for you.

I have faith in the military, you know I have faith in special forces, I have faith in our police departments, but it depends on… You say, “the government.” It depends on what the regime is, who’s in power at the time.

You’ve done so many action movies of so many different stripes. Do you have any favorite action sequences or fight scenes from any of your films that you feel is you at your best?

Gosh, it’s probably a few. I did like the action [in] Marked for Death, some of the sequences in that. Then in Out for Justice, the bar scene. Those are the scenes that pop to mind right now.
What makes a good action sequence in your eyes?

Well to me it’s something that’s realistic, that is not contrived, and is not kind of p*ssy, and something that people haven’t seen over and over again, you know?

You haven’t directed a film since Fire Down Below. What would it take to get you back in the director’s chair again? Or have you lost interest?

No, I haven’t been directing, and what would it take? […] If I had a great story and an offer to direct it, I would direct it.

"Maximum Conviction" is showing on August 14. nationwide. Relased and distributed by CrystalSky Multimedia.

Val Kilmer and Anthony Edwards Lend Voices to Bravo and Echo in “Disney's Planes”

Val Kilmer and Anthony Edwards Lend Voices to Bravo and Echo in “Disney's Planes”

"Top Gun" stars Val Kilmer and Anthony Edwards are voicing fighter jets named Bravo and Echo in "Disney's Planes," the "Cars" spinoff from Disney Animation. The two F-18s are called upon to help out Dusty (Dane Cook), a crop-dusting single-prop who signs up for a high-flying rally around the world.

"When you think of movies with planes, 'Top Gun' usually comes up, so it is fun to be part of this," Edwards says. "Our naval aviators are some of the best pilots in the world, and Val and I were lucky enough to get to play them twice."

Armed with stellar instincts, incredible aerial abilities and outstanding service records, Bravo and Echo are two of the Jolly Wrenches’ top troops. These fighter jets happen to be avid air-racing fans, too, with a special affinity for our hero Dusty, who’s adopted their Jolly Wrenches insignia. And as far as the racers are concerned, it doesn’t hurt to have a couple soldiers nearby should any plane falter under the immense pressure of the world’s most rigorous rally.

Dusty gets lost in the air space of an aircraft carrier that Bravo and Echo are patrolling,” says Edwards. “So we escort him back to the carrier to make sure he’s safe. I know if I were ever in trouble, I’d want these guys to have my back.”

Anthony and I were such great rivals in ‘Top Gun,’ we always had so much fun on set,” says Kilmer. “And I've always thought so highly of Anthony, especially with his success on ‘ER.’ So it was really great to find out that we would both being working together on ‘Disney’s Planes.’

Edwards is probably best known as Dr. Mark Greene on the hit series “ER.” For his portrayal of the overworked, but dedicated emergency room doctor, Edwards received four Emmy® nominations, won three Screen Actors Guild Awards®, and won a Golden Globe® Award. Edwards made his return to series television in 2013 with ABC’s adventure-drama “Zero Hour.”

Edwards has starred in more than 20 features, including his memorable turn as Goose in the blockbuster feature “Top Gun.” Other feature film credits include David Fincher’s “Zodiac,” “Flipped” and “The Client.” He will be seen on the big screen in Michael Polish’s “Big Sur,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Meanwhile, Kilmer is one of the most prolific actors of his generation. From his more recent work as a career military officer in David Mamet’s “Spartan,” back through his work with Oliver Stone in “The Doors” and Michael Mann in “Heat,” to his early work in “Top Gun,” Kilmer has worked with many of film’s most respected directors and actors. He adds to that impressive list two new films: Millennium’s “Bad Lieutenant,” with Nicolas Cage and directed by Werner Herzog; and “Streets of Blood,” with Sharon Stone and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. Kilmer recently completed principal photography on the new Francis Ford Coppola movie “Twixt Now and Sunrise.”

Other recent projects include “Déjà Vu,” an action-thriller produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Films for Touchstone Pictures in which Kilmer stars with Denzel Washington and Jim Caviezel; and “Kiss, Kiss Bang, Bang,” written and directed by Shane Black, and co-starring Robert Downey Jr.

Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International, “Planes” takes off in Philippine theaters in 3D on Aug. 21, and will be presented in Disney Digital 3D™ in select cinemas.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson Back in "Kick-Ass 2"

Aaron Taylor-Johnson Back in "Kick-Ass 2"

By the end of the sequel, Kick-Ass has to become the action hero we knew he was from day one. For this chapter, Taylor-Johnson once again showed great dedication in getting into serious shape.  Indeed, he worked out religiously and maintained an appropriately strict diet throughout production.

Jeff Wadlow appreciated how Taylor-Johnson looked at the production as a whole and did not simply focus on his own appearance.  Sums the director: “Aaron was figuring out when we were going to shoot those scenes so that he would look how he needed to, and it would be a contrast to the way he looked in the beginning of the film.  It was so impressive because, again, he was always thinking about the story; he wasn’t thinking about how he looked on screen.  He was thinking, ‘How can I serve this story and help the audience understand this journey?’

Since there’s been talk of it again, will there finally be a Kick-Ass sequel?

It’s pretty much set to go, this Fall.  I think now Chloe [Grace Moretz] and Chris [Mintz-Plasse] are on board.  I’m certainly set up to do it.  Jeff Wadlow is to direct.  Yeah, I think it’s going to happen.

Have you gotten to see a script yet?

Yeah, I have.

Will it be a hard R, as far as the rating goes?

Oh, yeah!  It keeps the standard, from the first film.

Are you surprised at how much people have been asking for a sequel to that film, really since the release of the first one?

Yeah, and I think that’s why Matthew Vaughn has got his name all over this one, as well.  The only way he was ever going to make a sequel was if it could be anywhere close to the first one, and keep that class and that quality, and just maintain something original and new and refreshing.  And this script delivers all of that, right now.  I’m excited to get back in the suit.
Have you heard the recent talk about American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis vying on Twitter to do the screenplay adaptation for 50 Shades of Grey, and that he said he’d love to have a real actor, like you or Ryan Gosling for the male lead, with someone like David Cronenberg directing? Is it surreal to know that you have a certain level of visibility now that someone like Bret Easton Ellis respects your work and is thinking about you in that role?

You can only be very grateful.  It’s great when talented people in the world, in the same business, can see your work and compliment you on what you’re doing and take a strong interest in the movements in your career.  It is very great to see that.  At least it keeps the studio heads thinking, as well.  Maybe it makes you a bit more bankable.  I don’t know.

"Kick-Ass 2" is still showing in theaters nationwide. Released and distributed by United International Pictures through Solar Entertainment Corporation.
