ABS-CBN Launches Christmas Campaign “Lumiliwanag ang Mundo sa Kwento ng Pasko”
ABS-CBN signaled the start of an early Christmas for Kapamilyas as it launched its Christmas campaign last Wednesday (October 17) via the ceremonial lighting of the ABS-CBN compound and the much awaited premiere and Twitter-trending premiere of the this year’s Christmas station ID.
In a ceremony held in front ABS-CBN’s Chapel of the Annunciation, ABS-CBN President and COO Charo Santos-Concio acknowledged the importance of Christmas as a timely celebration that caps every year off full of positivity and hope. She said, “Dito sa ating bansa, ang bawat taong nagdaan ay mayroong kalamidad. Mabuti na lamang at bawat taon ay nagtatapos sa isang Pasko na nagsisindi ng ilaw ng pag-asa at pagdadamayan.”
For ABS-CBN Chairman and CEO Eugenio Lopez III, Christmas is the culmination of the year’s hard work and all Filipinos strive for. “No matter what, Christmas refreshes the Filipino spirit. Ang Pasko ang nagpapatibay sa mga Pilipino. Ang Pasko ay isang tradisyong pinagpapaguran ninyo para maging masaya, mahalaga, at makahulugan sa inyong mga kapamilya.”
With the theme “Lumiliwanag ang Mundo sa Kwento ng Pasko,” ABS-CBN’ Christmas campaign aims to honor modern day heroes this Christmas season who shared the light through selfless acts of kindness when the country was struck with calamities such as the habagat.
The network also aims to inspire others to share the light and brighten someone’s Christmas story in their own simple ways. The Christmas station ID is only one of the many components of ABS-CBN’s nationwide Christmas campaign for 2012. The campaign also includes the Kapamilya Simbang Gabi, parol selling, viewer promo, and the annual Christmas special.
