Kim Kardashian - Kris Humphries Wedding Details

Posted by JED on Saturday, August 20, 2011 , under | comments (1)

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries wedding on Saturday, August 20, is going to be an event to remember.

Access Hollywood reports that in Montecito, California, where the wedding ceremony will be taking place, the not-so-secret nuptials are being referred to as "Project W." Still, in an attempt to protect Kim and Kris' privacy, the wedding planner sent out requests to nearby residents asking them to cover up their address numbers.

Ironically, no one has leaked as many details as the bride-to-be herself, with the help of her Twitter account and blog, plus indirectly through tons of paparazzi shots that show her looking fab while running pre-wedding errands. Reality star Kim, has let everything slip from her wedding dress designer to the scent she'll wear as she weds NBA player Kris, 26.

Here are some of the exciting and much-awaited details of the big day:

THE INVITATION

Forget about simple stationery! Kim had her invitations designed by Lehr & Black, the go-to peeps for celebrity unions. The company has also created wedding invites for Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Fergie and Josh Duhamel, and Kim's sister Khloe and Lamar Odom. People reports the fancy-schmancy black-and-white invitation arrived in its own box covered with - get this - jet black hematite crystals. It also specified that guests were to "wear black or white" to the black-tie affair.

THE GUEST LIST

Five hundred were on the guest list, but Life & Style claims that space restrictions being enforced by the fire marshal required Kim to disinvite 50 guests days before the ceremony. Famous faces expected to attend include Demi Lovato - who'll be spending her 19th birthday at the wedding - plus "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" producer Ryan Seacrest, Kris Jenner's friend Kathie Lee Gifford, and Kim's pals Venus and Serena Williams, La La Vazquez, Ciara, Nicole Richie, and Justin Bieber. A-listers Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham also merited an invite. But don't expect to see Kelly Ripa sitting on the bride's side. The talk show host declined, saying she'll be out of town.

THE VENUE

The wedding will take place at an estate near the Four Seasons Resort: The Biltmore in Santa Barbara, where guests will stay. According to Extra, it's a $20 million, Spanish-style mansion that belongs to the CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, and once belonged to Ellen DeGeneres. The beautiful home will be adorned with decorations in line with the color scheme of silver, white, and black, including white roses that are reportedly being flown in from Africa.

THE DRESS

Ah, the piece de resistance! It's no surprise here that Kim entrusted family friend and wedding dress designer to the stars, Vera Wang, with her gown. "When it came to picking my wedding dress designer she was the first person I thought of," Kim blogged. "No one designs gowns the way she does!" Photographers snapped Kim's famous curves heading into fittings, and she confessed to spending 11 hours flying for a three hours in one last fitting with Vera in NYC about a week before her wedding. Because of the request that guests wear black or white - the latter of which is usually a fashion faux pas at weddings - there's been speculation that Kim's dress will be an attention-grabbing color. Kourtney Kardashian confused us more when she tweeted the bridesmaids dresses would be green.

Tyra Banks claims to have seen photos of the finished product - and the "America's Next Top Model" creator approves. "What she showed me was so beautiful," Banks told People. "It's interesting because they were pictures from a fitting, but it actually looked like the wedding, like her hair was done. So it was like a real almost dress rehearsal and she looked absolutely beautiful."

Another clue: Kim admitted to Ryan Seacrest's radio show Friday that designer pal Nicole Richie helped persuade her to choose something "classic" and "Old Hollywood" ... and that there might be more than one gown for the event.

No matter what, expect to see petite Kim in her fave Christian Louboutin heels. At 5'2", she's got to keep up with her 6'9" fiance!

THE SCENT

Leave it to Kim to create a limited edition fragrance called Love by Kim Kardashian. Only 1,000 crystal-encrusted bottles of the perfume, which sell for $100 a pop, were made for the occasion. "My fragrance will be a keepsake I can keep for years, and I am excited to be able to share it with my fans," the reality star said.

THE WEDDING PARTY

As you would expect, the brunette beauty's family will be co-starring - make that supporting her - as she says "I do" for the second time. Like Khloe, Kim has asked stepdad Bruce Jenner to walk her down the aisle. Sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie have also revealed that they'll be bridesmaids. Since this will be a TV special, we expect to see other famous faces standing beside the bride and groom, including Kardashian brother, Rob, Kourtney's boyfriend Scott Disick, and Khloe's husband Lamar Odom. Even little Mason has got a role in the event: the adorable 20-month-old son of Kourtney and Scott will serve as ringbearer.

THE CARS

You didn't expect all those stars to drive themselves to the wedding, did you? TMZ reports that Kim's hired a fleet of white Rolls Royce Phantoms and Maybachs from Platinum Motorsport in L.A., each with a chauffeur, so family and VIP guests can ride in style.

THE FIRST DANCE

At the reception, the newlyweds will perform a dance choreographed by Kim's former "Dancing With the Stars'" partner, Mark Ballas. The song, however, is still a mystery... maybe even to Kim herself! Only two weeks before the wedding, she tweeted out an S.O.S asking for help selecting the all-important tune. While Kim later wrote a thank you to fans for suggestions like "I Will Always Love You," "At Last," and "When a Man Loves a Woman," she hasn't revealed which one she's chosen.

THE CAKE

Once again, Kim followed Khloe's lead and chose a confection from Hansen's Cakes in Los Angeles. She was spotted tasting at the shop with both her groom-to-be and mom Kris Jenner. In the end, the couple chose a 10-tiered white cake with chocolate chip icing and black-and-white decorations, which according to Us Weekly, cost somewhere in the range between $15,000 and $20,000! Kim was reportedly inspired by the dessert served at Prince William and Kate Middleton royal wedding, but this is sure to be the real royal wedding in Hollywood!

Good news! Fans will have the chance to see the entire wedding event. The ceremony will be recorded for a two-night, four-hour wedding special titled "Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event" set to air on Sunday, October 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and on Monday, October 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on E!.

UAAP Season 75 Found its New Home at SM Mall of Asia Arena

Posted by JED on , under | comments (0)

UAAP Season 75 will have its new home!

The SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, which has a full capacity of 20,000, is gearing up to give the University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) fans a never-before seen basketball watching experience as it becomes the host venue of UAAP's 75th Season.

National University, which will host the premier varsity league's season next year, announced during a press launch on Wednesday at the SMX Convention Center that the SM MOA Arena will host not just the league opening but also majority of the elimination round games.

This decision, according to soon-to-be UAAP President Nilo Ocampo, was expected given NU's affiliation with SM Group of Companies, which is now a majority holder of the university.

NU Athletics Director Junel Baculi said, "We want students and schools to take part in the action. We don' want to limit the excitement to the players."

Baculi added that NU, which is now owned by the Sy family of SM Supermalls, gave up this year's UAAP hosting to Ateneo to get the chance to host it next year at the MOA Arena which will open in May next year.

Erl Orenza, SM MOA Arena's Assistant Vice President for Events, says, "All seats can be considered prime spots. Plus, the amenities include big parking space, corporate suites and state-of-the-art technology facilities."

Will Sam Concepcion and Coleen Garcia Give Their Romance a Second Chance in “Good Vibes”?

Posted by JED on , under | comments (0)

The entanglement among love teams gets increasingly unpredictable and thrilling in “Good Vibes” as the hip teen dance drama nears its finale.

On Sunday, August 21, episode, it will become apparent that the characters played by Sam Concepcion and Coleen Garcia have not moved on from their ruined relationship.

Marc will accidentally kiss Monique on the forehead, and the former sweethearts will have a confrontation as to why Monique is with Ralion, the leader of their rival group Automatic Groove. Will jealousy finally rekindle what they feel for each other?

What will now become of Marc’s budding romance with Ara (Yen Santos), who hints to him that she already wants them to become “official”?

Ara becomes all the more provoked as she gets envious of Maribeth (Devon Seron) and Spencer (James Reid), who recently have become an “official” couple.

As James’ character Spencer gets popular and well-admired in the show, the former “teenternational” Pinoy Big Brother housemate James revealed he has learned a lot from the program. He not only enjoyed the show’s taping every week, his whole acting stint was also a learning experience.

“My dancing has improved a lot because I’ve been exposed to great dancers like Sam and Aaron (Villaflor). Also it has allowed me to slowly adjust to acting in Tagalog,” he said.

Meanwhile, “Good Vibes” continues to dominate in the national TV ratings race, according to global media specialist Kantar Media. The teen dance drama obtained a 9.5 percent rating, while GMA 7’s contender “Tween Hearts” only gained 8.2 percent.

Warner Bros. Surpasses $2 Billion at the International Box Office

Posted by JED on , under | comments (0)

Burbank, CA, August 18, 2011 - Warner Bros. Pictures International has crossed the $2 billion threshold at the international box office, as it gears up for a fourth quarter that includes such highly anticipated releases as Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion, Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar, George Miller’s Happy Feet Two, Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows, and Garry Marshall’s New Year’s Eve, among others. The Division hits this benchmark for the fourth time. The announcement was made today by Veronika Kwan-Rubinek, President of International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

This achievement follows the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, the final adventure in the blockbuster film series, which smashed international records to become not only the biggest Harry Potter film but the highest grossing film of the year and the third-highest international release of all time, with an astounding $857 million and counting. The Studio kicked off the summer with Todd Phillips’ The Hangover Part II, which beat its predecessor to gross $327 million internationally and become the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time; followed by the surprise comedy hit Horrible Bosses, which to date has grossed over $35 million internationally, with many markets still to open.

Even beyond the amazing performance of our final Harry Potter film, this has been a spectacular year for the Studio,” Kwan-Rubinek said. “These incredible numbers are a testament to the diverse and powerful mix of films that our studio releases, along with the hard work and insight of our international distribution teams around the world. We’re tremendously gratified to reach this benchmark with so many exciting films yet to come.”

Reaching this number so early in the year is an incredible achievement for our Studio,” said Sue Kroll, Warner Bros. Pictures’ President, Worldwide Marketing. “We could not have done it without the care and ingenuity of our marketing teams around the world, who have delivered inspired campaigns for every release, from staging a global event for Harry Potter to making each of our wide variety of films into hits. We’re thrilled with these results and look forward to the rest of our 2011 slate.”

Warner Bros Pictures International has been the market leader in six of the last 10 years. The Division has surpassed $1 billion in grosses a total of 14 years, 11 of which were consecutive years, and crossed $2 billion four times, including 2004, 2007, 2010 and 2011. At $2.93 billion, last year’s record remains the highest ever international gross for a single studio. This year, the Division crossed the $2 billion threshold two months ahead of its record for last year.

Jennifer Aniston Honored at Hollywood Walk of Fame

Posted by JED on , under | comments (0)

A day before the recent U.S. opening of her new comedy, "Horrible Bosses," Jennifer Aniston's hands and feet were immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"All actors who want to do this, it's really, really fun, but you really, really have to want to do it, (because) there's all sorts of stuff that comes along with it," Aniston told the crowd outside Grauman's Chinese Theater. "But man, I have to tell you, I never in my wildest dreams though that I'd be sticking my body in cement."

Aniston, 42, rose to fame as the sweet and slightly naive Rachel on "Friends," but "Horrible Bosses" finds the actress going in a very different direction, playing a dentist and sexual predator. In fact, she so mercilessly pursues one of her hygienists, played by Charlie Day, that he and his two friends, played by Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis, make a pact to kill each others' bosses.

Bateman was on hand to sing her praises. "I don't feel nearly as lucky as the sidewalk, because the sidewalk - for years long after we're all gone - gets to now include, poured into its rigid cement, a woman whose spirit is every bit as solid, whose integrity is every bit as unbreakable and whose body is every bit as hard," Bateman said.

(Opening across the Philippines in September, “Horrible Bosses” is a New Line Cinema film, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.)

New Words Added in Oxford English Dictionary

Posted by JED on , under | comments (1)

New words 'Sexting,' 'Woot,' and 'Retweet' are the words recently recognized and included in the newly-released edition of the Oxford English Dictionary (OED).

Those social media and web-related terms are just among the 400 new words added to the 12th edition of the Concise Oxford English Dictionary .

Other words such as "textspeak" and "cyberbullying" are also in the dictionary's latest edition.

According to OED 12th edition editor Angus Stevenson, the creativity of today's Internet-using generation has given birth to a range of unusual sounding words.

"....the preoccupations of today's Generation Y have opened the door to some equally colourful vocabulary – how about momo, noob, nurdle, and woot?" he said.

"Google," "iPod," "podcasting" are already in the dictionary.

The Oxford English Dictionary also noted that technology has given new meanings to old terms like the word "friend" which is now also defined as "a contact on a social networking website" because of the success of social networking site Facebook.

The word "follower," on the other hand, is now also defined as "someone who is tracking a particular person, group, etc. on a social networking site."

Paulo Avelino Dream Leading Lady is Kim Chiu

Posted by JED on , under | comments (0)

Paulo Avelino, who left GMA-7 and signed an exclusive three-year contract with ABS-CBN (reas related article HERE), talks about what he is looking forward to now that he is a certified Kapamilya and expresses his excitement and desire to work in a new environment for a project that will show his versatility with actors that could challenge and help him hone his acting skills and a leading lady to inspire him to do more.

Very excited po ako sa bagong environment, bagong mga tao. Kapag ganun lagi akong napu-push sa limits ko. Thankful and happy ako na ABS-CBN accepted me.

Paulo clarified.

He's a good host. No one can deny that. But Luis Manzano's TV career wouldn't stop from there. He now plans to spread even further his career...in acting.

So, aside from hosting a talent reality show Pilipinas Got Talent and showbiz oriented talk show Entertainment Live!, Luis will now join the teleserye bandwagon as he is set to star in the upcoming ABS-CBN's soap tentatively titled "Muling Buksan Ang Puso" with Angelica Panganiban, Sam Milby, Zanjoe Marudo, KC Concepcion and Gretchen Barretto.

In the works na yung soap. May nakita nga akong tweet ng headwriter ng show na patapos na raw sulatin yung pilot episode. So malapit na magsimula yun.” he revealed.

Si Angelica nakasama ko na sa Rounin. Tapos Dyosa boys yung dalawa pang male stars, sina Sam and Zanjoe. Si KC nagkasama kami sa isang episode ng I am KC noon. It’s my first time to work with Gretchen. But I’ve watched her on Magkaribal and I’ve interviewed her a few times sa E-Live, so I feel that we’d get along easily.” the actor-host detailed.

Luis will also do a movie project with Star Cinema titled "Tuhog". The said movie, reportedly, will star Pokwang and Maria La Del Barrio stars Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee.

May movies na nakahanda with Star Cinema and Viva Films. Medyo pangit pakinggan pero isipin niyo po muna bago niyo husgahan. Ang title ng movie na prinesent sa akin ay Tuhog. Weird kasi green pakinggan, pero may relevance ang story. Basta nothing sexual or romantic, iba yung atake. Hindi ko pa masyadong ma-explain kung anong genre niya. Tignan na lang natin how it will play out.” he said.

Anne Curtis Dress at Philippine Fashion Ball 2011

Posted by JED on , under | comments (12)

Anne Curtis is Anne Curtis - glamorous, sophisticated and elegant.

And to prove that, she again stole the scene in last Monday's 1st Annual Philippine Fashion Ball at the Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati City.

Anne arrived with her boyfriend Erwan Heusaff wearing a daring Rajo Laurel cutout dress with her hair tied back in a slick ponytail and a pair of black diamond earrings from Jul B. Dizon . Her face looked fresh with very little makeup and ruby red colored lips. To complete her look, Anne toted in one hand a white clutch purse from Chanel.

Her black Rajo Laurel gown had a turtle neckline and long sleeves. The velvet parts left almost nothing to the imagination as her cleavage, parts of her tummy, the entire sides of her body (from underarm down to her legs), and her backside were all tastefully exposed.

What do you think of Anne in her black Rajo Laurel gown? Hot? Hotter? Hottest?

"The Walking Dead's” Emma Bell Stars in “Final Destination 5”

Posted by JED on , under | comments (1)

Best known for Frank Darabont’s hit drama series “The Walking Dead,” and on the big screen in the chilling thriller “Frozen,” young actress Emma Bell now stars in New Line Cinema's “Final Destination 5” - the fifth installment of the successful horror franchise.

Bell has an ethereal look, a vulnerable beauty that helped to make the death of her character in the television series “The Walking Dead” one of the show's most memorable and agonizing moments, when she is killed by her own sister to prevent her from joining the zombie army. As soon as the filmmakers read her for the role in “Final Destination 5,” they knew she was perfect for the character of Molly, the romantic interest to Nicholas D'Agosto's Sam. “She’s fantastic,” says producer Craig Perry. “When we were going through the casting process and her name came up, we jumped at it. Emma has incredible eyes - she can sell a whole scene without saying a word.

In the film, Death is just as omnipresent as ever, first revealing its menacing reality to a group of coworkers headed for a corporate retreat. During the bus ride, Sam (D’Agosto) has a premonition in which he and most of his friends, as well as numerous others, die in a horrific bridge collapse. When his vision ends, events begin to mirror what he had seen, and he frantically ushers as many of his colleagues - including his friend, Peter (Miles Fisher), and girlfriend, Molly (Bell) - away from the disaster before Death can claim them. But these unsuspecting souls were never supposed to survive and, in a terrifying race against time, the ill-fated group tries to discover a way to escape Death’s sinister agenda.

As Death casts its net around Sam’s nearest and dearest, no one is excused from its macabre plan - except maybe the love of his life. Molly is a sweet girl who’s deeply in love with her boyfriend but feeling that their life paths are moving in two different directions.

Weighing in on Molly, Bell offers, “She lives in a small town and she’s very comfortable with that. I don’t think she ever really dreamed of moving to a city, or wanted to be part of something more. She’s in love with Sam – who dreams of moving to Paris to become a chef - but she knows that he dreams bigger than she ever could, and isn’t sure how to balance her love for him without holding him back from pursuing his goals. Molly knows that, given the choice, Sam would pick her over going to Paris. But she doesn’t want to put him in that situation, so she makes that choice for him.”

Bell also notes that with this installment, the story holds genuine emotional weight. “What makes the `Final Destination' movies great is that they are not your usual stalker film,” she says. “Yes, the characters are certainly being stalked, but there’s no physical killer, no man chasing you with a knife. The killer is Death itself - it’s an abstraction - and that's what makes it impossible to escape. In our movie, the characters are also really engaged in a moral struggle, as well as fighting to stay alive, and that gives the story greater substance.”

Opening across the Philippines on Aug. 24 in 3D and regular format, “Final Destination 5” is distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Jason Segel Pursues Cameron Diaz in “Bad Teacher”

Posted by JED on , under | comments (0)

Comic actor Jason Segel plays the irreverent gym coach Russell Gettis whose romantic advances to teacher Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz) fall on deaf ears, in Columbia Pictures’ raunchy comedy “Bad Teacher.”

In the film, Elizabeth Halsey is a teacher who just doesn’t give an F. She’s foul-mouthed, ruthless, and wildly inappropriate. She drinks, she gets high, and she can’t wait to marry her meal ticket and walk away from her day job teaching middle school. When she’s dumped by her fiancĂ©, she sets her plan in motion to win over a rich, handsome substitute (Justin Timberlake). Elizabeth’s outrageous schemes and their wild consequences will shock her students, her coworkers, and even herself.

Russell is just a happy-go-lucky guy,” says Segel of his character. “He’s just enjoying life and looking for other people who can hang. I think that’s why he gets along with Elizabeth – if she’d just let her guard down.

How can he keep getting turned down by Elizabeth but keep coming back for more? “He’s just not fazed by rejection,” says Segel. “In fact, there’s something safe about flirting with a girl who tells you right from the beginning that it is never going to happen: there’s no risk. Women can keep saying no – all he needs is one to say yes.

Jason is hilarious, but he plays the only normal person in the entire movie,” says co-screenwriter Lee Eisenberg. “He can call out Elizabeth on her stuff, he can react when she says something ridiculous. He grounds the movie.”

Jason Segel landed his first major picture starring role as Peter in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” which he also wrote. Released in 2008, the film went to make over $100 million worldwide. With Segel’s writing skills now in demand by many studios, he was inspired to fulfill a personal idea and passion by pitching his concept for a Muppet movie. He and Nicholas Stoller would co-write the screenplay for the upcoming film “The Muppets,” in which Segel also stars. The film will be released by Disney this Thanksgiving.

In June 2007, Segel was summoned by Judd Apatow to share the great success of the comedy “Knocked Up” with stars Seth Rogen, Katherine Heigl, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann. The film grossed over $140 million dollars domestically and won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Movie Comedy.

In 2009, Segel rejoined Rudd in the hit comedy “I Love You, Man.”

Opening across the Philippines August 31, “Bad Teacher” is distributed by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International. Visit www.sonypictures.com.ph to see the latest trailers, get free downloads and play free movie games.

20th Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios Announce “Ice Age: Continental Drift” Casting

Posted by JED on , under | comments (0)

20th Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios recently announced the voice cast for ICE AGE: CONTINENTAL DRIFT, the fourth entry in Blue Sky’s blockbuster franchise, which has grossed over $4 billion in all media.

Ray Romano is back as Manny, the woolly mammoth and the herd’s “Big Daddy”; Queen Latifah returns as Ellie - Manny’s significant other; Denis Leary rejoins the herd as the saber-toothed tiger Diego; John Leguizamo is at it again as the terminally goofy sloth, Sid; and Seann William Scott and Josh Peck reprise possums Crash & Eddie.

Joining the ever-growing Ice Age family for Continental Drift is a stellar lineup, including Jeremy Renner, an Academy Award nominee for “The Hurt Locker” and “ The Town” (and whose upcoming films include “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” and “The Bourne Legacy”), who portrays Gutt, a self-styled master of the high seas who’s determined to make Manny, Sid and Diego part of his crew; Wanda Sykes as Sid’s stowaway Granny, who causes all sorts of problems for our heroes; Aziz Ansari as Squint, a prehistoric rabbit who fancies himself a tough guy; actress-pop music star Keke Palmer as Peaches, Manny and Ellie’s headstrong teenage daughter; hip hop sensation Drake as Ethan, a handsome young woolly mammoth who has his eye on Peaches – and Jennifer Lopez as Shira, a sabre-toothed tigress who melts Diego’s heart.

Also taking on starring roles are Heather Morris (“Glee”), Joy Behar, Nicki Minaj, Josh Gad, Alan Tudyk, Nick Frost, Kunal Nayyar, Alain Chabat and JB Smoove.

Also returning is Scrat (again voiced by Chris Wedge), who in the first Ice Age emerged as a movie icon. In “Ice Age: Continental Drift,” Scrat’s nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he’s been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences - a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid. In the wake of these earth-shattering upheavals, Sid reunites with his long lost family, and the gang encounters a ragtag menagerie of colorful new characters determined to stop them from returning home.

“Ice Age: Continental Drift” is directed by Steve Martino and Michael Thurmeier, and produced by Lori Forte and John Donkin.

Twentieth Century Fox releases the animated comedy event, in 3D on 2012, July 13 in international markets and July 5 in the Phils.

Shamcey Supsup Confident She Can Win Miss Universe 2011 Title

Posted by JED on , under | comments (11)

Shamcey Supsup may be feeling the pressure but said she'd rather be inspired by Venus Raj's fourth place finish in the Miss Universe pageant last year.

"Siyempre may pressure din. But ginagamit ko naman siya in a positive way," the Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2011 said in a taped interview aired on "The Buzz" on Sunday

Despite the expected tight competition, Shamcey believes that she can bring home the Miss Universe crown.

“Of course lagi kong sinasabi, if we are destined to win, we will get the crown. I believe I’ve worked hard. I have the discipline. I’m determined and with the support of everyone, I believe we have a chance,” the 24-year-old University of the Philippines magna cum laude graduate said.

Supsup said she is constantly undergoing trainings to prepare for the international pageant which will be held in Brazil next month.

Madami pa. Siyempre nandoon yung mga walking training, catwalk with past beauty queens like Venus Raj. Lately I had a training with Karen Agustin. Tinuruan niya ako ng mga kinds of poses, kung paano i-move ang head. Ang dami daming trainings and I think may mga susunod pa,” she shared.

Sa akin it’s more on mental and emotional preparation. Kasi maraming nagsasabi, sa Miss Universe a lot of beautiful girls, intelligent girls. How will you stand out? So dapat you have to have that self confidence."

As she flies to Brazil, Shamcey said she will take with her the support of those who love and believe in her.

Sometimes nakakatakot na pupunta ako [na] mag-isa lang doon. Wala akong kasama. Ang layo. Parang opposite sides of the world. More than 24 hours daw 'yung biyahe at ako lang. Lahat ng bagahe ko ako ang magdadala," she said.

"Ang lucky charm ko is the people who support and love me. Alam ko na whatever happens there, nandoon pa rin sila."
