During the show's presscon last Tuesday, Cristine said she actually welcomes this decision and treat it in a positive way.
"Hindi po. Actually noong nalaman ko na hapon ito, natuwa pa ako kasi wow gagawin nilang panghatak ang reputasyon para lalong mas lumakas ang panghapon. Hindi iyon para makita ko as negative side. Mas positive iyon para sa akin," she said.
"When you're moving on there's so much blessings. I'm so busy with work and ngayon ko napagtutuunan uli na alagaan ang sarili ko and siguro I can say after 'yung bagyong dumating sa akin, ang good riddance ay be busy and beautiful." she said
"Hindi ako 'yung tipo ng tao na kahit hindi maganda ang kinahinatnan nito eh magdu–dwell ako on being negative. I want to be positive and 'yun ang gusto kong pagtuunan ng pansin," she explained.
She added that her past experiences also taught her to deal with breakups better. "Ako ipinapasa-Diyos ko na lang lahat. Ang natutunan ko kapag marami kang baggage sa puso mo at ikaw mismo ang nagdadala non, makikita sa aura ng tao. So ngayon ako natutunan ko na isumbong lahat sa Kanya. Nung isumbong ko lahat sa Kanya, para masaya ako ngayon, hindi ako nasi-stress, wala akong wrinkles 'di ba? Mahal ang pampa-beauty."
Aiko also said that she welcomes suitors but it might take some time before she decides to be in another commitment. "There's nothing wrong kung magpalipad-hangin, pero hanggang dyan muna sila and kung makakaantay sila sa panahon na okay na okay na ako, na fulfill na ako sa career ko, sa mga anak ko, tsaka ulit ako sasabak."

Jared Harris (TV’s “Mad Men,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”) joins the cast as the notorious Professor Moriarty. Also joining the cast, in her first English-speaking role, is Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, who gained international attention in the Swedish film “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.” Stephen Fry (“Alice in Wonderland,” “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”) plays Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock’s older brother.

Fresh from its strong nationwide ratings performance in the first semester of the year, broadcast industry leader GMA Network, Inc. (GMA-7) further expanded its nationwide lead over its closest competitor ABS-CBN this month.
According to Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, the most widely trusted industry ratings service provider, GMA-7 posted a vital margin of 3.1 share points over ABS-CBN this July 1 to 7 (July 3 to 7 based on overnight data).
During this period, GMA-7 garnered 34.5 points while ABS-CBN received 31.4 points.
For the first six months of the year, GMA was the number one channel in the whole Philippines with 33.1 household share points, a point higher than ABS-CBN's 32.1.
GMA-7's lead was attributed to its programming lineup airing across all time blocks, especially on weekday afternoons.
For the covered period, GMA-7 scored a 5.3-percent margin in channel ratings for the block running from noon to 6:00 p.m.
Television’s longest running weekday noontime variety program "Eat Bulaga" continues its overwhelming lead over Kapamilya’s "Happy Yihee Yehey" (HYY), which only managed less than half of its channel ratings performance.
"Eat Bulaga," which ranked 9th in the list of top 10 programs in National Urban Philippines, garnered 22 household rating points against HYY’s 9.8 points.
GMA Entertainment TV’s "Dramarama sa Hapon" — composed of programs "Blusang Itim," "Sinner or Saint," and "Sisid," and hit Koreanovela "Playful Kiss" — has become part of the Filipinos’ afternoon viewing habit.
In Urban Luzon and Mega Manila, which comprise 77% and 58% of total television households nationwide, GMA-7 almost swept the lists of overall top 10 programs with nine entries in respective areas.
GMA-7’s big budgeted epicserye "Amaya" starred by primetime queen Marian Rivera led the lists of most watched programs in both areas.
The other GMA-7 programs that made it to the lists include "Munting Heredera," "Eat Bulaga," "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho," "Captain Barbell," "24 Oras," "Spooky Nights Presents Nuno sa Feng Shui," "Kap’s Amazing Stories" and "Pepito Manaloto."
GMA-7’s flagship newscast "24 Oras" was notably the only newscast in the top 10 programs for both areas.
For the month of June, "24 Oras" garnered 23.1 household rating points in Urban Luzon beating "TV Patrol's" 20.9 by 2.2 points.
In Mega Manila, the gap was even bigger at 3.1 points with 23.8 versus 20.7 in favor of the Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco- anchored "24 Oras" news program.
For partial July, eight GMA-7 entries made it to the list of top 15 programs in National Urban Philippines; and 10 GMA-7 entries in the list of top 15 programs in Urban Luzon.
Both lists were dominated by Kapuso primetime programs, which posted a 6.2-point lead over counterpart Kapamilya programs in Luzon with 36.5 household shares versus ABS-CBN's 30.3; and a 7.9-point margin with 37.3 household shares for GMA-7 as against 29.4 for ABS-CBN in Mega Manila.
The Nielsen TV Audience Measurement used by GMA-7 is used by 21 companies including two other local networks, namely, TV5 and Solar Entertainment; Faulkner Media; CBN Asia; 13 advertising agencies and three regional clients.
On the other hand, ABS-CBN is the only local major TV network reportedly subscribing to Kantar Media, formerly known as TNS.
In Mega Manila alone, the Nielsen TV Audience Measurement has a sample size of 880 homes as compared to Kantar Media's 770 homes. Nationwide, Nielsen has a total sample size of 2,005 homes compared to the lower sample size of 1,370 utilized by Kantar Media.
The poll which was conducted by MTV, also cited the death of Hogwarts headmaster Professor Dumbledore as the most unforgettable moment in the series, winning 51 percent of the almost 36,000 votes cast.
Dumbledore's demise easily outstripped the smooch between Harry Potter and girlfriend Cho Chang in "The Order of the Phoenix".
Hermione Granger's time turner was voted the magical device most fans wish really existed, with Harry's invisibility cloak coming in a close second.
Neville Longbottom topped the poll for the character that fans thought should get a spin-off movie or book, closely followed by Luna Lovegood.
After seven books and with the eighth and final movie, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" closes an era for millions of moviegoers as it opens in theaters worldwide this week.
From a far 32nd in 2010, Sam made a huge jump straight to the top spot this year courtesy of text, print and online votes. Pinto consistently dominated the list’s unofficial tally in its final weeks.
For Sam, sexy goes beyond merely having a curvy figure.
“A lot of people think being sexy is physical: having big boobs, big butt, curvy. But for me, it's not just that. You can be sexy by being confident, being yourself, being happy for who you are,” Sam said.
Pinto is grateful to all who supported her in grabbing the FHM plum.
“Sa lahat talaga ng tao na nag-support, grabe. Grabe. Sobrang... para sa kanila 'to,” she said.
Relating to the manner by which she keeps herself fit, Sam mentioned swimming, boxing and pole dancing among other activities that she has taken up.
“Well that pole dancing seems very sexy, no, but it's not bastos. It's also a form of exercise since it's more on you losing your body weight,” she shared.
Sam added that among her body parts, she considers her eyes the sexiest because “very seductive at classy raw kasi ito at kayang-kaya niyang mang-akit ng tao sa katitingin kung nanaisin.”
Distributor Warner Bros. says "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" took in $43.6 million in 26 countries outside the United States on its first day Wednesday.
Studio executives said Thursday the franchise finale had the biggest opening day ever in several countries, including Australia with $7.5 million, Italy with $4.6 million and Sweden with $2.1 million. In France, the studio said "Deathly Hallows: Part 2" had the biggest Wednesday opening ever at $7.1 million.
In the countries where the film opened Wednesday, total revenues were 82 percent higher than they were on the first day for "Deathly Hallows: Part 1" last November, according to Warner Bros.
The finale got a boost from the franchise's first 3-D installment. Admissions for 3-D screenings, which cost a few dollars more than 2-D showings, accounted for 65 percent of revenues, the studio said.
"Deathly Hallows" continues opening worldwide Thursday and Friday.
In the United States, the film is expected to put up franchise-record numbers as it debuts just after midnight Friday. "Deathly Hallows: Part 1" had the franchise's biggest opening weekend domestically with $125 million.
"The franchise record, you can consider that history. That we're going to do. It's not a question," said Dan Fellman, head of distribution at Warner Bros., which also holds Hollywood's all-time record for domestic debuts with a $158.4 million weekend on 2008's "The Dark Knight."
"The only question is 'Dark Knight,' whether we can put that together. My feeling at this time is that it's very, very do-able."
The 3-D price advantage for the "Harry Potter" finale will help, given that "The Dark Knight" and other top domestic debuts, including "Spider-Man 3" at $151.1 million and "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" at $142.8 million, played only in 2-D.
If fan frenzy is strong enough, "Deathly Hallows: Part 2" could become the first of the eight "Harry Potter" films to top $1 billion at the box office worldwide.
The record-holder remains the franchise's first film, 2001's "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," with $974.8 million globally.
By splitting the film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's seventh "Harry Potter" adventure into two parts, Warner Bros. essentially is doubling its box-office revenue. The first installment of "Deathly Hallows" pulled in $955.4 million worldwide.
"Deathly Hallows: Part 2" picks up where the first film left off, as young wizards Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) return to Hogwarts school for a final showdown against dark Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes).
The finale generally has earned glowing reviews from critics.
“Some of them have quit showbiz after a very brief stay while others are still active,” said Felix Manuel, one of Funfare’s “beauty experts.”
The 2011 UAAP, hosted by Ateneo de Manila University (with six Men’s Seniors titles), opened last Saturday, July 9, at the Marikina Sports Park in Marikina City with the theme All Out, All Heart (the games started last Sunday at the Big Dome). To strengthen its position in the local mobile communications industry as the leading value-for-money and feature-packed brand of phone, Cherry Mobile introduces its newest brand ambassador: action movie star and TV personality Robin Padilla.
“It was an easy decision to choose Robin as our new brand advocate. Just like Cherry Mobile, Robin has a natural charisma that easily draws the public. He represents the average Cherry Mobile user who lives an active yet practical lifestyle. Robin is the ideal guy to bring us to the next level,” said Maynard Ngu, Chief Executive Officer of Cosmic Technologies, Incorporated.
Robin is undoubtedly one of Philippine showbiz’s most dashing and talented male actors. Dubbed in the ’90s as “The Bad Boy of Philippine Action Movies,” Robin Padilla is now clearly considered the opposite – focused, spiritual, and determined. He has gained and regained, through the years, the kind of credibility and charisma that would make consumers trust in his product choices.
“Being a Cherry Mobile endorser is really an honor. Most of the mobile phones in the market today are too expensive for the average Filipino. I admire Cherry Mobile for bringing affordable handsets with dual SIM capabilities and other unique features available to all. With Cherry Mobile, anyone can stay connected.” Robin shared.
Along with the announcement of Robin Padilla as the newest Cherry Mobile endorser, Cosmic Technologies, Inc. also introduces two latest additions to its growing portfolio: Cherry Mobile R7 Vigor and R9 Tough. Both are equipped with an easy-grip, protective rubber casing that can withstand shocks against drop impacts from as high as 1.5 meters and sudden bumps, jolt and blow.
These new niche of stylishly rugged phones also bring together the best features a multimedia phone can have — Dual SIM/ Dual Standby, loudspeaker, camera, FM Radio, Flashlight, MMS/WAP/GPRS, Bluetooth, JAVA/built-in games and an expandable storage up to 4GB. The R7 Vigor is a bar type mobile phone while the R9 Tough features a QWERTY keypad.
“Robin is our shockproof mobile phones personified. He is tough and rough to survive all the blows that he has encountered in his life and career,” said Agnes Conopio, Marketing Head.
Robin joins the ranks of other Cherry Mobile endorsers, John Lloyd Cruz and Kim Chiu. With this dream team of brand ambassadors, Cherry Mobile is set to continue to captivate the local mobile communications industry and deliver products that fit everyone’s lifestyle.

After teasing a kindler, gentler version of himself, Simon Cowell lets his inner nastiness shine in a new extended promo for Fox's highly anticipated singing competition, "The X Factor," which premiered on July 12.
The clip opens with Cowell and the rest of the judges - Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and Antonio "L.A." Reid - judging a young girl singing the "Annie" classic "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow" a little too leniently, with a pink sweater-clad Cowell exclaiming, "I love your spirit!" A voiceover from Cowell continues the loveliest, proclaiming, "I want to make people's dreams come true. I even think about the environment!"
And then Cowell wakes up in bed, rubs his face and says, "Wow, what a horrible nightmare!" Soon, the viewer is watching clips of Cowell calling contestants "absolute rubbish" and "deluded".
"The X Factor" premieres September 21 on Fox.
A source tells the new issue of Us Weekly that the "Green Lantern" star, 34, and Charlize Theron, 35, "have been dating — for months! They're exclusive, and it's very hush-hush."
While the two haven't been photographed together, a witness noticed Reynolds' motorcycle at Theron's home all morning on June 5, then saw the actor exit her house around 3 p.m. - and she left just minutes later.
Has Reynolds found a perfect match?
"They're both career-focused," explains the source, "but not in a crazy way."
For instance, don't expect to see the stars side-by-side on a red carpet. "She won't go to an event with him," the insider says of Theron, who split with love of nine years Stuart Townsend in 2010. "That's not her style."
Meanwhile, Reynolds hasn't completely shut off contact with famous ex Johansson, 26. He and the "Iron Man 2" actress were spotted having a cordial dinner last Friday at Little Dom's in L.A.
Can you talk about your last scene as Hermione? What was it, and what were you feeling?
The last shot we did was this kind of strange moment when we dive into the fireplace at the Ministry of Magic. It was actually for Part 1, not Part 2. Dan, Rupert, and I one by one jumped onto these blue safety mats basically, and that was the shot. That was it. It seemed like kind of a strange one to go out on, but David made the point that we were like leaping into the unknown. It was kind of a perfect metaphor for what we were about to go into. It's so funny, I can't tell you how I felt when we were shooting it. I was sort of numb.
Were there any other last moments - a last scene at Hogwarts or a last scene filmed with someone - that stick out in your mind?
It's so funny. This film was obviously incredibly challenging for me. It really pushed me as an actress, but at the same time I was able to use a lot of my own genuine emotions I felt about lasts and all of it coming to an end. I was able to bring how I was feeling to the role, so a perfect example of that was the scene where we stand on the bridge after the battle before we flash forward. I remember just feeling exactly how Hermione would be feeling. Just, wow this is all coming to an end, look at everything we've achieved. The set was actually built looking out over Leavesden Studios, which is where I grew up, essentially, and spent the last twelve years. So yeah, not much acting required really, it was all just alive for me.
What character traits do you share with Hermione?
Not so much now, but I guess earnestness, an eagerness to please and to do the right thing—terrified of ever getting into trouble. I'm very heady in the same way that she is; I'm constantly thinking three, four moves ahead. I try to intellectualize a lot, which she does as well, obviously. I'm very determined as well. I like to think that I'm loyal in the same way that she is. I'm a bit of a feminist in the same way that she is. I will speak my mind. It's hard to say, really. I feel so much of me went into her and so much of her went into me. I can't really differentiate too much anymore it's all a bit of a blur.
Did you give much thought into what happened in the 19 years that passed? Because by that point, Jo said Hermione has been working for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, but she also has two kids. As we know of the wizarding world, most of the moms are stay at home moms. Is Hermione the first one to be a working mom?
Yeah, I think that's so interesting that you brought that up. Gosh, it's so interesting. For my mum, she was the first generation that felt like, "wow, we really can work and we have choice." My mum worked when I was growing up. I feel like for my generation, not only do we have that choice but we also have the choice to stay at home, which is amazing that we do have so much choice. But I also think it's easy to feel a bit lost about what the right thing to do is. I'm going off on a bit of a tangent here, but yeah I can absolutely see Hermione working and trying to juggle kids. She has such a wonderful mind, and she is so caring about the world, and so desperate to set things right. She has a very strong sense of justice, so it makes complete sense that she's in law enforcement, and she would keep going with that part of herself.
What role do you think Hermione has in raising Rosie and Hugo?
Hermione just has so much knowledge. She thirsts for knowledge, and she loves words. I guess just being around someone like Hermione it must be infectious to want to know more and I can't imagine it was difficult to get Rosie and Hugo interested in things. I remember I used to watch my mum read and seeing her face change and all of the expressions she would go through, and seeing her enjoy books so much that you would go, "oh that's interesting, what's that?" And you would want to do the same. So I'm sure just by example.
What are your tastes in music, and now that you know - I assume - American students very well, are American tastes and British tastes very different?
They are and they aren't. I've found so much music that I like that a lot of my American friends know about, and we bridge gaps. I don't think there's too much difference in taste. In terms of my own taste, I'm very influenced by my parents. My dad collects records, and so when I was growing up he would play me Joni Mitchell and Suzanne Vega. He loves blues, so a lot of Chuck Berry. My mum would play The Pretenders, Elvis, Natalie [Merchant] and the 10,000 Maniacs. Then my brother has recently been getting me into a lot of classic rock. I've been listening to Tom Petty, the Cars, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, and White Stripes. I also love to dance, so I'll listen to like Lady Gaga, Rihanna and everyone. I love Lykke Li. I've been listening to her albums recently. Everything, really. I've been listening to a bit more classical music lately. I love music, and I think I drive my friends crazy because I always have to have music playing. My de-stressing thing is to put my iPod headphones in and just go walk and listen to music. That's what I do if I need to zone out or calm down.
Perhaps singing on Broadway?
Yes (laughs) well, I don't know if I'm...Dan is so ballsy. That kid. Amazing. I'd love to do something on Broadway, but I think I need to pluck up some more courage. But I love to sing, yeah.
How do you think you've changed the most, personally, over the last ten years?
It's hard to say, because obviously when you go from the ages of 9 to 21, most of those changes are inevitable, it's just part of growing up. It's hard to say what is part of that natural process, and what else has happened. I went from being a nine year old schoolgirl to having a job, and I've learned how to be an actress, and how films are made, and how to do interviews...hopefully. I guess I always had quite a strong sense of who I am, but it's nice coming through and feeling like I still have managed to maintain my own sense of identity away from something that potentially could have overwhelmed me. So I guess I'm glad that I had that. I was quite a stubborn young girl, so yeah.
Now that the series has ended, do you have a favorite out of all of them?
I mean the last two, Part 1 and Part 2, for me really stand apart from all of the rest. The quality is amazing, and the role and the depth and I guess how much darker they get really gave me a chance to stretch myself as an actress and really feel like I was an actress, and like I was acting. Actually for the first however many years I didn't really feel like I was doing much acting at all. I feel like I can say I'm an actress and really believe in that.
What's next for you?
I'm going to travel this summer, which I'm really excited about. It's obviously scary; change is always scary, but I feel really excited. I feel like I'm opening a new chapter and I have a fresh start. So traveling this summer, I'm going back to school in the fall. I've got two years left until I complete my degree. I have just made a film called Perks of Being a Wallflower which was just the most incredible experience. I had the best six weeks. I'm very excited about that movie. Having an experience like that outside of Harry Potter convince me that acting was what I should be doing and that I was good at it. It really solidified that for me. I guess just now reading, reading, reading, and trying to find the next thing that speaks to me and that I really care about. Also finding great directors hopefully, who will keep teaching me so I can keep learning. But I'm excited about the idea of being an actress now in a way that I wasn't so sure of when I was younger.
When was the moment that you realized you were one of the most recognizable faces in the world?
It was when I was in a shantytown in Bangladesh, and a boy stopped me in the street and said, "You're the girl from Harry Potter!" There's nowhere in the world I can go, it feels, that isn't somehow touched by this franchise. It's absolutely amazing. It reaches the furthest corners of the earth in the least expected places. So that was a moment when it was like, "Wow! You really can't go anywhere."
Now, how do you handle that fame?
It became easy to handle once I accepted it. Once I sort of came to terms with it, definitely. And I feel fortunate in that I've never known what it's like to have total freedom and anonymity. It's not as though I had it then all of a sudden taken away from me. It was something I sort of grew up knowing. I've never known anything else. In a way, I guess that's sort of a blessing.
Throughout this series, all of the characters go through tests of bravery; it's sort of an ongoing thing. What story can you tell us from when you had to put your bravery to the test?
That's a great question. You know, I feel like young girls are told that they have to be this kind of princess and be all delicate and fragile, and it's bullshit. I identified much more with the idea of being a warrior, and being a fighter. If I was going to be a princess, I would be a warrior princess, definitely. I think, I don't know, sorry to ramble on. I think women are scared of feeling powerful and strong and brave, and I think that's something they've got to embrace. It's not the absence of fear, it's overcoming it. Sometimes you've got to just blast through. A lot of moments in this last movie I made in Pittsburgh, Perks of Being a Wallflower, I was terrified. On my first day I was so nervous. Doing a different accent, being on a new movie set, in a foreign country with a crew I didn't know and a cast I didn't know. There's a scene where I have to mimic Susan Sarandon in Rocky Horror Picture Show and I'm standing in a corset in front of all of these extras trying to do this dance. I felt ridiculous. It's funny: coming out of this, I'm constantly doing things that are new, and that takes bravery. I think it's just trying to have faith in yourself and believe in yourself and know that it will come right in the end.
You had mentioned that you are doing some traveling and then going to school. Which school are you going to?
I'm going to Oxford in the fall to study English for a year. Just to explain, I haven't left Brown. I'm still enrolled at Brown, but I'm doing my third year abroad, studying at home...abroad for me (laughs). I'll be going back to the states for my last year.

Will Rodman (James Franco) is a scientist working within a large pharmaceutical corporation conducting genetic research to develop a benign virus that restores damaged human brain tissue. He is committed to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s, a disease that afflicts his father, Charles (John Lithgow). Will’s relentless focus has precluded personal relationships, but the connection between his research and Charles’ illness brings the two together, albeit under difficult heart-rending circumstances. Just prior to the drug company’s commencement of human trials of a promising and potentially lucrative new drug, Will’s simian test subjects suddenly display bizarrely aggressive behavior. Management deems the research a failure and Will must shut down his program.
Amidst the confusion of the study’s sudden termination, Will finds himself charged with an overlooked newborn infant chimpanzee – a male, the newly orphaned offspring of his most promising test subject. That young chimp, destined for greatness, is named Caesar, played by capture-performance actor Andy Serkis, marks his greatest art-rending performance ever in CGI.
Will secretly raises young Caesar as his own, at home, while caring for his ailing father. “Will must now be a caretaker, not only to Charles, but to this baby chimp,” says Franco. “As the story progresses Will becomes more of a person and less of a scientist, and starts to care about Caesar more than the success of the drug.”
Over time, with the help of the drug, the chimp exhibits incredible cognitive skills and intellect. At the same time, Charles’ symptoms of Alzheimer’s miraculously go into remission. Will’s bending the rules of laboratory trials seems to have worked beyond his hopes.
However, as Caesar matures, his highly-developed intelligence is countered by the aggressive and dangerous protective instincts typical of adult male apes. Caesar soon becomes too much for Will. Though reluctant to part with Caesar, who has become like a son, Will takes Caesar to live among other apes within the confines of the San Bruno Primate Sanctuary. But unknown to Will, the “sanctuary” is more like a shoddily run prison – a dumping ground for unwanted or abandoned apes. It is run by Landon (Brian Cox, who starred in director Rupert Wyatt’s debut feature, the acclaimed The Escapist), and Landon’s son, Dodge, portrayed by Tom Felton.
In addition to presenting emotionally-engaging photo-realistic apes, the film’s setting is instantly recognizable and relatable. The movie is an origin story in the truest sense of the term. Set in present day San Francisco, the film is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man’s experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.
The powerful and emotional battle that streamed out of the sanctuary’s abuses became a platform for the film’s most climactic scenes. Rupert Wyatt shares: “We wanted it be a ‘world-stops-spinning’ moment that plays into the whole idea of evolution and where that can take a species.” That defining instant leads to a daring escape, an epic confrontation at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, a wrenching and fateful reunion between Will and Caesar – and a revolution that will forever change the planet.”
In a recent chat with Total Film, Felton revealed he’s keen to further expand his range, to join Serkis in CGI circles. “I bored Andy for hours about how he got into it and how he came to be the godfather of it all,” said Felton “He talked me through a lot of it, and it’s something I’d like to look into. There’s so many scripts that you could have read 20 years ago and you’d have said ‘You can’t physically make that’ but now it’s an option - you can do things that weren’t really achievable.
“In this film you’re going to see such advances in the CGI that you’re going to look back at the old apes costumes and really think ‘that’s history’,” Felton shares.
“Rise of the Planet of the Apes” opens August 4 in theaters from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

Protégé, The Battle For The Big Break - Teaser:
Warner Bros. presents “Crazy, Stupid, Love” starring Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore and Emma Stone. Joining them are Marisa Tomei, Kevin Bacon, Josh Groban and Filipino-American actress Liza Lapira.
Steve Carell says, “Age usually denotes some sort of growth, some sort of leg-up on the learning curve, but that’s not always the case when it comes to love. This is a great story because it involves three different generations of romance. What I found really interesting to explore was the crossover between them and the idea that, even as we get older, we don’t always have all the answers. The lessons we can learn from our kids are sometimes the most surprising.”
Carell’s character in “Crazy, Stupid, Love” is Cal Weaver, a man whose life falls apart in the opening scene when, without warning, his wife announces she wants a divorce. Having the rug pulled out from under him, he flails around, trying to find his footing, when he’s offered an unexpected and unusual lifeline in the form of ladies’ man Jacob Palmer, played by Ryan Gosling.
Glenn Ficarra, who directed the film with John Requa, states, “This is a story about a guy who has a mid-life crisis thrust upon him as opposed to coming to it naturally, and the domino effect it has on everyone around him.”
In addition to the details of the story and characters, the overarching theme of love, present in so many different forms, was a big draw for the directing duo.
Requa contends, “Love is vital. For most people, it’s really the most important thing, the greatest thing in life worth fighting for. But it can also be a great source of comedy, which is how we felt when we read the script.”
The screenplay, written by Dan Fogelman, “was one of the best I’ve ever read,” says producer Denise Di Novi. “It was funny, very witty, very smart. It took a clear look at human relationships - marriage, parenting, first love, long-term love - in a way that was dramatic and edgy and hilarious…an irresistible combination for me.”
Fogelman actually wrote the screenplay with Carell in mind for the character of Cal. “I had the initial idea of a guy whose wife leaves him, and he meets another guy in a bar, and that guy trains him to become a sort of older version of himself, to rediscover his manhood and, well, pick up women. I could instantly imagine Steve playing him.”
Fogelman’s script became the first project to be produced under Carell’s own Carousel banner, with partners Vance DeGeneres and Charlie Hartsock serving as executive producers on the project. Both filmmakers saw the story’s appeal right away. “Everything was hidden so nicely inside the script, and every time I turned the page I was excited to find out what would happen,” Hartsock says. “But what really impressed me was that I never felt ahead of the script, I never thought, ‘Oh, I see where this is going.’ That made reading it even better.”
DeGeneres offers, “The humor comes very naturally out of the situation and the character. Cal was very real and his story - his relationship falling apart after years of marriage - was something a lot of people can relate to. It really fit with what Carousel is all about.”
It was also precisely the kind of movie that directing partners Requa and Ficarra, who have previously only directed their own material, couldn’t pass up. Notes Ficarra, “We have a common ear for what we like, and there were issues in this story - mid-life crises, family dynamics - that really rang true and were very tempting to us.”
“I liked the way Dan examined how annoying love can be,” Requa says. “The script was just so impressive, and it’s a character-based comedy, which is exactly what we like to do.”
Di Novi states, “Glenn and John have a style that we all felt would match perfectly with this project. They’re really able to access the underlying emotion of a scene, even through the laughter. They bring a real sense of humanity to what they do.”
Opening soon across the Philippines, “Crazy, Stupid Love” is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Directed by Christopher Nolan, "The Dark Knight Rises" will star Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Michael Caine as Alfred, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Jim Gordon, Josh Pence as young Ra's Al Ghul, Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Tom Hardy as Bane.
But despite his intention to seriously pursue a relationship with the young actress, Ryan also believes that he has no chance of winning the Coleen's nod.
"Ako, crush na crush ko si Coleen talaga. Hindi ako nagsisinungaling. Pero si Coleen, ewan ko kung gusto niya ako," Ryan said.
Asked why he feels that way, the comedian said that he thinks that his personality as a comedian could be the reason why Coleen wouldn't believe him.
"Ako, masaya siya kasama sa 'Showtime'. Ako, lagi ko siyang liligawan pero wala siyang reaksyon. Hindi ko alam. Sa tingin niya joke joke ako kasi komedyante ako. Hindi ko alam. Hindi ako guwapo kasi," he said.
The ever happy and proud John announced the good news on Monday, July 11, during the live airing of his ABS-CBN noontime “Happy, Yipee, Yehey!”.
"Masaya, masaya. Actually I'm really excited for her because this is her first baby. I'm excited for her parents kasi first apo nila ito," John said.
"Ako, of course, being the father, I'm so excited na magkaanak kami ni Priscilla. So, it's really a blessing," he added.
If he is to choose, John said he wants to have a baby boy but will still be glad to have otherwise as long as their baby will be healthy.
"Kung tatanungin kami, ako, ang gusto ko sana ay boy. Sana, sana. Kung babae ay okay lang. Papangalanan ko siyang Georgia," he revealed.
John also said that he is inspired to work now that his wife is pregnant.
"Mas lalo akong dapat magtrabaho kasi may panibagong miyembro ng pamilya ko. My wife naman supports me all the way, kaya wala akong problema sa trabaho ko," the actor-host said.
It is Priscilla's first pregnancy while John has 4 children from his previous marriage to Janice de Belen.
