ABS-CBN has released a statement regarding the network’s decision to file “reckless imprudence” case against Christopher Bautista, the driver of the van involved in the accident which killed young actor AJ Perez.

Initial reports say that Bautista overtook a ten-wheeler truck before it was hit by the Partas bus.

In a statement sent by the Mr. Bong Osorio, ABS-CBN's Corporate Communications Head, the Kapamilya network clarified that Bautista is an employee of Southbend Express Services, Inc, a service contractor of ABS-CBN.

Here is the full statement sent by ABS-CBN to Starmometer for immediate release:

ABS-CBN wishes to clarify that the driver who was involved in the collision that caused the death of teen actor AJ Perez is an employee of Southbend Express Services, Inc., a service contractor of ABS-CBN.

ABS-CBN has studied the facts of the incident and will file a case of reckless imprudence against the Southbend driver. This is in addition to the earlier case filed against the PARTAS bus driver.

ABS-CBN Corporation

Meanwhile, Julie Brillantes, the driver of Partas bus that collided with ABS-CBN’s van posted a P15,000 cash bond at the Tarlac Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Moncada, Tarlac yesterday, April 19. He is facing cases of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide, multiple physical injuries and damage to properties.

In a TV interview, Brillantes asked the the public not to blame him for AJ's death.

Sana naman ‘wag nila akong sisihin sa pangyayaring ‘yon kasi talagang wala akong alam doon dahil ginawa ko lahat ng pag-iwas pero gano’n pa rin....sumabit siya,” he said.

Brillantes explained he was not driving at full speed when the accident happened, otherwise “gugulong talaga ‘yon (van) ‘pag nabunggo ko kung mabilis ang takbo. Eh sa liit (ng van)... eh, ang laki nu’ng bumunggo. Naibaba ko sa shoulder dahil nag-menor na nga ako. Naibaba ko. Kung hindi ko naibaba sa shoulder, sigurado ang tama noon mukhang-mukha, kung hindi ko naitabi ang sasakyan ko." he explained.

Family Acts Make It Through "Pilipinas Got Talent"

Posted by JED on , under | comments (3)

The family that prays together, stays together but for some of the hopefuls of “Pilipinas Got Talent,” the family that sings together makes it through the next round of the country’s number one talent-reality show.

This is what the singing brothers and sisters who call themselves The Asidors of Davao, and the acoustic dad-daughter tandem Amanak of Quezon City did and proved last week. Both acts sang in perfect harmony and made it to the next round.

The country will already know who the semi-finalists will be as the judges make their final deliberation this Sunday (Apr 24). Dubbed as the judges cull, judges will pick who among all successful contestants will be competing for your votes and once again show what they've got in the semi-final round.

Keep watching the second season of “Pilipinas Got Talent,” every Saturday and Sunday, 8:45 PM on ABS-CBN.

Luis Manzano Gets Free Massage From PGT Hopeful

Posted by JED on , under | comments (0)

Pilipinas Got Talent” host Luis Manzano got a special treat as hopeful Mar Brando Zara of Pangasinan gave him a free massage on stage, in front of the judges and the live viewers, in the recent episode of the country’s number one talent-reality show.

Mar showed off his singing talent while doing a massage, which serves as his sideline while studying. The crowd screamed as Luis took off his shirt to be part of the act. Everyone was definitely entertained but the judges thought it is not good enough so they didn’t put Mar through the next round.

Leading Visual Effects House WETA Digital Reveals Concept Art For “Rise of the Planet of The Apes”

Posted by JED on , under | comments (0)

Recently concluded live stream on Facebook revealed WETA’s concept art for the highly-anticipated movie event “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” starring James Franco, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Brian Cox, Tom Felton, David Oyelowo and Andy Serkis.

WETA Digital, the industry-leading and Academy Award® winning visual effects house behind the wizardry of films such as “Avatar,” “The Lord of the Rings Trilogy,” and “District 9” held a live streaming event on Facebook, for “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” from their headquarters in Wellington, New Zealand. The online event gave viewers an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at their work on the film wherein the magic of rendering produced the world’s first photo-real ape as related by WETA’s Joe Letteri and Dan Lemmon.

The movie is a reality-based cautionary tale that blends science fiction and science-fact when a single act of both compassion and arrogance leads to a war unlike any other. Set in present-day San Francisco, Will (Franco) has long been working on a cure that is being tested on apes when his test subject named Caesar (Serkis) starts exhibiting intelligence equal to humans. Caesar starts to evolve rapidly, and the scientist takes him home to live with him and protects Caesar from cruel scientists. A revolution then starts that threatens mankind’s existence and the beginning of a new race.

WETA’s work on “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” presented very different challenges and opportunities. In addition to the main CG character, Caesar that gives a performance of unprecedented emotion and intelligence, the apes will not be actors in costumes but rather rendered digitally to be photo-realistic and WETA is applying some of the technology it developed for ‘Avatar’ to bring to life a real world – and epic battles on which rest the upended destinies of man and primate.

Directed by Rupert Wyatt from a screenplay by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver – “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” is a 20th Century Fox offering to open on August 5 (Friday) in theaters worldwide.

Greg and Friends Level Up in “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules”

Posted by JED on , under | comments (0)

Greg Heffley, the kid who made “wimpy” cool, is back in an all-new family comedy film based on the best-selling follow-up novel by Jeff Kinney of the same title “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules.”

The first motion picture based on Kinney’s work, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” brought to cinematic life the adventures of wisecracking pre-teen Greg Heffley, who must somehow survive the scariest time of anyone’s life….middle school. Zachary Gordon, Devon Bostick, Rachael Harris, Robert Capron, Steve Zahn and most of the cast from “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” return. Now, with the new film, the focus is on Greg’s family, especially his relationship with his older brother, Rodrick. Greg has changed since the first movie. Last year, he was heading into middle school for the first time. This year, he feels more confident and like he’s in control. And now, he’s trying to make inroads with a pretty new girl at school, so he can improve his situation at school even further.

The movie is centered on a classic theme, something most people have been through, which is sibling rivalry,” says producer Brad Simpson. “Every day, Greg probably wishes he were an only child.”

It’s hard from me to look at the Wimpy Kid books now and not think of Zach [Gordon],” says Simpson. “I think he’s the perfect Greg Heffley. He’s brought a depth that was essential to role. Zach has a little bit of Greg in him – that’s the key thing. He’s a fast talker and often looking for an angle. Zach doesn’t have some of Greg’s hard edges and he has the ability to deliver some of the ‘Greg lines’ that can read as being harsh, but when delivered by Zach, you see that they come from him wanting to fit in. Greg isn’t mean; he’s just struggling, like every kid, to find his place in the world.”

Greg Heffley has definitely changed since we saw him in the first movie,” says Zachary. “In the books, he pretty much stays the same but, for the movies, we wanted him change at least a little bit. This time, he and Rowley don’t have as much conflict. Greg is no longer being humiliated every day and he’s kind of got the school-thing down.”

Robert Capron returns as Greg Heffley’s best friend, Rowley Jefferson, “Rowley is still wide-eyed,” says Simpson. “He thinks you should just be yourself and people will like you.”

Rowley and Greg’s relationship hasn’t really changed,” Capron elaborates. “They’re still really good friends and Greg is still making Rowley do things that he doesn’t want to, but Rowley’s doing them anyway.”

Jeff Kinney notes that, “In the first movie, Greg is worried about Rowley weighing him down in the social world. But now, he is comfortable with Rowley as his best friend. There’s something about the relationship that’s really one-sided, but there’s something that also works. And in this movie, we’re exploring the part that works.”

“Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules” opens April 23 (Saturday) in theaters from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

Angel Aquino Strips Down For "Kinse"

Posted by JED on , under | comments (0)

Acclaimed actress, TV host, and women’s rights advocate Angel Aquino takes on her most daring role to date as she strips down in protest of human rights violations for the film project “Kinse” of ANC, the ABS-CBN News Channel.

“Kinse,” is a collection of four to six-minute short films on human rights directed by 15 Filipino filmmakers led by Erik Matti, Carlitos Siguion-Reyna, and Paolo Villaluna.

In the latest teaser for the project, Angel portrays a seemingly strong and glamorous woman, who after taking her clothes off piece by piece, reveals a battered woman with bruises all over her body.

In an interview with ABS-CBN, Angel revealed that she feels deeply for victims of human rights violations as her mother was also a battered wife.

My tatay would make all the decisions at pag hindi siya nasusunod o pag may mga bagay na hindi siya natutuwa, madali niya masaktan yung nanay ko. Akala namin ang tatay ganun talaga role niya,” she shared.

Aside from lending her talent to promote “Kinse,” Angel will also anchor the six-part TV special on the project to be aired this May.

With two daughters of her own, Angel hopes she can help raise awareness on the issue through this human rights series. “Gusto kong malaman nila na hindi nila dapat payagan na mangyari ito sa kanila,” she said.

“Kinse” is ANC’s follow-up project to the vert successful and controversial film series “amBisyon2010,” which tackled the ten issues Filipinos should consider in choosing the next leaders of the nation.

Two of the 20 short films in that project, one directed by Cannes Best Director Dante Mendoza and one by award-winning filmmaker Jeffrey Jeturian, got an x-rating from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board last year.

As ANC celebrates its 15th anniversary of telling the nation’s stories, it aims to again stir discussion and action through “Kinse,” which is produced in partnership with the Commission on Human Rights, and through the support of the embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Patricia Evangelista, the executive producer of 2011 New York Festival Silver and Bronze World Medalist documentary program “Storyline,” is at the helm of the project with her “Storyline” and “amBisyon2010” co-creator Villaluna.

Steph Ayson, AJ Perez Girlfriend Shares Thoughts About AJ's Sudden Passing

Posted by JED on , under | comments (1)

"He made sure that I wouldn't feel that I was pushed aside."

17 year-old Steph Ayson, AJ Perez's non-showbiz girlfriend, made this statement during her first media interview wherein she talked about her fond memories of her deceased boyfriend and how she took it when she first heard the news that he was killed in a car accident in Tarlac.

Steph told ABS-CBN News that having a celebrity boyfriend was never easy.

"There've been quite a number of complications regarding privacy, with regard to our relationship, but the good thing about AJ is that even though we kept it in the quiet, he made sure that I wouldn't feel that I was pushed aside or whatever," she told ABS-CBN News.

"He really made me feel special in every way that he could, even his friends, [by] constantly texting me," she added.

When asked what she liked most about AJ, she said: "I liked his optimism and capability to make people feel optimistic just as he is. And he's just very inspiring and sobrang determined niya."

Holding back tears, Steph said she will miss AJ now that he is gone.

"I'll just miss the way he calls me every time may break sa taping. Sobrang kulit kasi niya, kahit text or call, or pati sa buong family ko," she said. "I'll miss of course having him around and I miss someone constantly bugging me to be okay."

Steph admitted that moving on may take a while "but I know with God's help and AJ's help, I'll be fine."

On Sunday, the 18-year-old AJ Perez was killed in a vehicular accident in Tarlac highway after doing a show in Dagupan.

AJ was with his father Gerardo Perez and 4 others when the ABS-CBN van carrying them collided with a Partas provincial passenger bus along McArthur Highway in Barangay San Julian.

Steph learned about Perez's death through his dad, Gerardo.

"At first, I couldn't believe it until I saw AJ. Tito Gerry (AJ's father) was the one who called me. When he was telling me, it was hard for me to grasp the idea, so my sister had to call Tito Gerry again and asked and confirmed what happened," she said.

Steph Ayson's twitter account was recently opened to the public to "share the AJ I know with everyone. I've always been his fan since I was in grade school, too."

Fatima Soriano, who is supposed to be the recipient of AJ Perez' cornea, is not capable of transplant according to Mrs. Fely Soriano, Fatima's mother.

Dr. Mae Singson, Fatima's eye doctor confirmed that the 17-year-old singing Marian devotee is not eligible for a corneal transplant since her problem are her retinas and no effective retinal transplants are available yet.

"Ang corneas niya ay normal. Ang problema sa kanya ay ang likod ng mata o ang kurtina ng mata called the retina. 'Yon ang defective sa kanya and it has been defective since pinanganak siya. So changing the cornea, which is sa harapan ng mata ay hindi makakabigay lunas sa kanyang karamdaman. To this day, wala pa tayong effective na retinal transplant," Dr. Singson said.

For her part, Fatima who remains ever faithful to God, wholeheartedly accepted the turn of events and said "if it's God's will, she'll gladly accept it".

Meawhile, Star Magic PR head Thess Gubi said that the Perez family has endorsed the cornea to the eyebank and whoever is compatible [with AJ's cornea] will be the beneficiary.

Representatives from Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines will personally meet and thank AJ's family for donating the late young actor's cornea. Eye Bank will then present a donor certificate to AJ's parents.

Regional Trial Court Junks Damages Complaint versus GMA Network

Posted by JED on , under | comments (0)

The Regional Trial Court (RTC) of Manila recently dismissed the civil complaint for damages filed against GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) in relation to a story which aired over GMA during the period August 8 to 12, 2003.

Plaintiff Dolores Domingo filed the complaint against GMA and its broadcasters Mike Enriquez, Mel Tiangco and Arnold Clavio owing to the alleged "filthy and malicious story" that she acquired unexplained and incommensurate wealth as Customs Operating Officer IV at the Bureau of Customs (BOC) with only a salary rate of Grade 18.

In a 12-page Decision penned by RTC Judge Carmelita S. Manahan dated March 15, 2011, the court cited the Supreme Court ruling in the 1999 case of Borjal vs. Court of Appeals that "fair commentaries on matters of public interest are likewise privileged... the doctrine of fair commentaries means that while in general, every discreditable imputation publicly made is deemed false, it is not necessarily actionable. In order that such discreditable imputation to a public official may be actionable, it must either be a false allegation of fact or a comment based on a false supposition."

Further, the RTC Decision quoted the Supreme Court's finding in the Borjal case that "no culpability could be imputed to petitioners for the alleged offending publication without doing violence to the concept of privileged communications implicit in the freedom of the press."

Domingo, with another BOC employee Chito Orbeta, was reported to have acquired luxurious cars and mansions in exclusive subdivisions based on public documents such as, the Statement of Assets and Liabilities, Deed of Sale, and Certificate of Registration and Official Receipt issued by the Land Transportation Office (LTO).

The story was delivered by GMA News and Public Affairs programs Imbestigador, Unang Hirit, Saksi and Frontpage.

Then production unit manager (PUM) for GMA Public Affairs Ianessa Valdellon testified during trial that there was no truth in Domingo's allegations that she (Domingo) was imputed to have committed the crimes of unexplained wealth, graft and corruption under the anti-graft and corrupt practices act.

Instead, Valdellon said that what aired over GMA was straight reporting on the basis of public, official and commercial documents, which Domingo herself signed and filed as a government employee at the BOC.

Domingo and Orbeta jointly filed a libel case versus GMA and its broadcasters Enriquez, Tiangco and Clavio. The case was dismissed on September 17, 2004 in a Joint Resolution by the City Prosecutor of Manila. Orbeta also filed a complaint seeking damages from GMA but it was also dismissed in a Decision dated January 14, 2009 by RTC Manila.

Joseph Estrada Celebrates 74th Birthday

Posted by JED on , under | comments (2)

Manila (Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN) - Former Philippine President Joseph "Erap" Estrada asked Filipinos to give President Benigno Aquino III a chance to solve the country's problems which he said were left behind by the previous administration.

"This is my honest opinion. All these anomalies, all these impoverished people... these were caused by the (Gloria) Arroyo administration," Estrada told the Philippine Daily Inquirer during his visit to an orphanage, one of the activities he undertook to mark his 74th birthday Tuesday.

"Noynoy (Aquino's nickname) has been President for less than a year so he cannot immediately resolve these issues. We must give him time," said Estrada at the Asociacion de Damas de Filipinas orphanage in Paco, Manila, where he had a spaghetti lunch with the 86 wards and gave them gifts.

The orphanage burned down in 1998 and 23 children and five house parents were killed. Then President Estrada had the orphanage rebuilt.

Earlier, Estrada spent the morning distributing gift bags to residents of Payatas and North Triangle in Quezon City.

"Walang kupas (He's ageless)," was how Asuncion Cortez, 72, of Barangay North Triangle described Estrada after she received a bag of groceries from him.

"Walang pinagbago at wala pa rin siyang kupas sa kanyang pagmamahal sa mahihirap (He hasn't changed and his love for the poor hasn't waned)," Cortez said.

Gone Before 30: Marky Cielo, Rico Yan, Miko Sotto and Other Local Celebs Who Died Young

Posted by JED on , under | comments (4)

The picture of young actor AJ Perez standing beside a portrait of the late actor Rico Yan made more poignant the parallelism noted by ABS-CBN executives about the two young stars.

"If he gets the right breaks, he'd be like a Rico Yan," Johnny Manahan - the chairman emeritus of the network's talent arm, Star Magic - boldly told YES! (May 2011) in an interview for the magazine's list of showbiz faces to watch for.

Mr. Manahan had voted him in as part of ABS-CBN's "The Next Big Thing." This meant that AJ, among hundreds of hopefuls, was among a dozen or so who were going to be given every opportunity to shine in the next three years. The network believed in him.

Obviously, Mr. Manahan's comparison of AJ and Rico hit a chord with the industry. The two boys did share similar backgrounds and traits: Both look wholesome, possess boyish good looks, and fit the idea of would-be matinee idols; both are promising actors with the charisma to last long in a fickle industry; and both are proud La Sallians.

Sadly, AJ and Rico also shared a fate no one could have anticipated or wished for: Both were taken away from this world too soon. They were at the peak of their youth.

The shocking death of AJ last Sunday, April 17, while on his way home to Manila from a provincial show once again reminded us of the celebrities who passed away at an early age.

Young stars like Julie Vega, Miko Sotto, Marky Cielo, and Alfie Anido, among others, left not just image and career behind with their unexpected demise.

They left unfulfilled all the promise and potential that they had been privileged to have.

Here is the list of local celebrities who died young:

AJ PEREZ

Things were starting to look up for ABS-CBN young talent AJ Perez. A Maalaala Mo Kaya episode was upcoming as well as a movie with Mara Clara stars.

But tragedy struck on April 18, 2011. While AJ was on his way home to Manila from a provincial show in Dagupan, Pangasinan, the van he was riding in collided with a truck and a passenger bus, killing the 18-year-old actor and commercial model instantly.

Initial reports said that AJ sustained "multiple head injuries" caused by the collision, but medico-legal reports ascertained that his ribs puncturing his heart and lungs caused his death.

AJ's credentials as an actor include appearances in the shows Star Magic Presents: All About A Girl (2006), Lobo (2008), Your Song Presents: Underage (2009), Wansapanataym (2010), Agua Bendita (2010), and Sabel (2010), among others.

MARKY CIELO

The untimely death of Mark Angelo Cadaweng Cielo on December 7, 2008, remains shrouded in controversy. Just like Rico Yan before him, the StarStruck graduate's demise spawned speculation about the cause of the actor's death.

Marky's demise was reported to have been caused by acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis, which he suffered during his sleep. However, rumors floated about personal and emotional issues driving the young actor to depression and proving to be too much for him to handle in the end.

The 20-year-old actor's home network, GMA-7, immediately branded the rumors as "untrue" and asked the public to respect the memory of Marky and pray for his eternal repose.

Some of the projects he did include Fantastikids (2006), Bakekang (2006), Mga Kuwento ni Lola Basyang (2007), Asian Treasures (2007), Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan (2007), Joaquin Bordado (2008), Codename: Asero (2008), and LaLola (2008), among others.

RICO YAN

At 27, the handsome, bedimpled matinee idol Rico Yan seemed to have it all. A blossoming showbiz career, a supportive family, a college degree from a prestigious school, and even a head for business.

Unfortunately, on March 29, 2002, Ricardo Carlos Castro Yan succumbed to acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis in his sleep, a day after shooting a television commercial at the Dos Palmas Resort in Palawan.

Rico's death was not spared from intrigue. Still reeling from a broken heart after his separation from actress and then-girlfriend Claudine Barretto, the young actor was said to be extremely depressed at the time of his passing. This triggered the "suicide" angle, a theory dismissed by Rico's own family.

MIKO SOTTO

At the time of his death on December 29, 2003, Miko Sotto was just starting to build a name for himself as part of a new batch of GMA-7's young talents.

Some projects he appeared in include Click (1999), Bahay ni Lola (2001), Kung Mawawala Ka (2001), Kahit Kailan (2002), Walang Hanggan (2003) and Fantastic Man (2003), where he starred alongside his uncle, Vic Sotto.

The 21-year-old actor's death was officially listed as having been caused by "multiple skull fracture," which he sustained after an accidental fall from the ninth floor balcony of the San Francisco Garden Plaza Condominium in Mandaluyong City.

JONJON HERNANDEZ

As a child star, Jonjon Hernandez appeared in commercials and had cameos in movies, but he shot to fame as a teenager in the film Bagets 2. Here he shared stellar billing with Aga Muhlach, William Martinez, Herbert Bautista, Raymond Lauchengco, Francis Magalona, JC Bonnin and Ramon Christopher.

His popularity rose another notch when he joined the teen show, That's Entertainment.

He was part of the show's Thursday Group that included Lea Salonga, Herbert Bautista, and Ian Veneracion, among others.

Jonjon was cast in several action films: Pita, Terror ng Kaloocan and Patapon in 1993. But in the late ‘90s, after reaching a respectable level of popularity, he became less visible in showbiz. Apparently, he had concentrated on his personal life.

An out-of-town trip in 2000 with friends turned out to be deadly for the actor after their car hit a concrete obstruction in an unlit section of the expressway.

TENTEN MUNOZ

One of the misconceptions among young listeners of today is that Tootsie Guevarra is the original artist behind the infectious ballad "Kaba." Truth of the matter is that Tootsie's version was just a cover of the ‘90s hit song popularized by young singer Tenten Muñoz.

A product of the legendary singing contest, Bulilit Bagong Kampeon, Tenten would eventually join the world of stage musicals and recording scene. Tenten—who released her debut album in the early ‘90s - died in 1996 at the age of 19 from brain cancer.

JULIE VEGA

Julia Pearl Postigo, better known as Julie Vega, began her career at the tender age of three as a television commercial model. Her first major lead role, and one that endeared her to the masses, was in the 1978 hit, Mga Mata ni Angelita.

Her star shone even brighter after she was tapped to play the lead role in GMA-7's soap opera, Anna Liza. As the underdog character, Julie earned the sympathy of the viewing public who looked upon her as local showbiz's newest darling.

When Julie died on May 6, 1985, from complications caused by pneumonia, this triggered a giant wave of grief that was felt around the country. Throngs of people joined her funeral procession, proving that despite her short stay in the entertainment industry, she had managed to touch the lives of many.

Julie's other projects include Mga Basang Sisiw, Durugin Si Totoy Bato, Mother Dear, and Daddy's Little Angels.

When she died, she was 16.

ROXANNE ABAD SANTOS

The life of Roxanne Abad Santos resembles a romance-drama with a heartbreaking ending. Appearing alongside matinee idol Gabby Concepcion in the 1982 movie titled Miracle of Love, the project served as Roxanne's first and last movie. She succumbed to leukemia.

Roxanne was already ill when she did the film project, and her condition was made public. But showbiz being showbiz, cynics said she certainly wasn't sick enough not to report for work. The movie's producer was actually accused of using Roxanne's "supposed" illness to drum up publicity for the film.

But Roxanne was truly sick. She never even had the chance to see her own film. She passed away before the movie was exhibited in theaters.

ALFIE ANIDO

Alfie Anido embodied the typical ‘80s matinee idol: young, mestizo, and drop-dead handsome.

Alfie, or Alfonso Serrano Anido in real life, started his showbiz career as a ramp and commercial model before taking the big plunge as part of Regal Films' stable of young talents. He was launched right alongside Gabby Concepcion, William Martinez, Snooky Serna, and Albert Martinez.

Another fellow Regal Baby, Dina Bonnevie, was romantically linked with Alfie, and the couple appeared in the now classic camp film, Temptation Island.

Alfie's death at 22 years of age, on December 30, 1981, was surrounded by controversy. The media reported that his death was a "suicide," caused by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. But persistent rumors followed him around. One of the loudest rumors said the young boy was murdered upon the orders of a high-ranking official under the government of then President Ferdinand Marcos.

Steph Ayson - AJ Perez' Girfriend, AJ Perez' Cause of Death, AJ Perez' Death Premonitions

Posted by JED on , under | comments (48)

Steph Ayson - The girlfriend in grief.

AJ Perez' early demise causes hurt and pain not just to his parents, friends from in and out of showbiz, fans but also to a girlfriend he left behind - Steph Ayson.

As tweeted by AJ's kumpare and one of his mentors in showbiz - Ogie Diaz, Steph was at AJ's wake last night in La Salle Greenhills Chapel, crying very hard.

Ogie also mentioned that according to Mrs. Marivic Perez, Steph is the longest relationship his son AJ had.

Meanwhile, Steph, the loving girlfriend that she is, posted on twitter her love and admiration to his deceased boyfriend hours after he died. "I LOVE YOU BABY @AJPEREZ17"

According to Steph, whose Twitter profile (@stephayson) was previously set to private, she decided to open her Twitter so she could share to the public the AJ that she knows.

Minutes later, she shared this photo of her and AJ during their happy times together.

Cause of Death.

Ogie, who frequent communicates with AJ's dad Mr. Gerardo Perez since the news about the young actor's death surfaced, reveals the true reason of AJ's death.

Premonitions.

On his blogspot site (http://ogiediaz.blogspot.com), Ogie wrote comparisons about AJ's and the late Rico Yan's deaths. To quote:

Pareho silang Kapamilya."

And on his tweet early this morning, Ogie posted: "Sa Dagupan kahapon, tsika ni Kitkat: "Alam mo, bagay ka sa Mula Sa Puso." Aj: "Oo nga eh. Sayang.Pareho pa kaming La Sallista ni Rico Yan."

Mrs. Marivic also felt something wrong is going to happen day before the accident happened. "Napanood ko pa kagabi yung teaser ng MMK ni Aj, ndi ko alam kumba't ako bigla na lang naiyak, kaya tinawagan ko si Dadi.

"Tinanong ko si dadi, bat ang tagal nilang umuwi? Pauwi na raw sila from Dagupan, pero nag-aalala pa rn ako, d ko alam kumbakit balisa ako." Mrs. Perez said.

"A day bago nag-Dagupan si Aj, naglambing pa sya na dun siya matutulog sa kwarto ko, super lambing pa ni AJ, nakakapanibago." Mrs. Perez added.

Mrs. and Mrs. Perez speak.

On his "Paalam, AJ Perez... " article at Pinoy Parazzi, the tv host-columnist tells how Mr. Gerardo Perez narrated what happened:

Sa mga hindi nakakaalam, galing ng Bangus Festival sa Dagupan, Pangasinan si AJ kasama sina Matt Evans at Zaijian Jaranilla para sa Kapamilya Caravan.

Bago lumuwas pa-Maynila ang grupo ay nagkaroon pa ng presscon with the local press, ayon kay Mommy Marivic.

Before 12mn, nag-tweet pa si AJ ng, "On the way home already from Dagupan.Long drive ahead.. Thanks to everybody who watched, thanks to zui for the gifts. And hi again to jarred!"

After an hour, may nag-tweet nang pa-blind item na may isang Kapamilya young actor na namatay sa isang vehicular accident, na-curious kami, tinawagan namin ang isang taga-ABS-CBN, "Si AJ Perez daw!"

Napamura kami.

Ogs, sana, panaginip lang 'to, Ogs.

"Hindi puwede 'to, Ogs.

"Sabi ng asawa ko, on the way na sila. Pero balisa pa rin ako."

Kuwento pa ni Mommy Marivic, "Nagpaalam nga 'yang si AJ nu'ng first week of April kung puwede siyang mag-Boracay with his friends.
