Bela Padilla and Ryza Cenon join him in this sizzling and highly anticipated project.

Regine Velasquez and Dingdong Dantes, another new and interesting tandem, topbill the original romantic-comedy series I Heart You Pare. The program is all set to make audiences laugh, cry and fall in love as it presents an amusing and heartwarming portrayal of the intriguing and colorful world of gays and lesbians.

The Kapuso Station, likewise, makes history as it brings to light the first ever epic-serye, Amaya. Primetime Queen Marian Rivera takes on the challenging role of a woman blessed with superpowers, which she will use to lead her people at a time dominated by men. The network is currently adding its finishing touches to its groundbreaking and well-researched storyline, scheduled to premiere in February.

Last but certainly not least, the return of Captain Barbell takes flight this first quarter of 2011 with actor Richard Gutierrez reprising his dual role as Teng/Captain Barbell. Joining him, together with a new league of extraordinary beings with superpowers, are equally gorgeous Kapuso actresses, Solenn Heusaff, Michelle Madrigal, Sam Pinto, Frencheska Farr and Bianca King among others. Child-wonder Jillian Ward and multi-awarded actor Christopher de Leon are also part of the powerhouse cast.

Meanwhile, a bridal shower tries to turn delivery boys into on-the-spot strippers as the girls ask them to do some grinding while a female accomplice roams around the streets looking for someone to ease HER itch.

Star Records Rules Top Selling Abums of 2010

Last year was indeed a shining year for ABS-CBN’s recording arm, Star Records, as six out of the ten top selling albums of 2010 came from the said network’s subsidiary.

Data coming from Astrovision/Astroplus, one of the leading retail outlets in the country with 54 stores nationwide, showed that Star Records have dominated their list of top 10 selling albums last year. Jovit’s Baldivino’s “Faithfully” owned the top spot. Music industry wide, Jovit’s first album is also the best selling abum of the year. Piolo Pascual’s “Decades 1”, Willie Revillame’s “Ikaw Na Nga,” “I-Star” Anniversary album and Juris’ “Now Playing” landed on the third, fourth, fifth and sixth spots, respectively. The compilation album “60 Taon ng Musika at Soap Opera” took the 8th post.

Music Uplate Live, a late-night musical-interactive show, awarded the six albums last January 7.

This is a strong proof that Star Records has offered nothing but fifteen years of quality music and recording and will continually provide superior and premiere albums through the years.

“Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” “Cars 2” Lead Disney's 2011 Line-up

Walt Disney Studios brings back Capt. Jack Sparrow (“Pirates of the Caribbean”) and Lightning McQueen (“Cars”) in new, big screen adventures to reinforce the studios illustrious line-up for 2011. The new year also marks the first time that Disney will be releasing titles from DreamWorks – led by the action-thrillers “I Am Number Four,” “Real Steel” and “Fright Night.”
The rest of the line-up features the usual reliable offerings which worldwide audiences have come to expect and enjoy from the family-oriented studio.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.” Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Rob Marshall, “On Stranger Tides” captures the fun, adventure and humor that ignited the hit franchise—this time in Disney Digital 3D™. Johnny Depp returns to his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow in an action-packed tale of truth, betrayal, youth and demise.

Cars 2.” From the creators/producers of “Up” and “Ratatouille,” comes the thrilling high-octane new installment of the Cars saga. All the world’s a racetrack as racing superstar Lightning McQueen zooms back into action, with his best friend Mater in tow, to take on the globe’s fastest and finest in the World Grand Prix.

Fright Night.” Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all going on: he’s running with the popular crowd and dating the most coveted girl in his high school. But trouble arrives when Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there’s something not quite right—but everyone, including Charlie’s mom (Toni Collette), doesn’t notice.

Real Steel.” A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future, where the sport of boxing has gone hi-tech. Charlie (Hugh Jackman) is a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son to build and train a championship contender.

I Am Number Four.” D.J. Caruso (“Eagle Eye”) helms an action-packed thriller about an extraordinary teen, John Smith (Alex Pettyfer), who is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri (Timothy Olyphant), John encounters his first love (Dianna Agron), powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny.

Tangled.” When the kingdom’s most wanted—and most charming—bandit Flynn Rider hides out in a mysterious tower, he’s taken hostage by Rapunzel, a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynn’s curious captor, who’s looking for her ticket out of the tower where she’s been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade.

The Help.” Set in Mississippi during the 1960s, “The Help” stars Emma Stone as Skeeter, a southern society girl who returns from college determined to become a writer, but turns her friends’ lives—and a small Mississippi town—upside down when she decides to interview the black women who have spent their lives taking care of prominent southern families.

Mars Needs Moms.” This animated adventure showcases a young boy’s epic quest to save his mom on a thrilling trip to another world in Disney Digital 3D™ and IMAX® 3D that sees nine-year-old Milo stowing away on a spaceship, navigating an elaborate, multi-level planet and taking on the alien nation and their leader.

Gnomeo & Juliet.” The greatest love story ever told, gnomes? Shakespeare's revered tale gets a comical, off-the-wall makeover. The film features the voices of James McAvoy and Emily Blunt as Gnomeo and Juliet, who have as many obstacles to overcome as their quasi namesakes when they are caught up in a feud between neighbors.

African Cats.” Leaping into theaters on Earth Day 2011, “African Cats” features the real-life love, humor and determination of the kings of the African savanna: Mara, the daughter of an injured, but determined lioness; Sita, a brave cheetah and single mother of five newborn cubs; and Kali, a lion once banished from his pride, who returns with his five sons to reclaim his home.
“Winnie the Pooh.” Walt Disney Animation Studios returns to the Hundred Acre Wood with the first big-screen Pooh adventure from Disney animation in more than 35 years. With the charm, wit and whimsy of the original featurettes, this all-new movie reunites audiences with the philosophical “bear of very little brain” and friends Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Kanga, Roo— and last, but certainly not least, Eeyore, who has lost his tail.

Prom.” Every couple at prom night has a story and no two are exactly alike. Several intersecting stories unfold at one high school as the big dance approaches. The movie portrays the precarious passage from high school to independence as some relationships unravel and others ignite.

The Muppets.” On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways.

War Horse.” From director Steven Spielberg comes this epic adventure for audiences of all ages. Set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War, “War Horse” begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him. When they are forcefully parted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets—British cavalry, German soldiers, and a French farmer and his granddaughter—before the story reaches its emotional climax in the heart of No Man’s Land.

Justin Bieber Covers VANITY FAIR February 2011 Issue

Justin Bieber opens up about his legions of female fans, naysayers waiting for him to fall, and the reason why girls can’t get enough of him, as he covers the February issue of Vanity Fair magazine.

Bieber, who was reportedly recently seen kissing rumored girlfriend Selena Gomez, talks about his fans, saying that he has no problem having mostly female fans. “For younger guys, it’s like [they think] they’re not cool if they come to my concert. That’ll [change], I think; it’ll happen, maybe when I’m 18. But meanwhile all their girlfriends are coming to watch me,” he tells Vanity Fair’s Lisa Robinson.

As for those who do not appreciate his meteoric rise to stardom, Bieber says that he cannot please everyone. “Of course, I think that people are just waiting for that time when I make a mistake and they’re gonna jump on it….There’s gonna be haters,” he says.

And for those wondering if Bieber knows the reason why girls scream when they see him, this is what the 16-year-old from Canada has to say. “Not trying to be arrogant, but if I walked down the street and a girl saw me, she might take a look back because maybe I’m good-looking, right?

Sarah Geronimo ‘Sino Nga Ba Siya?’ Music Video and Lyrics

Sarah Geronimo releases the music video of her latest single “Sino Nga Ba Siya?” off of her upcoming all-OPM album from Viva Records.

“Sino Nga Ba Siya?” is written by Vehnee Saturno while the music video is directed by Paul Alexei Basinillo.

Sino Nga Ba Siya? - Music Video and Lyrics:

'di ko inisip na mawawala ka pa
Akala ko'y panghabang-buhay na kapiling ka
Lahat na yata 'binigay para sa 'yo
Ngunit parang may pagkukulang pa ako

Sino nga ba s'ya sa puso mo
At kaya mong saktan ang tulad ko
Gayong lahat-lahat ng akin
At pag-ibig ay 'binigay sa'yo

Sino nga ba siya't iniwan mo
Iniwan mong bigo ang tulad ko
May pagkukulang ba ako't

May pagkukulang ba ako't
Nagagawang saktan ang puso ko

Sino nga ba s'ya sa puso mo
At kaya mong saktan ang tulad ko
Gayong lahat-lahat ng akin
At pag-ibig ay 'binigay sa'yo

Sino nga ba siya't iniwan mo
Liniwan mong bigo ang tulad ko
May pagkukulang ba ako't
Nagagawang saktan ang puso ko..

Based on Kantar Media's TV ratings data, ABS-CBN topped all TV stations for the whole of 2010 with an audience share of 43 percent, or 10 points higher than GMA's 33 percent.

Eighteen out of the top 20 most watched programs nationwide were produced by ABS-CBN.

The phenomenal primetime series “May Bukas Pa,” which told the story of a boy named Santino (played by Zaijian Jaranilla), took the top spot with an average rating of 38.6%. It was followed by the follow up santaserye starring Andi Eigenmann, “Agua Bendita” (37.9%), and hit talent-reality show “Pilipinas Got Talent” (35.3%).

International Emmy-nominated series “Dahil May Isang Ikaw” (34.8%) came in fourth while “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo” (34.3%), which marked the return of Kris Aquino and Gabby Concepcion in a drama series, placed fifth.

When it comes to news, “TV Patrol” dominated 2010 with an average rating of 31.2%, making it the number one TV newscast in the country. GMA's “24 Oras” averaged only 21.5% or nine points behind “TV Patrol.”

Also included in the top 20 most watched programs for 2010 are “Noah” (32%), “Katorse” (30.3%), “Agimat presents Pepeng Agimat” (29.9%), “Habang May Buhay” (28.7%), “Pinoy Big Brother Double Up” (28.5%), “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (28.3%), “Imortal” (28.2%), “Mara Clara” (27.8%), “Agimat presents Tonyong Bayawak” (26.8%), “The Singing Bee” (26.5%), “Rated K” (25.6%), and “Agimat presents Elias Paniki” (25.5%).

In December 2010, ABS-CBN posted an average audience share of 37% as compared to GMA 7’s 32%.

ABS-CBN Corporation, the country’s largest multimedia conglomerate, generated net income of P2.9 billion for the first nine months of 2010, as it sustained into the third quarter the strong growth momentum in regular advertising revenues in the first semester. This profit level is more than double the net income of P1.3 billion in the first nine months of 2009.

Kantar Media, a global market research group, offers audience research measurement systems in 32 countries. It started releasing its Philippine television audience measurement data in February 2009 with panels composed of 1,370 representative households covering urban Philippines and reporting on seven sectors namely the National Capital Region, North Luzon, Central Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

ABS-CBN shifted to Kantar Media/TNS after filing a case vs. AGB Nielsen Media Research for failing to comply with its request to investigate alleged cheating and data tampering in TV ratings. The case is still pending in court.

Cristina Garcia Asks People To 'Practice Puppy Love: Spay or Neuter'

New PETA Ad Addresses Stray Dog Overpopulation!

Model Cristina Garcia, who stars in a brand-new ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Asia, knows the way to a puppy's heart: spaying and neutering. Appearing with Rover, a dog who was abandoned at the Philippine Animal Welfare Society's (PAWS) animal shelter, Garcia asks Filipinos to help solve the country's companion animal overpopulation problem by having their cats and dogs sterilized. Having a dog or cat spayed or neutered shows true love, and it can even be a matter of life and death. There are countless dogs and cats on the street, and an animal without a home is vulnerable to injury, abuse, starvation, disease, and an early death.

Although people may be reluctant to spay and neuter their animal companions, the fact is that sterilization is both the easiest and the most effective means available of ensuring animals’ happiness and safety,” says Garcia. “Consider the fate of the millions of unwanted animals who roam the streets of the Philippines whose parents were never spayed and neutered.”

Born into a hostile world, unwanted animals are caged among strangers at animal shelters or, worse, abandoned on the sides of roads. They are run over by cars and attacked by other animals. They are infected with painful, contagious, and deadly diseases. Those unlucky enough to run into cruel humans are often drowned, beaten with baseball bats, suffocated in plastic bags, stabbed, shot, starved, set on fire, and tortured in countless other ways,” Garcia continues. “And the saddest tragedy of all is that before they meet some gruesome death, they reproduce, and the cycle of animal suffering continues. The best way to save the lives of homeless animals is to reduce their numbers through spaying and neutering your companion animals.

Dogs who have not been spayed or neutered are much more likely to bite and display dominance and territorial or aggressive behavior than dogs who have been sterilized.

"Many of us wish that we could take in all the animals who are waiting in animal shelters for a warm place of their own," says PETA Asia Director Jason Baker. "But the sad truth is that as long as people continue to let their dogs and cats breed—and as long as they keep buying animals from pet stores—many, many animals will face death at a young age."
