Kapamilya and Kapuso Hunks Bare Their Skins in the 10th Cosmo Bachelor Bash

Posted by JED on , under | comments (0)

Wild beasts and even wilder boys combined for a scorching-hot evening at the World Trade Center last night, September 9, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Cosmo Bachelor Bash.

The party dubbed as Wild DoMENation not only featured this year's batch of savage studs but also tapped favorite hunks from the past decade.

Leading the pack in this year's celebrity centerfolds is Kapamilya heartthrob Sam Milby, whose well-defined torso was made even more prominent because of his tanned look. He initially wore a black vest on the ramp but he tossed it to the crowd before he walked down the ramp, eliciting cheers from the jampacked audience. The iDOL star graced the cover of the Cosmo Men supplement that is included in the September issue of Cosmopolitan.

The other celebrity centerfolds had their own way of teasing the crowd that night.

Kapuso Joross Gamboa showed off his muscles that he worked hard to develop.

Stage actor and MYX VJ finalist Marco Mañalac initially wore pants on the ramp but when he reached the end, he ripped the pants off to reveal black briefs underneath!
Bryann Foronda, the winner of the Cosmo Steamy Stud contest, gave a bow to the audience.

Brazilian-Japanese model and Kapuso actor Fabio Ide knelt down on the ramp and poured water on his body.

Kapuso young actor Rocco Nacino did a breakdancing routine on the ramp and when he reached the end of the ramp, water poured from the ceiling of the World Trade Center, drenching the StarStruck V alumnus.

Kapamilya actor Matteo Guidicelli waved to Maja Salvador who was seated near the ramp before proceeding to be drenched by water coming from the ceiling.

Another Kapuso hunk, Carl Guevara lowered his pants to partly reveal his butt.

Kapamilya star and Asian Pop sensation Christian Bautista emerged from the backstage wearing shades but he threw it towards the photographers and camera men located on the right side of the stage.

For the opening number, a muscular guy inside a primitive looking cage attempted to break free from its confines. When he finally broke free, it was revealed to be 2009 celebrity centerfold and Kapuso prized possession Aljur Abrenica.

In line with the wild theme of the night, one model walked on the catwalk with an eagle perched on his arm. The huge bird tried to fly away but it was kept in place by a rope tied to the model's arm.

One of the highlights of the event was the sudden "flight" of Kapamilya hunk actor Rafael Rosell. The actor went to the middle of the ramp where a production staff attached a cable to his back. Rafael was then hoisted up in the air, allowing the ABS-CBN star to float above the awestruck crowd.

Kapuso stars who are a previous celebrity centerfolds such as Jay-R, JC Tiuseco, Luis Alandy, and Daniel Matsunaga walked the catwalk once again to show their buff bodies.

Tom Rodriguez, Hermes Bautista
, Johan Santos and Paul Jake Castillo - the former housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Double Up—wore elaborate pieces that resembled wings. Reality show contestants Jommy Teotico and Manuel Chua of Pinoy Fear Factor also made an appearance.

StarStruck boys Steven Silva, Prince Stefan, Ian Batherson, and Dion Ignacio showed that they too have what it takes to bare in front of screaming ladies. Other celebrity hunks who participated were Kapamilya stars Kenji Shirakawa, Baron Geisler, Carlo Aquino, Guji Lorenzana, and Rodjun Cruz.

Singers showed another side of themselves when they agreed to pose shirtless during the highly anticipated event. Ronnie Liang, Kean Cipriano of Callalily, and Tutti of 6Cyclemind elicited cheers even without breaking out into a song.

The show was hosted by TV personality and model Joey Mead, who also facilitated the sexy games before the actual program. This year's Cosmo Bachelor Bash was directed by Rico Gutierrez, the same director of GMA-7's noontime variety show Party Pilipinas. The hot hunks were styled by Project Runway Philippines runner-up Santi Obcena.

Cristine Reyes, Megan Young, Maja Salvador, Alessandra de Rossi, Saab Magalona, and director Joyce Bernal were some of the personalities who watched the Cosmo Bachelor Bash along with many other fun, fearless females who certainly got their fill of eye candy.

Meet the Cast of the Newest Cinderellaserye of GMA Telebabad, Grazilda

Posted by JED on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 , under | comments (0)

She is one of the evil step sisters who condemned Cinderella to a life of drudgery. The princess who forced her feet into the glass slipper but failed to marry the Prince.

She is Grazilda, the wicked antagonist in the classic fairy tale who will become the unlikely heroine in GMA Network’s original fantasy-drama series of the same title.

Beginning September 13, GMA brings all the magic of the Cinderella story back to life with a modern twist of the untold story of the step sister Grazilda. An absorbing and provocative drama that promises to inspire and steal the televiewers’ heart away on the Telebabad block.

And to reprise the coveted-title role of Grazilda is no less than multitalented and ravishing actress Glaiza de Castro. With her range of emotions and supreme acting caliber in various Kapuso afternoon and primetime soaps, Glaiza is primed to land her first starring role in this enthralling drama series.

Playing Glaiza's prince charming in the series is GMA's equally talented and prized leading man, Geoff Eigenmann. He plays the role of Eric, the handsome mortal who will become Grazilda’s knight in shining armor in the story. Geoff takes on a major role as he works side by side with Glaiza in this sweeping primetime offering.

The story opens from a fairy tale land called Fantasia. Grazilda, along with her step mom Matilda and step sister Anatalia, always makes Cinderella’s life miserable. She tries to disrupt Cinderella and Prince Charming's wedding but through her sister’s kind-hearted Fairy God Mother, she will be banished to the mortal world.

Here, she meets her long-lost father, Fernando and ends up living with her evil step mother Veronne and mean step sisters Cindy and Tonette. They maltreat Grazilda and make her do demeaning work in the household.

Despite the cruelty of life bestowed upon her, Grazilda remains brave and steadfast in the hopes of staying close to her father. She also needs to get hold of the snow globe, the only link that can transport her back to Fantasia, which is now in Veronne’s possession.

From then on, Grazilda lives a life that of Cinderella’s. A reversal of fortune happens and the clear antagonist of the story turns into a modest protagonist.

How will her stay in the mortal world change the course of her life? Will she ever find her real-life Prince Charming? Will Grazilda also have her own Fairy God Mother who will protect her from the viciousness of her step mom and step sisters?

This much awaited soap is led by a stellar cast of the country’s most bankable artists including three seasoned actors who will spice up Grazilda’s life in Fantasia and the real world: Cherie Gil as Veronne, Grazilda’s step mother in the mortal world; Rio Locsin as Matilda, Grazilda’s mother in Fantasia; and Joel Torre as Fernando, the real father of Grazilda and Anatalia.

Completing the all-star cast are Jolina Magdangal as the loving Fairy God Mother of Cinderella; Yasmien Kurdi as Cindy, Grazilda’s evil step sister in the real world; Stef Prescott as Tonette, Cindy’s spoiled younger sister who will also make Grazilda’s life a living hell; Dyanin Cruz as Anatalia, the other evil step sister of Cinderella in Fantasia; Bhodie Cruz as Ben, Eric’s good friend; Dominic Roco as Vicente, Prince Charming’s right-hand man; Benedict Campos as Prince Charming, Angeli Nicole Sanoy as Jik Jik, Grazilda’s friend in the mortal world and introducing Gwen Zamora in her very first acting stint on television as Cinderella.

Director Dominic Zapata together with second unit director Ricky Davao sit at the helm of Grazilda with a top-notch production headed by Kit Villanueva-Langit as Headwriter, Chito Sumera for production design, and fabulous costumes made by Jerome Ang and Young Designers Group.

Witness the most enchanting modern interpretation of the beloved classic that captivated our hearts in Grazilda, beginning Monday, September 13 on GMA Telebabad.
