LJ Reyes is 6-months Pregnant. Who's the Culprit?

Posted by JED on Thursday, April 15, 2010 , under | comments (0)

Confirmed na ang tsismis that revolves around the four corners of GMA-7 compound. Yes, LJ Reyes is 6-months pregnant and not sick as what her camp was previously announced.

The revelation came straight from the mouth of GMA Network's SVP for Entertainment TV na si Ms. Wilma Galvante sa interview nito kanina sa Chika Minute segment ng news program na "24 Oras".

LJ is expected to give birth in the U.S. on July.

LJ and Paulo are both products of reality-talent show Starstruck. LJ was part of Batch 2 , while Paulo came from Batch 4.

Glee Episode 14 Recap – "Hell-o" Episode

Posted by JED on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 , under | comments (3)

Well, first things first. Sue is back like we all knew she would be. After feeding the principal some questionable drugs, getting under the covers until he wakes up, and threatening to twitpic a picture of them to his wife, Sue manages to blackmail her way back into the school. Woohoo! I loves me some Sue. She’s the only one smacking Will verbally when he needs it. To Sue’s delight, Glee’s club status is still not safe. Winning Sectionals meant nothing. If they don’t place at Regionals, then the club is gone. Positivity! Sue would see this as nothing more than a challenge Schuester! It’s motivation!

Rachel is more enthusiastic about her new relationship with Finn. She’s predictably unaware that she’s his obvious rebound and he could care less. He’s not over Quinn and he very bluntly lets Rachel know. Poor girl can never catch a break. Finn acts like such a boob sometimes. Sue convinces Santana and Brittany to go after Finn to help break Rachel’s spirit a little more. Finn is blinded by the double cheerleader sundae that just came his way and he agrees to a date. After a hilarious dinner date complete with spaghetti and very meaningful conversation, they’re unable to seduce Finn properly. Point 1 for Finn. He declares his independence with a performance of Hello, I love you by The Doors. I was dying at the look on Kurt’s face. I’m not usually crazy about his voice but I really liked this one. Until he totally blew off Artie’s high five at the end there. Not cool Finn. Not cool.

Obviously after all of this, Rachel is not a happy camper. And when she’s pissed, she makes it known. After a couple of death glares in Finn’s direction, she performs Gives You Hell by All American Rejects. It’s basically one big eff you to Finn. Everyone joins in and it starts to get really catchy. I missed seeing them all together. The rest of the group doesn’t get enough screen time. I was especially thrilled when Mike (Other Asian to Sue) got the chance to show us his moves and Rachel serenaded a blushing Artie. Will doesn’t love it however, and Rachel goes off in search of a more suitable song.

She heads to the library and runs into Jesse St. James, lead male vocalist of Vocal Adrenaline. Why, hello there indeed Mr. St. James. They end up performing an impromptu duet of Hello by Lionel Richie. In the library. With random violin players who just happen to be there. Suspension of disbelief aside, it’s a great song. I really enjoy having another male powerhouse on the show. Poor Rachel is already in love with him and is blind to the fact that he’s probably using her. The rest of Glee knows what’s up and threaten to quit if she doesn’t leave him. She pretends she has and it can only get more interesting from here.

Last but not least we have Schue and Emma. Everyone’s favorite adorable couple. For awhile anyway. They have their first date and things go south real quick (no pun intended) when Emma confesses to Will that she’s a virgin. Aww! She was hoping Will would still love her despite all her quirks but it couldn’t be more obvious that Will isn’t happy by this news. Pssht. Will turns around and meets with the vocal coach of Vocal Adrenaline. Surprise appearance by Idina Menzel! Before you know it they’re both back on Will’s couch making out. Poor Emma. Will’s a jerk! She slowly starts to realize he’s really not ready for a relationship when Terri shows up to mess with her and fill her head with doubts. Emma tells Will he should probably be alone for awhile. Translation, get your shiz together and stop being such a weiner!

The episode ends with the group getting together to perform Hello Goodbye by The Beatles. Everyone feels the message of the song and start evaluating their recent decisions. Ken is obviously crying his eyes out to this song while he "pulls a Jessica Simpson" by gaining 40 pounds and not showering.

What did you guys think of this episode? What do you think are Jesse’s motives? Will Rachel wise up? Will Terri get even? Will Kurt and Finn finally make out?

John Estrada - Bing Loyzaga Scandal?

Posted by JED on , under | comments (2)

Blind Item: Who is this Kapatid-chickboy-hunk na nakita diumanong nag-checkin sa isang hotel sa Quezon City kasama ang isang Kapamilyang singer-actress na ex-wife ng isang Kapuso-singer-host?

Answer: Take it from Cristy Fermin of TV5's Paparazzi.

According sa walang katakot-takot at walang kadala-dalang si Tita Cristy during the first episode of TV5's new showbiz oriented talk show program na Paparazzi, ang guy diumano ay si John Estrada na isa ng Kapatid at ang girl ay ex-wife ng isang singer-host na laging nale-late. She even mentioned that "bigay na bigay" na ang clue kailangan nalang i-translate sa English ang "bigay na bigay" na sinagot naman ng kanyang co-host na si Ruffa (Gutierrez) in a question mark-feeling innocent look na "give?" as in "Gibb?".

Watch Cristy Fermin's interview with Estrada and Paparazzi's hosts talking about the person involved in the news:

Although walang confirmation from Tita Cristy, isn't it quite obvious na ang sinasabi nyang girl ay si Bing Loyzaga na nakasama ni John sa Kapamilya teleserye na "Dahil May Isang Ikaw" at ex-wife (?) ng Kapuso singer-host na si Janno Gibbs na may reputation sa showbiz na laging late sa kanyang mga showbiz engagement?

And today, in the article titled "Who’s the unidentified woman that John dated?" in another showbiz website stir.ph, the actress was bravely identified as "Bing Loyzaga".

Although it is hard to believe na may relasyon nga ang dalawa, to think na John is publicly showing his love to his beautiful fiancée Priscilla Meirelles, we can't argue the fact that Bing is still as desirable as ever and John is so hot still.

My thoughts on this? Whether this is true or not, kung saan sila masaya...Go!

The world premiere happens today on Oprah Winfrey website. The world famous host-philanthropist also reportedly invited Charice to "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on May 11 to launch and perform her album.

Pyramid - Official Music Video:

The song "Pyramid" features contemporary R&B artist Iyaz (Keidran Jones in real life) and was co-wrote by Drew Ryan Scott.

Her international debut album "Charice" with Warner Records label is scheduled for a May 11, 2010 release.

Gretchen Barretto's 'MMK Episode' Wins Over Claudine Barretto's 'Claudine'

Posted by JED on Monday, April 12, 2010 , under | comments (0)

Maliwanag pa sa sikat ng araw, La Greta defeated her younger sister Claudine in last Saturday night's "Clash of the Barretto Sisters" on Philippine TV.

TNS National TV Ratings

MMK (ABS-CBN) - 31.4%
Claudine (GMA-7) -14.7%

AGB Mega Manila Ratings

MMK (ABS-CBN) - 21.5%
Claudine (GMA-7) -16.6%

Both programs had each own pluses and minuses, gaya ng:

But despite all of these critiques and rating results, tama pa ring sabihin na panalo pa rin pareho sina Gretchen at Claudine dahil na-dominate ng parehong Barretto ang Saturday primetime drama slot ng dalawang biggest television station in the Philippines.

Brazilian Hunks Akihiro Sato, Daniel Matsunaga and Fabio Ide Heat-up the Summer Even More in "D' Survivors"

Posted by JED on , under | comments (2)

A new independent film outfit called Astral Productions has given young filmmaker Adolfo Alix Jr. a respite from the real stories he has been churning out since his directorial debut. His first foray in filmmaking was the Cinemalaya entry Donsol, followed by his acclaimed films Kadin, Tambolista, Manila, Daybreak, and Adela. Director Alix is also one of the writers of the comedy hit D' Anothers starring Vhong Navarro.

This 2010, Direk Adolf tries his hand at directing a screwball comedy where anything goes and nothing is predictable.

D' Survivors is a humorous take on the popular reality show of adventurous, young people faced with life-and-death situations that test their mettle–physical strength, human disposition and character. Interestingly, D' Survivors was shot on the very same islands where the Survivor of other franchise countries are shot: in the pristine Caramoan Islands, Camarines Sur.

On their way to Babuyan Island for a pictorial, a group of models are stranded on an unknown island. Chaos reigns as they try to survive along with the other castaways.

The spoof movie boasts a breath-taking locale, a paradise island of blue waters, white sands and lush green vegetation; and a handful of beautiful people, mostly supermodels, and talented comedians, who all let their hair down, so to speak, and came up with a real-funny rib tickler.

Brazilian-Japanese heartthrobs Akihiro Sato, Daniel Matsunaga, Fabio Ide with Pinoy hotties Rocky Salumbides, Lemuel Pelayo, Don Mendoza, Jubail Andres, Aaron Tuiza, and Kerbie Zamora star in D' Survivors with newcomer Darlene Anderson.

(From L-R: Akihiro Sato, Daniel Matsunaga, Fabio Ide)

They are supported by seasoned comedians K Brosas, Divine Tetay, theater veteran Marife Necessito and comedienne Evelyn Vargas, who is making her showbiz comeback.

D' Survivors - Movie Trailer:

Director Adolfo Alix Jr., who recently cited by The Hollywood Reporter in its Next Generation Asia List as one of the 20 young movers in the Asian entertainment region (filmmakers below 35), helms this comedy.

D' Survivors is coming soon this April.
