Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson in My Only Hope (plus Cast and Teaser Trailers)

Due to the huge success of their primetime teleserye "My Girl" in the ratings, ABS-CBN is bringing back the KIMERALD loveteam on their next TV team-up called "My Only Hope".

Gerald will portray the character of Emo Boy named James and Kim as Hope, also known as Miss Sunshine.

But just like any other loveteams, the two will be trapped into a love triangle. But this time it's not only one but two love triangles - with the presence of Nina Jose as the Scarred Beauty Kris and Enchong Dee as Boy Next Door Philip, who were also the two's second love interests on My Girl.

It will also be a reunion project for the cast of My Girl as they are bringing back the three other stars from the said series. Alex Gonzaga as Cathy the Yoga Diva, David Chua is the Mama's Boy and her Royal Hotness Regine Angeles.

Also joining them are Be Bench Model Search winner Carlo Guevara as a Lover Boy and basketball hottie Xian Lim as the OC Kuya, who also made a cameo appearance as a wedding photographer on My Girl.

My Only Hope is directed by Rahyan Carlos (Former head of GMA Artist Center Acting Workshop) and Jojo Saguin of ABS-CBN defunct show "Astigs".

Angelina Jolie in The Changeling - Movie Trailer

Angelina Jolie stars in the new Clint Eastwood film, The Changeling, opposite John Malkovich.

The movie is based on the real-life story of working class single mother Christine Collins (Angelina), whose nine-year-old son Walter goes missing.

Five months later a child claiming to be the boy is returned and police are eager to bask in a public relations coup of reuniting mother and son. Christine takes the boy home, but knows in her heart he is not Walter.

The film is set in Los Angeles in 1928 and tells how the woman’s invincible spirit brought down a police department and ushered in a new era of equality. She finds an ally in community activist Gustav Briegleb (John). In her search for answers, Christine becomes an unlikely heroine for those who have been swept aside.

The Changeling opens in theatres on October 24.

Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn in Four Christmases - Movie Trailer

Reese Witherspoon and costar Vince Vaughn are wrapped up in ribbon in the new poster for their holiday movie, Four Christmases.

The film is a romantic comedy and tells the story of a young couple, each of whose parents divorce and then marry other people. This leaves the newlyweds with four parental households to visit over the course of Christmas Day.

Four Christmases will hit theatres worldwid on November 26.

Charice on her second guesting at Oprah Winfrey Show last September 9 finally got the biggest surprise of her life as she finally got to meet the legendary singing superstar through satellite feed. Charice cried in surprise when Celine's face filled the giant screen. Charice was shaking as Celine greeted her.

"Hi Charice. I have to tell you that I'm speechless," Celine said. "I have heard you sing. I have seen a little of your life story and I am extremely ecstatic like the rest of the world who's watching right now.

"I can't tell you that we have lots of things in common and I also had a mother who is my strength. My passion I carry in my heart and so my beauty—and David Foster, you can't even think about finding somebody even better than that to bring the best out of you. You have more talent than most people. You can sing, you can speak and sing with your heart, you can play guitar...and you can have dreams because your life story is quite a painful one. Thank God your strength comes from your mother and your heart will go on."

Being greeted by Celine Dion herself was just half the surprise. Charice could hardly believe that Celine, who was set to perform in Madison Square Garden in New York next week, invited her personally to perform with her.

"I would love to do something very special with you," Celine began. "And if I may I would love to propose something. I would love to do something very special with you. Next week, I'm gonna be singing at Madison Square Garden and I would love to ask you to come and sing a duet with me. And we can sing together. Maybe we can sing "Because You Loved Me", and maybe we can dedicate this song to your mother. So I hope you can travel to New York and meet with me."

Charice was speechless on hearing Celine's invitation. In the end, Charice could only utter, "Thank you."

Kris Aquino Apologizes to Charlene Gonzales on Her "Pa-Star Ka!" Comment

TV show host-actress Kris Aquino is known for being tactless in making remarks about people. In fact, she used to land on the headlines for her unsolicited comments. Last week, at a show of fashion designer Randy Ortiz, Kris once again stole the scene.

In Dolly Anne Carvajal's entertainment column yesterday, September 9, she reported, "At the gala show of Randy Ortiz, Kris snapped at Charlene [Gonzalez-Muhlach], ‘Pa-star ka!' just because the color of Charl's gown was different from the set motif."

Apparently, the motif for the event was black and white. Charlene wore a blue and dark brown outfit.

However, in an interview with TV Patrol World's Mario Dumaual aired earlier tonight, September 10, Randy Ortiz explained that there was really no color motif set for the event. He also had no intention to make Charlene different from the other celebrities. He added that the TV show host had fitted her outfit even before she went to an OFW event in Dubai. The fashion designer also believed that Kris was just joking Charlene.

This was also the explanation of Kris in a text message sent to TV Patrol World. She said that her mistake was that she cracked a joke at someone who is not close to her. Also in the same message, the Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal host recalled the issue between her and Charlene about the cancelation of the latter's weekend program.

The text message read, "Di ba nga when her show in ABS was cancelled, ako'ng napagbintangan na dahilan and I already answered na di naman ako nagkaroon ng weekend show."

Kris continued, "Obviously, she doesn't like me and my mistake was I gave her another reason to dislike me."

At the end of the message, Kris wrote, "Iniintindi ko na lang. I joked with the wrong person, so I apologized right away."

On the other hand, Charlene chose to keep mum about the issue. Her mother, Elvie Gonzales, hopes that this would serve as a lesson to everyone—to carefully choose the person that's the butt of a joke.

Oprah makes a dream come true for the teen sensation Charice Pempengco whom she calls "The Most Talented Girl in the World."

Oprah's crew went all the way to the Philippines to discover the life of Charice which she featured in her September 9 episode "Dream Comes True" with her special guest, no less than, Charice itself.

Charice cried a tear when Oprah gave her the opportunity to talk to her idol Celine Dion via livestream straight from Washington DC....and yes, the legendary diva made a proposal that Charice can't resist - a duet with her on her Madison Square Garden concert on September 15.

Britney Spears picked up three prizes at the MTV Video Music Awards 2008 held last Sunday, September 07 at Paramount Pictures Studios.

The singer – who is slowly getting her career back on track following a public breakdown earlier this year – looked stunning in a tight silver Versace dress as she took to the stage to open the Los Angeles ceremony, before accepting the trio of accolades.

As she picked up her first award for Best Female Video for ‘Piece of Me’, Britney – who has two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, with ex-husband Kevin Federline - said: “I'm speechless. Oh, my goodness, thank you! I first want to thank God for blessing me like this and my family... my two beautiful boys for inspiring me every day.”

After winning Best Pop Video for the same track later in the evening, Britney hugged her manager Larry Rudolph before going up to collect her statuette.

The 26-year-old singer – who had never won a ‘Moonman’, the nickname given to the distinctive silver awards, before – completed the evening by winning the third award for which she was nominated, the biggest honor of the evening, Video of the Year.

She said: “I'm in shock right now! I want to dedicate this to all my fans.”

Despite rumors the ‘Gimme More’ singer was going to perform at the ceremony, Britney left the singing to her pop rival Christina Aguilera who wowed fans with her hit track ‘Genie In A Bottle’ and new single ‘Keeps Gettin' Better’.

Other stars who performed included the Jonas Brothers, and Kanye West – who closed the ceremony by singing an unreleased track for fans.

Erik Santos and Christian Bautista Together in an Album Called "Face-Off"

"Prince of Pop" Erik Santos and "Asia's Pop Idol" Christian Bautista will do a collaboration album called Face-Off which is set for release late this month.

The album will contain 18 tracks of their hit songs and two original songs.

“We wanted to do something new this year. So, this is one of them… a collaboration,” said Christian.

“Erik and I decided to work together para maipakita sa mga fans namin what we can do together,” he continued.

According to Eric, “Excited ako to do this project kasi first time lang namin ni Christian magsasama sa isang concept at concert na kami lang talagang dalawa. Sa Pilipinas kasi, lagi na lang ang nagbaback-to-back ay kung hindi boy at girl, parehong girls. Ngayon, parehong lalake naman.”

The album will be produced by Star Records and Warner Music Philippines, the same producer of Erik and Christian's November concert also entitled "Face-Off".

TV5 is Now Philippines Third Most Watched TV Channel

TV5, the television channel previously known as ABC 5, is now the number 3 most watched station nationwide, according to a survey conducted by AGB Nielsen Media Research data on National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM).

In its first week or airing, TV5 captured 3.7% of viewership in key cities according to the survey on Channel Household Shares Week 33.

ABS-CBN 2 placed first at 42.2% and GMA-7 landed on the second spot at 37.3%.

The study revealed stiff competition between TV5 and RPN 9, which placed fourth at 2.7%.

TV5 is the new brand name of ABC 5, which entered into a "long-term block airtime agreement" with MPB Primedia Inc., local subsidiary of the Malaysian conglomerate Media Prima Berhad.

Jun Lalin reported on his Abante column last Friday that Rizza Santos made Ruffa Gutierrez and the whole I Love Betty La Fea staff waited for her for 5 long hours in one of their tapings last week.

"Nakiusap ang handler ni Riza na ‘yung 7:00 PM calltime ng dalaga ay ma-move nang 9:00 PM.Pinagbigyan ng staff ang handler ni Riza nila kahit nahihiya sila kay Ruffa Gutierrez na naghihintay na sa set.Pagsapit ng 9:00 PM, wala pa rin si Riza. Ang paliwanag ng handler ay hindi pa mai-release si Riza sa meeting nito with Boss Vic del Rosario.Nang mag-11:00 PM na ay dumating sa set si Riza.Dumiretso sa standby area ang dalaga. Hindi siya lumapit sa mga artistang nandoon para mag-apologize sa sobrang pagka-late niya.Nang kukunan na ang eksena, hindi nag-apologize si Riza sa staff at sa kanilang direktor.Nang matapos kunan ang eksena nila ni Ruffa,. pinagsabihan ng TV host/ actress si Riza na dapat matuto itong maging professional at hindi dapat nale-late.Ang ikinaloka ng mga tao sa set, parang clueless si Riza sa reaksyon ni Ruffa.Ang dialogue daw ni Riza, hindi niya alam na late siya dahil walang sinasabi ang kanyang handler.Kaya raw hindi siya nag-apologize sa mga tao sa set ay dahil wala siyang kaalam-alam na late siya."

Judy Ann Santos Stars in Halloween Movie "Mag-ingat Ka Sa Kulam"

The young superstar and multi-awarded actress Judy Ann Santos collaborates with Regal Films in celebration of the company's 48th anniversary offering titled Mag-ingat ka sa...Kulam.

"We made sure that the Regal trademark of excellence is carried through in our films that's why I am proud to have the best actors and actresses, the best creative and production people; and even the best technical and special effects staff in our anniversary movie. We owe nothing but the best for our audiences who have supported our movies throughout our 48 years of providing topnotch entertainment to all the Filipinos worldwide," declares Mother Lily Monteverde, the matriarch of Regal Films.

Judy Ann's first project with Regal was the 1996 flick Sana Naman. This was followed by a string of movies with Regal and Judy Ann becoming a formidable combination.

"Malaki ang utang na loob ko sa Regal na siyang sumugal at nagtiwala sa aking very first bida role sa pelikula," recounts Judy Ann, "although kasama na ako sa mga naunang pelikula nila as the young Dyesebel but it was really Mother Lily who trusted me with my very first starring role, and after that, nagsunud-sunod na ang blessings."

"Malaking bahagi ng buhay ko bilang actress ang Regal at masaya ako at nagbabalik ako through another acting challenge sa Mag-ingat ka sa...Kulam. Aiza Seguerra is hitting it big, international!

The young singer's first international album called "Open Arms"is selling like hotcakes in Singapore where it was first launched and even topping the country's Jazz Chart in three straight weeks. It is also currently being released in other Asian countries like Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan at Thailand.

The album contains all-English revival hit songs like "Open Arms," "Vincent," "Somewhere Down The Road," "Time After Time," "Smooth Operator," "Home," "Journey," at "Longer."

Open Arms is produced by S2S Productions, one of the leading record labels in Singapore.

Melanie Marquez is Eliminated from Celebrity Duets Year 2

Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez became the first casualty in the first elimination of Celebrity Duets Year 2 on Saturday, September 6.

Her duet with Vernie Varga last week of Peggy Lee's hit song "Fever" got the lowest number of text votes from the viewers

She was joined by her brother Joey Marquez, another beauty queen Carlene Aguilar, and fashion designer JC Buendia.

With Melanie's departure, only seven contenders remain: wellness and beauty expert Cory Quirino, fashion designer JC Buendia, MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando, beauty queen Carlene Aguilar, comedian-politician and Melanie's brother Joey Marquez, chef JL Cang, and football player Phil Younghusband.
