"It's been an on-off relationship for 13 years. There is no third party involved on both sides.
"I think it's the age difference. Thirty-nine years old si Anjo, if I remember right, may 10 year difference sila," dagdag pa ni Douglas.
From Jackie's imdb.com entry, she was born March 31, 1981, at kung thirty-nine si Anjo, he was born, April 24, 1968, making their age difference 13 years. Nagkasama sina Anjo at Jackie sa pelikulang Milyonaryong Mini noong 1996 at nagpakasal din sa Las Vegas that same year.
"It's a friendly separation," sabi pa raw ni Anjo kay Douglas. "They will share the children na dalawang nakatatandang babae at dalawang nakababatang lalaki.
"It was waiting to happen for 13 years," ayon pa kay Douglas about the separation. "But parang because of the children kaya ‘di sila makapag-separate."
"I think she topped the exams she took for flight attendant," ayon pa uli kay Douglas. That's why he wants her to pursue her career."

After the press conference of her newest product endorsement, Circulan, at Annabel's restaurant on Timog Avenue, Quezon City, Annabelle sat down with showbiz reporters and explained everything about the rumored transfer of her son/talent Richard.
"Actually, ngayon lang ako magsasalita, ha, kasi never akong nag-comment," Annabelle started her lengthy explanation. "Hindi ba, tinatanong ako, di ba? Never akong nag-comment sa video at saka sa print. "
"Is it because of the talent fee?" asked one of the reporters.
Then, she finally revealed the factor why they have not yet decided to renew their contract.
Kasi ang two years, mahirap 'yang two years, baka every month maghingi ka pa. Mukha kang kawawa, ‘Ano bang klaseng project 'to, di ba?"
This was clarified right away by Jun Lalin, publicist of the Gutierrez family. Speaking on behalf of Annabelle, "Nakakahiya on the part of the Gutierrezes, na baka sabihin we are really entertaining such offer, at nakakahiya rin sa ABS dahil wala naman talagang ganoon.
On the other hand, when Annabelle was asked if the offer was true, she answered, "Actually, yung offer, hindi naman mawawala yun, e."
Then, she said that the "lipatan" issue never came from them nor they were using ABS-CBN to make Richard's talent fee in GMA-7 higher.
Approved lahat yun, walang problema."
"Ayos na. Nag-meeting kami noong isang gabi kaya okay na kami," said Annabelle. "Actually, hindi meeting yun, e. Parang inimbitahan lang nila kaming mag-dinner, kaming mag-asawa [she and husband Eddie Gutierrez], Atty. and Mrs. [Felipe] Gozon, Redgie, at Richard."
At the end, she told the media that she is set to have a meeting with GMA-7's senior vice president for entertainment Wilma Galvante tonight, April 11, to talk about the said problem and hopefully settle everything.
PIOLO PASCUAL Meets Someone in Church: "Hanggang Pag-uwi Ko, Pagtulog...Hanggang Ngayon Iniisip Ko Siya."
"Sana soon," napangiti si Piolo. "Seriously, you know I was in prayer meeting yesterday and I saw someone and she's pretty. Sabi ko, ‘Wow!' She's from our church [Victory Christian Fellowship]."
In-introduce daw sila ng isang common friend nila sa kanilang church and from there, sinimulan nang kilalanin ni Piolo ang background ng babae.
"She's single. Wala siyang showbiz relatives. She's tall and her initials are A.L." Bigla niyang binawi yung huli niyang sinabi, yung initials. Binibiro na pala niya kami sa parteng yun dahil the "A.L." initials stand for Angel Locsin. Pero ayaw niya lang daw talaga ibigay ang buong identity ng babae since she's not from showbiz.
"Sabi ko dun sa common friend namin, hook us up for at least a dinner so we can get to know each other more. At least, get to know the person first, ‘di ba?"
Ito na kaya ang babaeng hinihintay niya? Ito na kaya ang babaeng papakasalan niya?
"My doors are open. I know naman God is preparing someone best for me, and I believe in destiny. I believe that after so many years... I've waited, I deserve naman someone na talagang para sa akin."
"And I wouldn't wanna...parang, just try it out. Just for the sake of being with someone. Because, you know, I didn't wait this long just to fail. So, in few years time, I'll be able to settle down and have a different life," paliwanag ni Piolo na ang tinutukoy ang ang tuluyan nang paglagay sa tahimik o pag-aasawa.
At kelan naman kaya nya balak mag-asawa.?
"In a few years. Hopefully, before I turn 35. I'm 31 now, so, within four years."
During the course of its phenomenal run, the local adaptation of the Mexican hit telenovela Marimar managed to shatter rating records. Aside from consistently dominating the primetime block, the show topbilled by Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes surpassed the longstanding record set by GMA-7's fantaserye, Darna.
Garnering an outstanding 52.6 percent rating in its finale episode last March 14, Marimar beat the 52.1 percent grade previously established by Darna on April 14, 2005 in the Mega Manila race.
But while achieving the 50 percent-plus mark for a finale is definitely exceptional, Marimar still failed to break the record set by ABS-CBN's Maria Flordeluna in its concluding episode back in June 22, 2007—well, at least in the nationwide survey.
As stated in the AGB Nielsen Media Research data, Maria Flordeluna still holds the No. 1 spot in the Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement) NUTAM Top Finale Episodes for 2007-2008.
Maria Flordeluna tells the story of an 11-year-old girl and all of her efforts to keep her family intact despite difficult circumstances. Written by Marcos Navarro Sacol, the drama series was first heard on radio before TV station RPN-9 made a series in the ‘80s starring Janice de Belen.
ABS-CBN adapted Maria Flordeluna, casting child star Eliza Pineda for the lead role, and aired its first episode on February 12, 2007. The series bid farewell on June 22, 2007 with a rating of 49.3 percent nationwide. Marimar, on the other hand, scored an overall rating of 43 percent in its final episode to settle for second place.
Completing the Top 5 are three other Kapamilya programs.
Vhong Navarro's Lastikman, which had its last airing on January 25, 2008, notched a 41.4 percent rating followed by Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson's Sana Maulit Muli with 40.6 percent rating. Completing the list is Sarah Geronimo's Pangarap Na Bituin, which accumulated 40.3 percent.
AGB Nielsen Media Research also provided the results of the top-performing programs during the Holy Week with ABS-CBN occupying the Top 5 positions.
Leading the way is the TV screening of Vilma Santos's 2000 blockbuster film Anak, which aired on a Good Friday. Anak, which was inspired by folk artist Freddie Aguilar's popular hit song during the ‘70s, generated 32.4 percent in the nationwide contest.
Not far behind is Aga Muhlach and Claudine Barretto's 2002 romance-drama flick titled Kailangan Kita, which collected 32.2 percent grade when it was shown on Maundy Thursday. Rounding off the list are Maalaala Mo Kaya, Madrasta, and a dubbed version of Jesus.

Based on the show's teaser for May, this particular episode of Oprah will feature children with stunning talents, including Philippine's very own Charice.
Charice confirmed this in an interview with ABS-CBN News. "Mayroon po akong guesting sa Oprah. Tapos na po akong kumanta para sa isa pong episode ng Oprah," she said. Other than that, she refused to divulge any details about her guest appearance.
The young singer just came from London for her guest appearance in the British talk show, Paul O'Grady Show, last Tuesday, April 8. The format of the show is like that of David Letterman and Jay Leno's. Charice once again belted her signature song, "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going," from the musical Dreamgirls, and once again, the 15-year-old singer mesmerized the audience with her powerful voice.
Rumor has it that Angel Locsin’s next project in the kapamilya network is the tv remake of another Mars Ravelo’s super heroine named 'Varga', considered as one of the first pinoy komiks superheroes.
Actually, Varga is the first Darna. According to Pilipino Komiks:
"In July of 1947, Mars Ravelo created Varga in Bulaklak Magazine. Varga was actually the first Darna, and she also had an alter-ego named Narda. When Ravelo left Bulaklak and was hired in Ace Publications, he re-created Varga and renamed her Darna.
In 1950, Darna appeared in Pilipino Komiks, re-created by Mars Ravelo and superbly illustrated by Nestor Redondo. The first story of Darna tells of her battles against the evil Valentina."
Here is a photo of the original Varga comics courtesy of Pilipino Komiks:
Guess is as good as mine, Varga is set to compete with GMA 7’s 'Captain Barbell Meets Darna'. Abangan!

TV specials made their impact in the nationwide rating contest for the month of March as the summer season officially unfolds. This is according to the latest Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM) results forwarded today, April 9, by AGB Nielsen Media Research.
Manny Pacquiao's anticipated rematch with Mexican foe Juan Manuel Marquez held last March 16 stood out with an impressive 48.6 percent rating to lead the Top Weekend Programs category. In a previous report, the media research firm had already stated that they were already anticipating a good turnout, which is always the case whenever Manny steps on the ring.
Marimar's two separate specials—Marimar Memories and Marimar: Isang Pasasalamat—also fared very well as proven by its 25.9 and 16.1 percent ratings, respectively. The tandem of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes capped off their phenomenal run by garnering a 38.1 percent rating to lead the race in the Top Weekday Programs for primetime. Marimar aired its last episode on March 14 with an extravagant wedding involving its two protagonists.
Speaking of weekdays primetime, ABS-CBN's Kung Fu Kids, Lobo, and Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus occupied the second, third and fourth spot to prove their tight grip in the nationwide contest.
The Kapamilya network's long-running news program TV Patrol World was also a tough nut to crack. Marking its 20th year, TV Patrol's special presentation dubbed as 20 Taon TV Patrol World barged into the No.6 spot with a rating of 31.3 percent while its regular programming secured the eight spot.
Willie Revillame's Wowowee continues to dominate the weekday programs for the daytime category. For the month of March, Wowowee accumulated a strong 22.1 percent rating followed by Edu Manzano's game show Pilipinas, Game KNB? with a grade of 19.8 percent tucked under its belt.
Eat Bulaga's Annual Holy Week special claimed third spot with 18.5 percent. Kristine Hermosa's Prinsesa ng Banyera may not be doing well in Mega Manila but the nationwide results project a different story. Garnering a strong 17.7 percent rating, Prinsesa ng Banyera edged out Mega Manila darlings such as Daisy Siete, Kaputol ng Isang Awit, and Maging Akin Ka Lamang.
For primetime weekend, KC Concepcion's I Am KC lorded over its more experienced foes by topping the category via its 28.8 percent rating. Mega Manila's consistent topnotcher Bitoy's Funniest Videos was locked in a two-way jam with Pinoy Big Brother's Teen Edition Plus: The Big Plus Revealed. Both shows bore identical ratings of 27.6 percent to settle for a bridesmaid finish.
Based on the data, it shows that ABS-CBN programs dominated the NUTAM primetime race while GMA-7 shows ruled the daytime race. Six Kapamilya shows made it in the Top primetime weekday programs while four came from the Kapuso network. In the Top 10 primetime weekend programs, seven are from ABS-CBN and only three from GMA-7.
Meanwhile, among the Top 10 daytime weekday programs, seven are from the Kapuso network and only three made the cut from the Kapamilya network. Six GMA-7 shows and four ABS-CBN programs barged in on the Top 10 daytime weekend programs.

After 13 years, ibinababa na ang hatol.
The Buzz, last Sunday, April 6.
Kaya naman ako nagagalit that time...
Basta ang dami kong ginawa for this week kasi talagang sobra-sobra. ‘Tsaka nakapag-shoot na ako ng bago kong commercial kaya sana suwertehin ako all the way. Magsu-shooting ako ng Monster Mom [her movie with Ruffa] ko next week kaya talagang ano pa, di ba?"
Ang batas nung araw, may kulong na three years.
At least, binabati niya ako, Boy.
‘Tsaka, you know, huwag mo namang siraan ang isang tao na below the belt. Puro pang-imbento.
Wala raw.
Sabi niya, ‘Ay, bruha ka, ‘Day.

The housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus were tasked by kuya to perform an algorithm dance to the tune of “One Kapamilya“, ABS-CBN’s summer theme song. This is their weekly task and they bet 50% of their weekly budget for the said task.
Unfortunately, the housemates lost 50% of their budget for next week as they failed in their weekly task. Find out why.
As part of last night’s program, 3 guardians were evicted live from Pinoy Big Brother house. Teen council Beauty, Jieriel, Kevin and Josef deliberated on who will leave the secret quarters. Of course, they did not choose their own guardians to leave the house (a loophole in this season if you ask me). Instead, they chose to evict Tita Violy (Valerie’s aunt), Mommy Rose (Rona’s mom) and Mommy Jinky (Priscilla’s mom).
