34-year-old actor John Estrada is once again in trouble when he was arrested by the Philippine National Police-Aviation Security Group at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on March 20, Thursday, for illegal possession of bullets.The actor was about to board a Malaysian Airlines plane bound for Kuala Lumpur when the final x-ray machine detected a nine live 9 mm ammunitions in his hand-carried bag. Estrada is facing charges for violating Presidential Decree 1866 or the law against illegal possession of ammunition.
This was not the first time Estrada found himself in trouble with airport authorities. Estrada was briefly held by airport police in General Santos City in May last year for joking that he was carrying a bomb in his luggage.
Police said Estrada had refused to let his luggage be searched, saying he was carrying a bomb.
Estrada, who was scheduled to fly back to Manila via a Philippine Airlines flight was brought to the General Santos airport security office.

American Idol Alum JASMINE TRIAS has the Philippines in Her Back Pocket
From Grammys and gold records to college and day jobs, life after American Idol is a mix of the ordinary and the entertaining. When Jasmine Trias landed, only Mount Pinatubo could have rocked the Philippines harder.
By one account, it was complete mayhem. By her account, complete mayhem is actually pretty accurate. "I was nervous and scared," Trias recalls. "All the media was on me."
On Tuesday, February 5, under the cloak of secrecy, Lindsay Lohan went to the Hotel Bel-Air to meet photographer Bert Stern and restage the legendary series of photographs Stern had taken of Marilyn Monroe in 1962, six weeks before her death—a portfolio of pictures known as “The Last Sitting.” How did it come about? Stern had decided that Lohan was the perfect actress for this project, and when he asked us if we might be interested in working with him on it, we were, naturally, more than enthusiastic. So was Lohan—the 21-year-old happens to be a Monroe fanatic (you can read more about her in Amanda Fortino's story)—still, we sent her Stern’s book so she could study up on the shoot. That morning, Lohan arrived (ten minutes early, actually). 
Hair and makeup took two hours; there were three wig changes to get precisely the right shape and shade of platinum. Stern duplicated the original 1962 set, down to the lighting. Lohan was unafraid of some of the eerier parallels between herself and Monroe, and she embraced every aspect of the shoot. She knew that Monroe had worn little more than a chiffon scarf, and she came with the same spirit.
Seven hours and hundreds of frames later, the pictures were made. Photographer and star were satisfied, and photo director Jody Quon flew home, just a little stunned that it had happened at all.

PIOLO PASCUAL and ANGEL LOCSIN Shoot Sexy Scenes in Calatagan Batangas for Lobo
Nasaksihan na ng lahat sa wakas ang pagpapalit-anyo ni Lyka (Angel Locsin) nang magkatotoo na nga ang hula na siya ang huling bantay ng mga Waya. Samantala, patuloy namang binabantayan ng fans ang lumalalim na relasyon nina Lyka at Noah (Piolo Pascual). Kapanapanabik ang action scenes ni Noah lalo na ngayong tumitindi ang conflict niya sa kanyang mga superior sa military.
Samantala, natuwa naman ang male fans ni Angel sa pagsusuot nito ng two-piece swimsuit sa telebisyon. “Grabe ang tensyon ko,” kuwento ni Angel. “Kasi for TV ito e, hindi katulad kapag magazines na pose lang, ito may acting involved, pero comfortable naman ako kay Piolo lalo na at this point dahil matagal na rin kaming nagtatrabaho together, so at least, hindi ako nahirapan sa aspetong ‘yon.”

“Wala akong masabi nung lumabas kami ng stage,” kuwento ni Angel. “Grabe, overwhelming ang feeling, mahal na mahal nila ang Lobo at ang mga shows ng ABS-CBN, nilalapit daw namin sila sa mga pamilya nila dito sa Pilipinas. Kaya in that sense, nagpapasalamat kami at nagiging instrumento kami, nagiging inspirasyon sa mga Pilipino dahil sa mga programang ginagawa natin. Ang Lobo, malaki ang faith namin sa project, na makakapagpasaya kami ng tao, makakapagbigay-aliw, makaka-inspire. At salamat din sa production at management, hindi kami pinabayaan.”
Promise naman ni Piolo at Angel sa mga sumusubaybay sa palabas, “Naging masarap, mahirap, naging challenging ang buhay para kina Lyka at Noah. Naging kabahagi kayo nun. Maraming salamat,” sabi ni Piolo.
Ayon naman kay Angel, “Mas magiging makulay, masaya, magulo, kumplikado ang buhay nilang dalawa. Abangan n’yo po ang mga sorpresa namin sa mga susunod na linggo sa Lobo!”
Ang Lobo, na direksyon nina Cathy Garcia Molina at FM Reyes, ay mapapanood gabi-gabi, sa Primetime Bida block ng ABS-CBN.

Kahit last year, mas maraming artista ang umalis either sa beach or outside the country for the long holiday weekend ng Semana Santa. Ito lang kasi ang panahong wala talagang trabaho ang mga artista kung kaya't sinasamantala nila para makapagbakasyon at mag-relax.
This year though, it seems that Boracay, Baguio, and out-of-the-country trips are not in dahil sa ginawa naming forum kung saan sila pupunta this Holy Week, most answered either pabalik sa mga probinsiya nila or nasa bahay lang. Sa halos lahat din sa kanila na mag-a-out of town trips, mga pamilya ang kasama nila.

Hindi maipinta ang saya ni Claudine Barretto nang magpunta ang buo niyang pamilya sa Hong Kong noong nakaraang buwan. Ito raw ang kauna-unahang pagkakataon na makapunta sila na buo ang kanyang pamilya. Kasama ang kanilang eight-month old na bunsong si Santino. 
"Sobrang saya! Bale mahigit thirty kaming nagpunta dun. Na-enjoy naming sobra. Na-enjoy ng mga anak ko kaya ang saya talaga namin!" kuwento ni Claudine.
Lalong nagningning ang mga mata ng aktres nang dumapo ang usapan tungkol sa kanyang mga anak na sina Sabina at Santino.
"Alam mo, wala na siguro akong mahihiling pa. Hindi lang basta simple joy ito. Ito ay isang napakalaking joy para sa amin ni Raymart. We can only be thankful for this. Ang bait talaga ni Lord sa amin," pagmamalaki ni Claudine tungkol sa kanyang pamilya.
Patuloy ng aktres, "Si Sabina, ateng-ate talaga siya. Mayroon siyang bagong laro ngayon with her baby brother. Kunwari siya yung teacher. She will tell Santino 'this is the sky, this is red, this is a rainbow.' Siyempre yung kapatid niya, nakatingin lang at hindi pa nakakapagsalita. ‘Tapos sasabihin niya sa akin, 'Mommy, he is not talking to me.' Sobrang cute talaga nila, at talagang natatawa talaga ako sa kanila.
"Hindi ko rin nakikitaan ng pagseselos si Sabina kasi she knows kung kailan niya naman kailangan ang attention namin ni Raymart. She would say 'Mom, its my turn now. Dad can you carry Santino.' She would also say 'Can I sleep with you or can I sleep with Santino?'
Ibinahagi rin ng mag-asawang Claudine at Raymart ang ilang baby pictures ni Santino. Makikitang hati ang pagkakahawig ng bunso nila sa kanila. May anggulong kamukha ni Claudine, meron namang very Santiago ang dating ng bata. Pero bata pa lang nakikitaan na ng magandang hugis at hitsura ang bata.
"Madaldal na rin ang bunso ko," sabi ni Claudine. "May mga words na nasasabi. He sleeps kasi in his room, so ako... Kasi si Raymart, gusto niya pitch-black kapag natutulog siya. Yung baby naman, kailangan kasi may konting ilaw. So ako, in the middle of the night, lilipat ako sa kuwarto ni Santino. In the morning, sasabihin ni Raymart sa akin, 'O, tumakas ka na naman.' Pero katabi naman niya si Sabina kasi gusto rin ni Sab yung madilim talaga.
"Pero alam mo, our kids have made us closer to each other. Kasi yung ibang couple kapag nagkaanak na sila, puro kids na lang. Pero kami ni Raymart, sobra naming nae-enjoy yung time namin sa isa't isa with our kids," pagtatapos ni Claudine.

TV Ratings (March 14-16): MARIMAR Finale Breaks Records; Pacquiao-Marquez Rematch a Knockout
The two-hour finale of Marimar last Friday, March 14, generated a whooping 52.6 percent rating to break its own record of 49.5 percent last November 16, 2007. More importantly, Marimar's 52.6 percent beat the 52.1 percent rating posted by Darna on April 14, 2005.
Marimar's final episode—featuring the wedding of Marimar (Marian Rivera) and Sergio (Dingdong Dantes) with the live telecast of the wedding reception—posted an even higher rating of 57.5 percent in non-cable households.
Meanwhile, the delayed telecast of Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao's rematch with Mexican fighter Juan Manuel Marquez last Sunday, March 16, posted a rating of 48.5 percent. The telecast was actually more than two-hours late because the fight, which was won by Pacquiao via a split decision, finished at past 12 noon (Manila time) and was broadcast live on radio and pay-per-view in cable channels.
However, the rating of the Pacquiao-Marquez rematch was slightly lower than the telecast of Pacquiao's fight with Marco Antonio Barrera on October 7, 2007, which posted 50 percent.

JAKE CUENCA Honored to be Leading Man of KC Concepcion in Her First TV Show
Masuwerte talaga ngayon ang young actor na si Jake Cuenca. Sa dinami-rami ng aktor na nasa pangangalaga ng ABS-CBN, siya ang napili ng management na maging leading man ni KC Concepcion sa first episode ng bagong show niya sa Kapamilya network, ang 'I Am KC'. Ito ang papalit sa timeslot ng Volta ni Ai-Ai delas Alas na nag-last airing na noong Saturday, March 15.
Sa interview kay Jake last March 16, sa taping ng ASAP '08, sinabi niya na sobrang natutuwa siya na nakapareha si KC.
"Sa first episode niya, very honored ako na ako ang ka-partner niya. So, gagalingan ko talaga," sambit ni Jake.
Kung tutuusin, puwedeng sina John Lloyd o Piolo Pascual ang ipareha kay KC dahil mas sikat ang dalawa kay Jake. Kaya sabi tuloy ng iba, kinabog daw ni Jake sina Piolo at John Lloyd. Ano ang reaksiyon dito ni Jake?
"Ganun, ganun ba yon?" natatawang sabi ng young actor. "Ako naman, basta alam ng lahat na masayang-masaya ako sa trabaho ko. Masayang-masaya ako tuwing may dumarating na mga oportunidad na ipakita ko yung craft ko, yung passion ko sa pag-arte. Kaya ako, basta may bagong trabaho na pumapasok, masayang-masaya na ako doon. Lalo na honored ako na si KC pa ang kapareha ko."
Isang taping day lang daw si Jake sa first episode ng show ni KC na pinamagatang "Binibini."
Si Wenn Deramas ang direktor ng "Binibini" at first time din ni Jake na makatrabaho siya.

MARIAN RIVERA Spotted with Rumored Boyfriend Ervic Vijandre in a Bar
Marian Rivera was reportedly seen last March 13 with rumored boyfriend Model Ervic Vijandre in Temple Bar, Greenbelt Makati City.
And who is Ervic Vijandre?
In an exclusive cover story of YES! magazine in their January 2008 issue, Marian admits that, before making it in show business, she had already been through three relationships. Her third boyfriend, an athlete who plays baseball for the Philippine national team, was the longest and the most serious relationship she has had so far.
"Six years kami," she smiles, without giving us the guy's name. "Ever since third year high school pa lang ako, kilala na niya ako. Hanggang nag-college ako, siya ‘yong boyfriend ko."
It was last November 2007 when Anna Pingol, YES! associate editor, had an interview with Marian who admitted that she was too busy to engage herself with anyone
"Hindi na nga ako natutulog, paano pa ako magbo-boyfriend?" natatawang banggit noon ni Marian.
But when asked if there's a good candidate for Mr. Love-me-for-what-I-am?
"Hmmm, actually, siya," she smiles.
Who?
With a bit of mischief in her eyes, she says: "Si six years."
So, sino pa nga ba si Six Years kundi si Ervic Vijandre, a model wannabe who stands 6'1" and like Marian is a graduate of De La Salle University.
When Marian, during her launching as Karimadon endorser, asked about her lovelife, nag-beg off siya. Gusto raw niyang "may matira pang konting privacy" tungkol sa buhay niya.
